Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and fun, engaging the whole family. He was excellent. I highly recommend a private tour, you learn so much more. Well worth the price.
We also opted for the pick up option at the port. Our driver was amazing. Prompt, knowledgeable, and fun too. He gave us a city tour on our way back and we learned so much about history and Greek culture past and present.
Tours in Athens can be chaotic- I know, I was here 5 years ago and took a cruise sponsored tour. This was so much better. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Petros is a great guy, fun to talk to and very knowledgeable on the history of the Acropolis. He was very flexible and adapted everything based one the needs of our group. The tour is absolutely excellent and well worth it. Be mindful that going on the Acropolis can be physically demanding for some. Honestly, I could have spent the whole day in the museum and on the Acropolis listening to Petros. There is simply so much to see and learn and without a private guide, you will lose out on plenty.

Lydia was an amazing tour guide. She had an in-depth knowledge of the Acropolis and thoroughly explained the history of the site. I have mobility issues. Lydia was patient and found easy ways for me to get around the site.

Lydia is incredibly knowledgeable and has an obvious love for teaching that comes through in her tours. She happily answered all of our questions and made the best of our short tour time. By using Viator, we were connected with Michael, who was absolutely fantastic, guiding us through the Acropolis museum and the pantheon. He energized us with the smallest of details that we now hold, dear in our memories. He also referred us to a restaurant near the exit of the Acropolis, which was thoroughly enjoyable, with really exceptional staff that helped us get an Uber back to the cruise ship.
Michael’s knowledge and professional delivery was so additive to our enrichment of this beautiful place we were visiting for the first time. The experience added to our travel today, but more importantly in the years ahead. Great job!

Yesterday (9/4/26) we had the real pleasure of a private tour of the Acropolis hosted by Mariana. We met as arranged and she took us first to the relatively new Acropolis museum located at the foot of the Acropolis where we spent about two hours. Mariana’s knowledge surrounding the quite fascinating museum exhibits was impressive to say the least. No question was left unanswered and her style of delivery was engaging but relaxed.
We then moved on to ascend the Acropolis. Taken in stages it was an easy enough walk which Mariana interspersed with further explanations of a number of historic sites on the way.
Once we reached the Parthenon site we continued to be impressed by Mariana’s depth of knowledge and style of telling a story.
Throughout our 3 hours or so with Mariana we were both entertained as well as richly informed. Mariana’s passion, depth of knowledge and capacity to paint pictures with words was impressive.

Eva was an amazing guide.
We learned so much about ancient Athens. The museum was so tastefully designed to highlight the reflection of the Acropolis in its windows, see-through glass floors to view the ruins below, movies about the history of the Acropolis, a giant LEGO model of the Acropolis, many Greek origins of common words, the democratic introduction to government by Pericles.
She always offered to take our photo against the iconic scenic backdrop and was so enthusiastic in relaying all her fascinating stories.
We gave taken many private tours and Eva was the best teacher we have ever encountered.

If you’re planning to visit the Parthenon, the Areopagus, or the Ancient Agora, *do yourself a favor* and book Nicole. Her English is flawless, her knowledge is encyclopedic, and her storytelling—oh my!—it’s as if the marble itself starts talking when she speaks.
Every stop felt alive. At the Parthenon, she didn’t just describe stones; she conjured gods and philosophers. On the Areopagus, she brought Paul’s sermon to life with such vivid detail I could almost hear the echoes. And in the Agora, I swear Socrates himself might have nodded in approval at her insights.
Nicole’s warmth, humor, and deep passion for her city make her not just a guide, but a storyteller of the highest order. She has that rare ability to make ancient history feel personal and immediate.
And if you happen to notice a twinkle in her eye when she mentions the sea—well, that’s the Corfu in her talking. A little island magic from the Ionian, sprinkled across the marble hills of Athens.
I’ve taken many tours across Europe, but Nicole stands out above them all. Absolutely unforgettable.

Having a private guide was great. No need for headphones and big buses. This is a great company to use. Also met the owner on another tour. They were so good we added a tour onto our trip thru them. Make sure you go early like they said. As we were heading out the crowds was getting bigger.

Eva was extremely knowledgeable and informative about the City of Athens, the Acropolis and the Parthenon. We much preferred the private tour vs. a self-guided tour with the masses. We were a bit late due to travel delays, but she was flexible and accommodating. She was an efficient and conscientious tour guide. The online order process was less than ideal, impersonal, and communication was difficult as the various customer service agents we dealt with lacked clear English dialect. We had also requested the best English speaking tour guide and while we very much enjoyed Eva, our group of six frequently had difficulty understanding her with her Greek based English dialect, especially with all the ancillary noise in the background from the thousands of other tourists.
