Highly recommend this Viator tour if you want to see the best of Athens in a day. It’s a busy itinerary, so be prepared for a full day of exploring, but our guide was excellent and kept us engaged throughout. Traveling in April was a great call; the crowds were manageable and the temperature was just right

Wear good walking shoes. It is a strenuous climb to the acropolis and my husband and I only made it halfway while our adult kids went all the way up. This tour lets you move at your own pace but there is a lot to see. Michael our driver was great and gave us an amazing overview of Athens. He took us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch where we enjoyed authentic Greek dishes. There were 7 in our group and we all enjoyed this tour. We can't say enough about what a great guide Michael was. It was so much fun!

We were very happy with our tour and tour guide. Michael was a knowledgeable and friendly tour guide who was funny and matched our personalities and senses of humor. This was an excellent tour when we did it. The woman who was our guide, a phenomenal understanding of the history and communicated that very well during our trip.. both the driver and the guide were extremely polite. The van that they used was in excellent condition and likely the best way to tour the entire city. I highly recommend.

Our driver Michael was an excellent guide. I can't say enough good things about this company - our tour was on December 26th and we were contacted the night before and advised that all the museums and major attractions would be closed. We were given the option of a full refund which we appreciated but decided to go ahead with our tour. Michael was very informative and engaging and took us to as many sites as possible. Overall definitely recommend.

Highly recommend. Our tour guide, Anestis, gave us a wonderful tour of Athens. Not only did we hit all the key spots, he also took us through local neighborhoods and we enjoyed an authentic family-owned Greek restaurant for lunch. Very enjoyable day and well worth it!

A very full day of city highlights and lots of information. Our guide was nice and knowledgeable. We walked a long way up to see the acropolis but it was worth it. The elevator was not working the day we were there.

This was a great tour! Athens is definitely big and busy and it was nice to have a driver to help us get around. In all of the other tours we took, we had a driver and a tour guide who went with us to each site. But our tour guide, Michael was great. He knew a lot about each site and was from the area! We had a great time and were very thankful for him. I just texted when we were ready and he was there within a minute.
We stopped at this great restaurant for lunch, Karrapn. It had good service and great food. Would recommend!
Our favorite sight was definitely the Acropolis which I loved you can see from everywhere in the city. Very tiring day but would reccomend!

Athens is spectacular! The guide was maybe a little unnecessary. We felt we probably could have found it all on our own if we'd read up, and with the bus or metro. He didn't add much, nor was he super personable.

Our driver Dimitris is friendly and knowledgeable. He recommended a local Greek restaurant and it's the best meal for our entire Mediterranean cruise trip. Price is reasonable and the seafood is so fresh. We miss it very much.

Christos, our driver and guide was fabulous!!! He was friendly, accommodating and very knowledgeable of Athens!

Dimitris was a fabulous guide throughput the day. He picked us up at our hotel in Plaka. At each stop he would not only inform us of what to see or notice but also provided iinformation and history about the site. Dimitris told interesting stories about Greek mythology, Greek history and word origins. Timing was perfect. A few of the highlights - we witnessed the changing of the guard, visited the modern Olympic Stadium, of course the Acropolis, admired the Pantheon, then walked through Agora before going to lunch at a typical family owned restaurant away from the tourist areas. He took us to the highest hill for a spectacular view of Athens. Before he left us off at the end of the day in Monastariki he pointed out other attractions and activities, especially noting the rooftop restaurants with views of the Acropolis. A great way to start our visit to Greece.

We were a group of 10, all family. Taking a private full-day tour with Dimitrus was PERFECT. He was very knowledgeable about the routes, the history of Athens/Greece and he was very flexible adapting to our needs. He reshuffled several sightseeing times to make the experience more enjoyable. Dimitrus also took us to a favorite local’s restaurant and it did not disappoint. The Gods were with us as we had a beautiful day with an excellent driver in Dimitrus who was also a history expert. Can’t imagine any way to improve the experience!

For this tour we were driven and guided by Dimitris. He was excellent. I have done tons of tours and he was the best! He maintained great communication prior to our trip and I felt comfortable knowing he would meet us at our cruise port. He was there with our name! He had a beautiful and clean Mercedes van that had a table in it! We loved it. There were 9 of us total including a senior citizen and an elementary school kid and a bunch in between that.
Dimitris drove and continuously gave us information and trivia. He knows his mythology!
He drove us as close as he can to any site we were going and if he could get parking, he would escort us and tell us about the area and take our pictures. If not, he explained everything thoroughly and was at the meeting point! We never had to look for him or call for him, he was always there.
He is a witty and funny guide who had is mesmerized the whole tour! If you are lucky enough to get him, you're in for a treat!
