We want to show you our garden and collect together the ingredients that we will use for our dishes. We will prepare two types of pasta: ravioli, fresh pasta filled with ricotta or vegetables or meat. and the noodles that we will dress with sauce or with vegetables, or an excellent pesto. we love to show you an ancient recipe for a cake with chocolate pears. a good glass of wine will not be missing and at the end of the lunch we will let you taste our liqueurs.

Great views and getting there half the fun

We loved this cooking class. Salvatore was funny and helpful. Everyone was included… would be good to cook your own and eat what you made, but you eat all together and just do the making. Getting up to the farm was exciting!!! Recommend just for that… and the views!

Delicious Italian dishes made simple giving confidence to try it back home.

A friendly and relaxed atmosphere with a very knowledgeable and talented chef. After meeting at a nice hotel in downtown Sorrento we went on a bus ride to a remote facility to prepare our pasta and tiramisu dessert. We made the pasta and stuffed the pasta making ravioli then made dessert. Each person then gets their specific meal back finished in the kitchen by the chef. Very enjoyable afternoon and meal. Tour ends by a return bus ride to Sorrento.

Incredible Experience

We took Emily’s family-style cooking class in Positano and it was one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, the family welcomed us like we were old friends — warm, generous, and so genuinely happy to share their traditions with us. We made pasta and dessert completely from scratch, and both turned out incredible — some of the best food we had in Italy. The whole atmosphere felt like being invited into someone's home for a big family meal rather than a typical tourist activity. If you're visiting Positano, don't miss this experience — it's authentic, delicious, and full of heart.

We had the BEST experience taking this cooking class on the Amalfi Coast! From start to finish, everything was incredible. The staff were so warm, friendly, and welcoming, and they made the entire experience so much fun and enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious, and getting to cook, laugh, and enjoy the experience together made it even more fun. This is truly an experience we will never forget and one of our favorite memories from our trip to the Amalfi Coast. If you’re visiting the Amalfi Coast, you absolutely MUST do this cooking class! We cannot recommend it enough and would 100% do it again!

A marvelous and accessible introduction to making pizza - and reminder of the difference between the traditional way and what has come after. We learned a lot, and we enjoyed our instruction, which was perfectly calibrated to newbies like ourselves. Honestly, if you take just one courses in Amalfi, make it this one!

Amazing experience!

We were met with a warm hello and a glass of wine. The setting is out of this world, set high above the coast on an organic family farm with a restaurant. There was ample food and equipment for us to use. Each of us were able to mix, roll and cut the pasta form Ferdinando's recipe. Making the mozzarella was so easy and fun, made us want to make it at home. The tiramisu was simple and delicious. All in all th recipes were simple and clean but had the best flavor and Ferdinando made it a wonderful experience. I have had a few cooking classes but this was the first that I know I can make at home. A definite book you will be glad.

A Wonderful Experience

What an amazing experience at Chef Barrone Cooking School with Anna G. during the morning session on Sunday, September 13! Anna was AWESOME!!! She made the class so much fun and truly hands-on. We didn’t just sit and watch—we cooked, made our own pizza, pasta, and even made dessert. It really felt like we were part of the entire experience from beginning to end. And the setting is absolutely beautiful! The cooking school is tucked into the hills of Sorrento overlooking the sea, and the glass-enclosed kitchen has a gorgeous view of the Gulf of Naples. It’s hard to imagine a better place to learn how to cook Italian food! We made pizza, gnocchi, tagliatelle bolognese, and finished with tiramisu. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and it was some of the best food we’ve had in Sorrento. But as wonderful as the food and setting were, one of our favorite parts was the people. We met such nice people from all over during the class, and everyone cooking, eating, laughing, and talking together made the day even more special. Great food, beautiful views, wonderful people, and an AWESOME teacher. Thank you, Anna G., for giving us an afternoon in Sorrento we will always remember! 🇮🇹🍝🍕❤️

The BEST cooking class you will ever take.

Gio and his family were so welcoming and made this cooking experience truly unforgettable. Plus Gio is the funniest guy you will meet and had us laughing the whole time. We had a class full of people from all over the world, which made everything 10x cooler. We enjoyed lovely pasta, vino, and tiramisu. At the end, we took a walk around the property and to a beautiful lookout point. It was truly such a memorable part of our trip. Overall 12/10 experience.

We had such an amazing time at our cooking class in Sorrento!! The entire experience was so much fun from start to finish, and the meal we made was absolutely delicious! We loved learning how to make an authentic Italian meal and are so excited to take everything we learned home with us and attempt to recreate it ourselves! Their family farm was also absolutely stunning! The property was beautiful and getting to experience it with the most gorgeous sunset views made the evening even more special. Such a memorable experience during our time in Sorrento and something we would definitely recommend to anyone visiting! 🤍

Incredible, authentic experience

Carla and Rocco were wonderful. Everything about this experience was special- it was a truly authentic Italian experience out of their own home (with a stunning view of the coast). Apart from the tourist traps on booking sites, they started their business by advertising via signs on the beach years ago. They’re the real deal. Food was amazing, and every detail was well prepared and came with generations of Italian family cooking history. The wine was fabulous too! Thanks again Carla & Rocco!
