Our tour guide was excellent and very personable. I recommend Dimitri anytime for such a tour. He was able to educate us on the rich Greek history of architecture throughout the city, the great good, culture, and Greek alphabet!! You can't go wrong taking the food tour with him. Every place we went was spectacular and the food was well prepared. We were in the heart of Athens and felt like locals walking around with him.

Irini was lovely and the food was great. She was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her city. Also very personable.
This was the second food tour that I did in Athens. We enjoyed the variety of food and in fact returned to one of the restaurants to have the best souvlaki we have ever eaten the very next day. If we had more time we would have gone for a third . It was a lot of food to eat during the tour. By the end we were just nibbling because we were so full.
The guide however was a bit unkept and vaped continuously . Not what I would expect from a professional guide.

It is a great way to experience a number of different types of Greek food and hear some Greek history. Our guide, Manos, was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. No need to have dinner plans. Our entire group of 8 was plenty full after the tour.
Voula was very friendly, outgoing, knowledgeable, and a great tour guide. We had a variety of different foods and she explained why and when the Greek people enjoy each meal. I highly, highly recommend Voula. Such a wonderful person and host.
We had a fantastic experience with Yanni! He was a great tour guide and customized the tour based on our interests. Since we mentioned we wanted to see a beautiful Greek Orthodox church, he even took us to the oldest Greek Orthodox church in Athens, which was a highlight. We enjoyed six delicious tastings and stopped at several local shops along the way, making the experience feel authentic and personal. Highly recommend this tour!
Yanni took us on an incredible gastro-tour of Athens with the unfettered enthusiasm of one who truly loves his city...and its food! We were plied with way more than 10 traditional Athenian tastings and even convinced to try a dish or two that were definitely outside our norm. If a place was closed due to the Holiday, he quickly adapted and found another option. We were treated with some great views, great historical insight, and a delicious experience. Yanni wasn't just a tour guide...he became family for the morning!
Great food. Gloria was a great knowledgeable guide. She knew so much about the foods of Greece. She also did not take us to places she realized we wouldn’t enjoy
What a fantastic way to discover the Athens food scene. Voula was the perfect host and ensured that we were able to experience more food than we could possibly imagine. I highly recommend this tour to anyone that loves to see a new city through food.
Dmitri was terrific. He was personable, knowledgeable about the food, the history or Athens and the architecture of the city. Felt like we were touring with a friend. Totally enjoyed all the food and drink experiences he shared with us (and also enjoyed meeting the merchants we visited as well). Fabulous way to spend a few hours - highly recommend.
We had a great tour with Dimitri! He was super knowledgeable and customized our food tour to meet our dietary needs! We got to try a lot of great food and learned a lot of history as well! Definitely would recommend!
What a wonderful way to start our visit to Athens! Our Tour Guide was Makram and this was a private tour. Makram was knowledgeable, engaging, funny and really made this experience come to life for both of us. He treated us with dignity and respect and didn't just focus on where the locals eat. He included history, anecdotes and humor into the experience, making it a wonderful introduction to Athens. We will return. to Athens, and when we do, we will ask for Makram and repeat this tour. It was that good! Don't skip a private walking and dining tour. You will feel a part of the city and its people immediately.
We didn't go. There was a taxi strike and Viator didn't advise us. Our guide told us we could take 3 busses or a metro back to the hotel. At 85 years of age, I thought that was not good for me. Had we known even the day before, we would have canceled earlier.

The tastings were mostly at retail shops that had these products available to buy. It seemed more like a hard sell to buy their products than the tastings as suggested by the pic. It was done standing up in the shops with a fancy presentation by the bee people selling an expensive range of cosmetics as well as honey and other food products. It felt like we were expected to buy from each retailer. We walked round the streets with the tour guide who shared a lot of history of Athens. We were given juice to walk with then stopped at the retail stores. We sat down at a restaurant and had kebabs like we get at home in Australia. Then we walked to a cafe that only provided iced coffees ( not hot ) and Greek donuts. It was highly recommended by friends because they went to a fun quirky cafe and had a ball and their male guide was fun. Our guide was dressed very casually and seemed unprofessional. A disappointing tour, a bit over 2 hours and not worth the $147 AUD we paid, plus the extra purchases of some products.

The experience was excellent! We were immersed into the culture of Athens by our wonderful guide Mammos! The scenery and diversity of Athens was so interesting! The guide took us to unique restaurants and shops! The variety of food was good!
This was an excellent tour. Nasir was knowledgeable, fascinating and was easy to follow. We ate so much food that we didn’t need dinner, and it was all delicious. He toured us through markets and restaurants, each place getting a snack or a meal. And we thought the snacks were the meal until we ended at a restaurant with many plates to share.. and alcoholic drinks. He was very people friendly. Highly recommend.
Dimitris was fantastic! Peraonable, knowledgeable and off the beaten path information. We loved that he also gave us perspective from a local. He personalized it for our culinary preferences. We felt like it was the typical local Greek experience. We would go again!!

Fantastic walking food tour with an entertaining and knowledgeable local guide (Jorgos). Great selection of delicious food, and a walking tour of some interesting neighbourhoods.
The tour was excellent. We were able to eat at authentic Greek restaurants and were immersed in the culture. Dionysis was an excellent tour guide!
Dimitri was extremely knowledgeable and gave us an exceptional experience! He was engaging and did not rush us at all. We LOVED all of the food and would have never stumbled into the restaurants even if we tried. Thank you Dimitri for making our first night in Athens so special!
We love food tours. Amazing way to understand a city and a culture. Great for a couple or a group. We were 6 people so we had a private tour. Ate Amazing food and places we would have never known about. We loved our guide Yorgos. He was fun and easy to talk to and became a friend very quickly. Great experience.

Eleni was very nice and knowledgeable about the local foods, markets and restaurants. There was a great variety of food, drink and desserts. Very accommodating for allergies and food preferences. Everything was delicious and we left very full and satisfied.

Dimitri was an exceptional guide. Made it feel from the moment you met him like you were old friends catching up. He was very knowledgeable and catered the tour to what he thought we would enjoy more.
He took us to a gorgeous distillery from some tastings- Polykala Distillery where we met Nina who also made us feel very welcome
Dimitri also gave us some fabulous advice on other things to do whilst in Athens

From the second Voula greeted us with her big smile and friendly vibe, we knew we were in for something special. She made us feel like we were visiting a long-time friend rather than just taking a tour. Her warmth and passion for Greek food and Athens really shined through the whole time.
Voula took us to the coolest local spots, tiny tavernas, street food stalls, meat markets, and hidden gems, places we’d never find on our own. Every bite was amazing, and she kept telling us fun stories about the food, the history, and her favorite local traditions. We were so full by the end, but in the best way possible! The food was insanely delicious, and we loved every minute of it.
What made it really special was how genuine and kind Voula was. She took the time to chat, answer all our questions, and make us feel like family. It honestly felt like hanging out with a friend who just happens to know all the best food spots in Athens.
This tour was definitely a highlight of our trip, a perfect mix of great food, laughs, and new friendships. If you want an authentic, fun, and super memorable experience in Athens, Voula is the absolute best!
Food tasting was great and Voula, our tour guide, was the best. She walked us to various places around the center of Athen were we had the opportunity to taste typical dishes, desserts and liquor. We also had the opportunity to bust a local honey producer (3rd generation) that was amazing.
We enjoyed the walk through central Athens. each stop had different features which we enjoyed. In Greece it is polite to eat all food presented to you.
