Best decision we made! We absolutely loved this class and getting the opportunity to enjoy a nice meal with an amazing family. Emily was so kind and funny, and it seriously felt like we, a bunch of strangers from different parts of the world, were a part of their family. We learned so much about the local culture and history while learning to make delicious Italian dishes. The food was amazing, chatting with other travelers around the table was rewarding and a nice change of pace, but nothing could beat the amazing view from their beautiful kitchen. I just want to say again, thank you so much Emily and family for welcoming us into your home and caring for us like we were family. You were amazing and you have a beautiful home. Would recommend a thousand times over and to all my family and friends.

Our experience was fantastic. The family made the entire group feel like family. It was not just gnocchi and tiramisu, it was a wonderful Caprese salad and meatballs. And of course wine and homemade lemoncello!! If you are looking for a “real” family experience and not corporate, please do not hesitate to spend your day with this charming family.

Where do I begin. The cooking class was so authentic and fun. You really get a glimpse of Italian culture and what a better way to do it but through food as well.
We learned a lot from our hostess and chef. The food was tasty, the wine bottomless, and the experience a joy for me and my partner.
Would recommend to all my friends and family to try in Positano.

Great family, zero individual cooking involved. This was not a cooking class, but a family history get together. Really great hosts but I genuinely thought I’d be chopping, cutting measuring things out. The family basically pre measured and cooked everything themselves. Limited cooking. It was a great experience heating about an old Italian family - but no cooking involved. None of the recipes were even shared 😩

Thank you for your feedback — we’re glad you enjoyed meeting our family and appreciated the story behind our traditions. However, I’d like to clarify a few things about our experience.
We proudly carry on the culinary traditions of my grandmother, and every guest receives a detailed 10-page PDF with all the recipes, including exact measurements, instructions, and tips to recreate everything at home. Nothing is left out.
During the class, we absolutely do cook together. In your session, we made handmade gnocchi from scratch — and you personally made your portion — as well as homemade tiramisù. These are key parts of our cooking experience, and I honestly don’t know what more we could offer in terms of hands-on involvement.
If you were expecting something more chaotic or a more individual, one-on-one style lesson, perhaps with a focus on just chopping and drinking, then this may not have been the right format for you. In those cases, we always recommend booking a private cooking class, which we also offer.
Our goal is to share not only food, but family, culture, and tradition — and we do so with great care and love.

A Fun and Delicious Experience in Positano!
We had such a fun time at this cooking class in Positano! The host was warm, welcoming, and truly made the experience feel authentic and memorable. We learned how to make homemade gnocchi and tiramisu — both were absolutely delicious and surprisingly easy to follow thanks to our instructor’s guidance.
The only downside was that getting to the location was a bit confusing. Positano can be hectic and crowded, especially during peak season, so it would have been helpful to receive more detailed instructions in advance. Clearer guidance on which bus or taxi to take, or what to tell the driver, would have made the arrival process smoother.
That said, once we arrived, the experience was fantastic — great food, great company, and a beautiful setting. Highly recommend, just make sure to plan your transportation ahead of time!

My husband and I had the most incredible time with Emily and her family. This cooking class was definitely the highlight of our trip to Positano! We felt so welcome at their home and enjoyed not only learning how to make some yummy dishes (gnocchi and tiramisu), and tasting other great foods that either Emily's family grows and makes, or sources locally (meatballs, cheese, salami, and caprese), but also hearing about Emily's family and how cooking has shaped their lives. We would absolutely recommend this cooking class to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing, delicious evening!

This was the best experience we had throughout our time in Italy! Emily and her family were so welcoming and you could tell how much emotion and love they had for sharing their personal stories and history through food. The food was amazing and so much fun to learn how to make! We were nervous with the transportation to and from the class but Emily made it very easy by arranging a car for us to share with other guests so we all arrived together and on time! This was such a once in a lifetime experience with hosts that truly care about what they do and connect personally to everyone they welcome into their home I could not recommend this tour more!

Emily and her family were wonderful! Emily’s brother met us at bus stop and we walked a short walk to their home. Beautiful open area dining with kitchen. There we made together delicious gnocchi and tiramisu. Emily gave history of her family home, her grandmothers life and love for cooking. I would highly recommend this class!

Loved this class! Beautiful location in the restorer home of the teacher situated up on a cliff. Nice small class of 16 people from all over. Made gnocchi, tiramisu, meatballs, red sauce - all delicious. Very special experience learning her grandmother’s recipes. You could tell the teacher was passionate about beautiful fresh Italian cooking.

Everything was absolutely wonderful! The history lesson was priceless! We were welcomed into their home and made to feel like family. Everyone cooked their own meal. It was absolutely delicious. This was by far one of the best experiences we had on our 8 day trip to Positano. Emily and her family were SO kind and thoughtful. Their villa has such a beautiful and rich history to it, it is like stepping into an Italian dreamland, except somehow it is a real life place! The cooking was incredible and such a fun way to learn to make gnocchi and tiramisu. 10000/10 recommend taking this amazing class/experience.

Emily and her family were so welcoming and knowledgeable we enjoyed this cooking class so much! It was a perfect end to our last day in Positano. There was just enough of hands on and relaxing. Emily arranged for pickup from our hotel so getting there was stress free. The food was mostly grown in the families garden and everything else was only the top quality ingredients. Many opportunities for photos as well at the families beautiful home on the cliff side. I would recommend this class to anyone visiting the amalfi coast, and we will be back!!!

This was an incredible, local experience in Positano! Emily and her family were so kind and welcoming. Being able to prepare both tiramisu and gnocchi was so fun, and being able to dine outside on the family’s beautiful patio was a great way to end class. Emily was also so helpful in coordinating taxi pickups / drop offs for the couples as their home can be a little tricky to get to via public transportation. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Positano!
