Fun couple or group tour. Been coming to Williamsburg for 40 years and we learn something new on every tour. Steve was great personable and kept group engaged. Might change some of the bars we stopped at. Not all were welcoming.

Terrific ghost tour with Lisa! Loved the restaurants we visited for a beer all while seeing historic Williamsburg. The experience was even spookier, with a huge thunderstorm erupting, while we were touring the graveyard near the historic church. We saw a light turn in a window with organ music playing in the church building. Learned about so many historic events!

Lisa the tour guide seemed a bit u organized as we didn’t know how h to e brews part of the tour was going to work , no explanation at all . She was quirky and told some good stories , however I wouldn’t recommend or go on this one again

Great tour to learn about some history of the area with spooky twists. I don’t think that I would refer to it as a Pub Crawl since we just visited one bar and ended the tour at a brewery. We happen to do the tour on a Tuesday so one of the featured Bars was closed on that day. The tour guide was very informative.

The drinks at the pubs are not included with the price. Our whole thought they were. 56 for ghost stories and a guide is a bit much. The whole night ended up costing us almost $100.

We enjoyed the tour. Tom walked us through the square and gave us a lot of info. We I guess didn’t have time to do the church, so we walked over to Precarious, (7 min walk from where we parked) unfortunately just to have a little story time & be told we could either go in, or not and that was the end of the tour. Little disappointed in that, other than that, it was a good time.

The tour was advertised as a ghost tour and bar crawl, and shows on Viator the 4 stops you are going for drinks amd it said there would be ghost stories while we are getting drinks, and the ghost stops as well. During the tour we only went to 2 of the 4 drink stops and at the end of the tour the guide just said she would give suggestions of additional places to go, which was just the other 2 bars we were supposed to go to during the tour and didn't. On top of skipping the drink places the two we did go to had very little time to even order a drink much less drink as it is still an establishment open to the public. We had around 12 people on the tour and by the time the last person got their beverage it was essentially 5 min warning at the 1st place. At the 2nd place we were told outside at 6:49pm to meet back a 7:05pm, so even less time than the 1st place (15mins to order and drink the beverage, return the glasses and meet outside). At neither location was a ghost story or anything else told.
The fix would be to add some of the stories as advertised to allow time to have a drink. The tour really needs extended to leave ample time at the drink places (should be 15 to 20 mins from when the last person gets their beverage minimum).
This tour ended at about 7:20 pm, so 25 mins early so there was plenty of time to have added time at the drink stops.
The last stop of the ghost tour was supposed to be the Bruton Church with the cemetery. We didn't go anywhere near, she just pointed from the Market Square at it from a far, and claimed we wasn't because of service, meanwhile every other ghost tour in town has walked right up to it and the street is in the middle of Colonial Williamsburg with tons of people walking by.
The tour itself has some major issue and I wouldn't waste any time or money going until it is fixed. Read the other comments, they all say very similar things.
The guide however was very pleasant and knowledgeable and was an excellent guide. The places we did go she had really good knowledge and insight, so no issue with her. But the tour itself isn't structured correctly, seems to be inconsistent, and under delivers heavily on the pub crawl aspect.

Tom was a great tour guide who was very educated on the history of William & Mary and had interesting ghosts story’s to tell. My person favorite was the Crypt under the Wren building.

Cindi was knowledgeable about Williamsburg history and very easy to listen to. She left the tour rather abruptly because she accepted an opportunity to do another tour. The two companions we met on the tour were a highlight of the evening.

The day of the pub tour we noticed that the 5:45 tour was no longer listed on the website for that day so I confirmed with the tour company through Viator that the tour was still on. They assured me it was on for 5:30 (15 min earlier than booked). We showed up to the meeting spot at 5:15 and waited until after 5:45 and no one ever showed up to lead the tour. We took pictures of ourselves at the meeting spot which are time and date stamped on my cell phone. I emailed Viator and let them know that no one showed up to lead the tour and I needed a refund. I also included the timestamped/dated photos of us at the meeting point with the statue clearly in view. Viator responded and claimed that the tour guide showed up and waited and we didn’t show up which is patently false. They offered to give us a credit for a tour in another city because we’re leaving VA today but at this point I don’t want to do any tours with this company.
I totally understand that things happen and sometimes tours get cancelled. If they had just refunded me, that would have been fine and I wouldn’t be leaving this terrible review but to lie to me about the tour guide showing up especially after I sent photos of us waiting at the meeting spot is really ridiculous and the worst customer service possible.
I do not recommend booking this tour or anything though Viator.

I really wanted to enjoy this, but it was not at all as advertised. We met at one bar and sat there for a long time. The tour guide walked around the table and told somewhat of a "ghost" story and showed us pictures on her phone of what might be a haunted place. The whole point of a haunted pub crawl is to walk past haunted and spooky places on your way from one bar to another. That did not happen at all. All we got was less than a handful of very hard to hear stories (that were repeated numerous times to each group within the tour) while sitting and having a drink and looking at pictures on the guide's phone. If I wanted to just look at pictures on a phone, I would stay home and save $35. I also think the price was very high for not even including one drink in the price. We only went to technically 3 bars (but really 2 since 2 of them were literally right next door to each other). I also think it would be helpful for the guide to have a microphone or at least be able to speak loudly enough for the whole group to hear. My friends and I were very disappointed. It's a shame because I've been on good ghost/spooky pub crawls before, but this was NOT one of them.

Only hit Hounds Tale and Dog Street Pub. We were dropped off by Percarious, but our guide had to leave to do a ghost tour. We did walk by Wren Building and Kimball. However we were never taken to Berret's Seafood and we did not pass by Public Hospital or the Bruton Church. 2 simple ghost stories were told. Very disappointed. Most of our group was.

We arrived on time at the right place but the guides were a no show. We tried to contact the tour without luck. After waiting an hour and a half (at least we had beer!), we decided to leave. When closing out, the bar manager said the same thing happened last week with the same tour! So, unless you want to be ghosted by the guides, do NOT BOOK THIS TOUR!!!
