Panos was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgable about the history of Athens and was able to answer all of our other questions about Greece. Having lived his whole life in Athens, he showed us hidden gems we would have otherwise missed out on. His English was excellent and he was very easy to understand. Learning about each site before being dropped off and easily being able to go back to the car whenever we were ready was amazing. Fun day trip from Athens

Our driver Theo was a very welcoming guide to the Greek countryside. Right off the bat, he asked us what we wanted to see and tailored the tour to our preferences. We stopped for greek coffee in the morning, went to the lake and swam for a couple hours, then we had lunch at an awesome locally owned fish restaurant by the sea. All along the drive Theo told us some interesting stories about ancient and modern life in Greece. It was great to see the Temple of Poseidon from the ground because we saw it again a week later from a ship, like the ancient sailors did. Overall, great experience!

Excellent tour

Stephanos was wonderful and gave us so much information about Athens, the history, the people, and the lifestyle. We talked about so much. He was an excellent driver and his enthusiasm made the tour so interesting. We enjoyed the changing of the guards and all the details Stephanis shared with us throughout the day. The Acropolis was very crowded. We would caution people going there that the marble can be slippery and the steps can be steep. For some older visitors it can be a fall risk. The site is roped off so you are still at a distance from the ancient sites.

This excursion was amazing. It was one of my favorite excursions in Greece. The view from Poseidon Temple was unbelievable. The sunset was breathtaking. Our driver Theo was very knowledgeable and funny. He asked us if we had seen several places and we told him we had. We told him the only thing we hadn’t seen was the Olympic stadium. He said he would take us there even though it wasn’t part of our tour. He was so accommodating. Crispy Local is a wonderful company to take tours with. The drivers are the best.

Awesome day in Athens!

We arrived in Athens on the day of a massive taxi driver/ tour operator strike. All excursions from the cruise ship were canceled, and passengers were scrambling to make other plans. Our Viator booking called us to relieve our concerns that they were fully operational. The driver was fantastic. He chatted with us and discussed the places that would be best for us to visit- the best part of a private car is that you make your own itinerary. He took us to several historic locations and the changing of the guards and still made it to our reservation at the Acropolis with time to spare. He gave us tips for each location and we had conversations about the historical significance of each place. He took us away from the crowds of tourists to an authentic Greek bakery with amazing delicacies and ice-cold drinks. The lack of tourist traffic allowed for several extra locations, and our driver made the most of our time in Athens. Highly recommended!
