This was the cutest and most wholesome experience ever. The chef was friendly and explained every thing so well. We made tortillini pasta, tiramisu, and mozzarella which came out so good. It was a team effort for our group and the other groups involved. We got to meet the other groups that were taking this cooking class as well and it made the experience feel like we were one big family cooking together. The fact that this took place in what looks like to be someone’s home, made it feel even more authentic. I would recommend this cooking class and I’d recommend you the chef! He did a great job!

Giuseppe and Valentino were great! The class was small and very hands on. It was authentic and very family-oriented. Located on a gorgeous farm in Agerola. Everything we made was absolutely delicious! They give a great explanation of how to do everything and then served us dinner with what we made. We did it from Amalfi and took the bus to Agerola and it was only a 10 minute walk. Would totally recommend for an authentic Italian cooking experience!!! ☺️

Part history, part comedy, part cooking. Our family of 6 had a wonderful time. A highlight of our trip!

Valentino and his sons Giuseppe and Giovanni provided such great hospitality, and are top notch chefs! It was so charming that Valentino was sous chef while his teenage sons were the bosses :) We were fortunate to come in the off peak season (mid-March) so my husband and I lucked out with a private cooking class! We learned how to make homemade tagliatelle, mozzarella and tiramisu, and sampled delicious homemade wine and limoncello. Would highly recommend this class. If you stay in Amalfi city center, recommend arranging a driver or booking pickup with the tour!

My husband and I had a great time at this cooking class! We learned a lot and enjoyed meeting and talking with the other people in the class. However, the location is very difficult to get to and from if you do not have your own transportation or if you are staying anywhere other than Amalfi. I would recommend otherwise!
Response from Host, Oct 2023
Dear Lexia,
thank you for your great review and feedback. Since we would love to make this experience even more accessible, we are planning to offer a pick-up/drop-off service, starting next season.

This is at the cutest farm with a sweet, Italian family who knows how to cook! Wonderful experience, farm fresh ingredients, and great wine (made right there at the farm). It's a little drive to get to the farm, but so worth it. Such a nice break from the city. Highly recommend!

Eating the food that we made, on the outdoor patio, with homemade white wine was awesome! Very fun experience.

Valentino was an amazing host. This is a well worth cooking class and experience. However, just know the Viator app states there is a meeting spot. There is not. You must get to the house on your own. From Amalfi you can take a bus for very inexpensive or a taxi is very expensive. Check the bus schedules as it’s a bit confusing. Once you stop in Algeria, you will have to take a short walk to the house. You will not find it on your own so ask someone where it is. Once there you will see a sign which looks like the colors of the house with the name. Then you are there. So not miss the walk up to the viewing point ver near the house. That’s the picture from that location. So plan transportation and the experience is fantastic. And…the food is great too, especially because you make it !!

Fantastic experience, hands on, and a show. Fun pasta making, and amazing food to cap it off. A different kind of experience everyone should have.

Valentino made the whole day a wonderful experience! I have never tasted better food! The tiramisu was the best we’ve ever had and we’ve tried it everywhere! So warm and friendly.

I normally never leave a negative review but I am having a difficult time deciding on my rating. The class description does state maximum of 30 people so it is my error that based on the pictures I assumed it would be a smaller group. The weather was awful on the day we went therefore many people in the class who had outside activities planned had to cancel those plans and joined the class that very morning. We had 30 people and it felt very crowded and was loud and difficult to hear. Although very charming our young (13 year old) host Giovanni could not control the class. We were instructed to wash our hands and put on our aprons. About 10 people washed their hands..When the next class came in we saw them putting the same aprons on that our class had used. People did wipe their hands on those aprons. When you have that many people using their hands to make Tiramisu- mozzarella- and pasta the lack of hygiene was off putting. The Tirimasu and mozzarella making went fairly fast but due to only having 3 pasta machines - the process of running the dough through the machines took forever. We heard the owners saying they didn’t have enough food so they needed to run out for more supplies. The next class was coming in while we were finishing our meal. Due to weather We were not able to tour the farm, or visit the viewing point. We did not have the limoncello. The owners were obviously stressed and this came through in their interactions with us. If you are looking for a small completely hands on class I would just say beware as you could end up in a very large group. Transportation to and from the farm is difficult if you are trying to get a taxi. To end on a positive note- the wine was plentiful and good.

