After waiting 30 mins and texting the tour guide multiple times , my wife and I decided to contact support. Support did an amazing job handling the situation. They could not get ahold of the tour guide either and gave me a refund. After a walk back to my hotel then the tour guide told me he had an emergency and couldn't make it. I get it emergencies happen and its out of our control. But what I think after reading similar reviews was that he canceled due to not a lot of people booking that day/time

Fun way to explore the nightlife

This was a nice way to meet people and explore athens nightlife. The first two stops are bars that aren’t super crowded - which I like it’s a good way to get to know the people you’re touring with - and the last stop is a club which was a little more crowded but we could all still move and have fun. I appreciate the guides because they made sure we all felt safe (specifically the women) and were having a good time. The only complaint is they did switch up the date at the last minute. I originally booked for Saturday but they texted Friday asking if I could go that night instead because they didn’t have enough people going Saturday. Then Saturday I received a text offering a discount for me to join that night (which I couldn’t because I already switched my schedule around). Luckily I had a flexible schedule and could attend Friday, but if your itinerary isn’t flexible the possibility of rescheduling is something to keep in mind.

We went to a bar with no other people in it than the group. The music was too loud to talk to each other. Other than the first bar the other locations where more like clubs. The free shots did not contain any alcohol or at least we didn‘t feel it. I could only recommend this tour if you are in a group allready and go from place to place for fun, but not if want to meet new people.

Hello Joel, Generally in Greece the later it gets, the bars start to "turn" into clubs due to the big number of people visiting them. I didn't expect to hear any complains about the shots because personally I find them delicious! I hope the noise and the shots had not that big an impact in your overall experience and I hope you had fun with the rest of the group!

Good group of people bad tour guides

The people at the pub crawl were awesome but the guides left the whole group at the third club. The guides only took us to three clubs and never came back they left super early and didn’t have any drinking games. I don’t understand why they would just ditch us and not say anything.

Hello James, As you can see in the description we say we are going to visit three bars, and occasionally we visit four depending on availability, in the last bar you can stay as long as you want to typically the tour guides stay with you some time and then they say goodbye, if we didn't see you when we left the club and said goodbye to the group we apologize for that it wasn't planned! We hope you had fun at least with the rest of the group! Thank you for your response we appreciate the feedback as we try to make the experience as good as we can!

Dissapointing experience

As promoted on the ticket, we were supposed to go to 5 pubs and we were only taken to 3. The guides stayed with us for 2h and a half (after getting us in the third pub they left) and were not involved in getting the group together whatsover. As fans of pub crawls around Europe, me and my brother were dissapointed with the experience and would not recommend it.

Hello Livia, It's sad for us to hear you didn't have a good time. In the description there were 4 pubs not 5 first of all and we skipped one because the owner couldn't support us because he informed us that his pub was very crowded and we decided to stay more at the first 2 bars. I believe it is a little unfair when you say the guides were not involved to the group, since we always try to make everybody comfortable especially the solo travelers if we see them not socializing! We really hope to give us an other try we try to learn from our mistakes in order to make the experience as good as possible!

Worst pub crawl ever

I've done a lot of pub crawls and this was the worst one ever 1. We did not go to all the bars of the itenerary they skipped one 2. Event days a total of 5-6 hours. The even started at 10pm. Around 00.30 the host left? And he left us alone in the last bar 3. Hosts don't put any effort in organising drinking games or socialising. Just shows 3 bars and gives 2 free shots 4. Says there will be a dancing instructor. There isn't.

That's true we skipped Dos gardenias the pub with the dancing instructor because the during the pub crawl the owner informed us that we won't fit in because his bar was too crowded and unfortunately we skipped this one. 2. The event time was 4-5 hours not 5-6, and indeed the hosts around 1 o' clock they left since it was the last bar which was an all nighter,there was 3 shot one in per pub, as descripted, but I get your point. 3. A lot of people from your group thanked us for the fun night and we even exchanged phone numbers to hang out another day, so i can't really understand why you say that we didn't socialize. You made some really good points and we try to learn from our mistakes, i hope one day you reconsider and rejoin us to see that we really want to give a fun and welcoming night to our city!

Had an allotted time for 10pm and I showed up around 945 waited until 10:11 and there was no communication on where the guide was. All of my Viator guides have sent emails and professionally given me multiple forms of contact in case I need to reach out but this one had none of that.

A really nice experience for a solo traveler. The people were nice and friendly, which is something I was looking for. If I go back to Athens, I will definitely repeat this.