Dear Elaine,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on your recent experience with our cooking class. We appreciate your perspective and would like to address some of the concerns you raised.
- The unexpected increase in the number of participants resulted from adverse weather conditions that led many travelers to amend their bookings simultaneously. Typically, we do not have 30 people in each class, and the images you've seen reflect the average rather than the norm. However, it's essential to clarify that while our classes are generally smaller, they are open to a maximum of 30 people to accommodate varying preferences and group sizes. We appreciate your understanding and will work on improving our communication to avoid any future misunderstandings.
- Hygiene is our top priority, and we take your concerns seriously. We will revisit our procedures to ensure all participants adhere to proper hygiene practices. Your feedback about the aprons and handwashing is valuable, and we will make the necessary adjustments to maintain a clean and safe environment by trying to enforce strict rules for all participants.
- As for the supply situation, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the need to restock during your class. We will work on optimizing our inventory management to minimize disruptions and ensure a seamless experience for all participants.
- Finally, we would like to let you know that we are actively establishing a reliable transfer service to facilitate a seamless journey to our location. Our goal is to enhance the overall experience for our participants and make transportation more convenient. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we strive to implement this improvement.

The highlight of our trip to Italy! The class was such a great time. The food and wine was delicious and the location was beautiful

If you want an authentic Italian cooking experience, this is your place. All the way up in the mountains of Aregola, sits a BNB with an amazing family. They grow and harvest all their crops. Their 17 year old son taught our class and he was excellent. We made fresh mozz, gnocchi, and tiramisu. Of course when we ate it, they came out with homemade wine. Afterwards, the son showed us their farm and brought us to the top of the mountain for a beautiful view of the Amalfi coast. Very family oriented and highly recommend!

A bit far if you come from Sorrento for example.
A great stop on our journey of the amalfi coast.
Tasty as well… :)

This cooking class was an amazing and memorable experience! Being a family owned business, each of us were able to get a more hands on experience and it was not rushed at all. The small size of the group was perfect and the food was amazing. Would absolutely recommend to anyone staying in the Amalfi area!!

Guiseppe was wonderfully funny and very engaging. The food was amazing and the tour of the farm was incredible. The entire family was so welcoming.

We had a great and fun time cooking with Giuseppe and his family!! It was such a unique and genuine experience full of culture. Not only did we make pasta from scratch but we got to drink homemade wine, tour their beautiful farm, take photos at a breath taking view, and learn about local Italian culture. Also, Giuseppe and his family helped us out when we had trouble calling a cab. Well worth the money, highly recommend.
Laura_S, Jul 2023
My family and I had a blast making tiramisu and different types of pasta. We also got to try their homemade Prosecco and olive oil, it was all delicious!
Celia_L, Jul 2023
Our young host, Giovanni—what a ham! He made this experience quite the excursion. We learned how to make tiramisu, mozzarella, and gnocchi, which were then presented to us for dinner. Absolutely delicious! They served the meal with a delicious wine out of non-labeled bottles—fresh from the vines, I can only assume. The company was varied and very friendly. Giuseppe took us on a tour of the farm and to the most breathtaking panoramic spot in all of Amalfi. Definitely worth the money. The only negative comment I would leave is that the hosts disappeared after setting the table and presenting the food, which was a bit awkward, but we eventually figured it out and started to eat!!
Santoshmahitha_C, Jul 2023
Good class. Made two types of pasta, tiramisu and saw how mozzarella is made and we ate it all later. We were a group of 8 and enjoyed talking to others. Pasta making was very guided, with 11 year Olds helping around.
helise_b, Jul 2023
The experience was amazing We made our food from scratch. The hosts were warm and friendly and very funny. The bell was wonderful. Grab the bus from the Amalfi ferry dock.
