We are very disappointed in this tour. This tour was not what was expected and was by far the worst tour we have been on. The tour lasted 2 hours and not the stated time of 2 hours 30 minutes. We started at the Campo San Luca but thereafter, we did not get to do the following which were listed on the itinerary: admire the Rialto bridge, see the Scala Contarini del Bovolo, we did not go to the Campo Saint’ Angelo or Teatro La Fenice. We asked the tour guide Hossein, when we would see the Teatro La Fenice and he replied that there was nothing to see and that we could go and see it after our tour. He then took us to a shop near St Marks Square selling Venetian masks and regalia and told us to go in to have a look around and told us it was his friend’s shop. We were not particularly interested but we went in. Then when we came out of the shop the gondolas were outside the shop and Hossein then showed us to our gondola. He took out his phone and started recording his own comments and he then turned the phone to us and asked us if we would give a review. This was an extremely inappropriate action as we were put on the spot to say something to the camera which was already recording us. Finally, the gondola ride was supposed to be on the grand canal but we did not go anywhere near this. It lasted 30 minutes instead of the 45 minutes stated in your itinerary. The tour guide may have been knowledgeable about Venice and its history but he did not follow the published itinerary which was extremely disappointing. This was our most expensive tour and it was not value for money.

Hossien was an excellent guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. He brought the history of Venice to life, made the tour interactive, and even took photos for us. He also shared great recommendations for shopping and dining. The tour was well-paced, providing ample time to see key sights without excessive walking. To top it off, he arranged a gondola ride for us, making for a perfect ending. The walking tour lasted about 1.5 hours, followed by a 20-30 minute gondola ride. I highly recommend this experience—10/10!

I would not recommend the gondolier we had-I believe his name was Andreas and he was not friendly at all and barely spoke to us. He would answer questions very curtly and softly so you could hardly tell if he was answering the questions. He offered no further info.In fact, if we would have not asked any questions, I don't think he would have spoken to us at all. He seemed more interested in talking to his gondolier friends passing by and he just didn't seem like he wanted to be there. Really spoiled our gondolier ride experience!

Marco our guide was great! He was very informative and showed passion for Venice. He was patient as I was slow going up and down all the bridges. He gave us a lot of history and pointed many highlights. He was flexible on the order of the day!

I would give our tour guide Reza a solid review for what he contributed to the tour. My review is for the expectations of the described tour which was lies. The description said approximately 2.5 hours. Our tour was 1.5 and that included the gondola ride. The ride was expected to be 25-30 minutes as directed and it was 13 minutes. I’m a low key person and can handle people that under deliver but this was way below my level of tolerance. The tour was less than advertised and the gondola ride was super disappointing.
If I could go back in time I would not only avoid this tour I would also scrutinize the platform I saw it on and decided to take it from. I am not sure I would ever use Viator again based on this experience and I really like the platform. I just don’t think I can’t trust it.

Our tour guide was very very nice. However the meeting place was extremely confusing. The number of the building did not match at the location. I think you need to have your tour guide also hold a sign, especially if it’s a private tour.

Good tour and guide although his accent made it a little difficult to understand. Meeting point address was inadequate and difficult to find. A landmark should be provided and contact to confirm should be made by Viator a day in advance. That was not done but it would’ve been helpful.

This tour is a must do if you want to get the true immersion of Venice. There’s so much to discover than just the gondolas. Said was great and very helpful! We really did an “at our pace” private guided tour. Stopped at all the iconic places with great views, learned a lot of the historic side of Venice and ended the tour with the iconic gondola ride. There’s a lot of walking involved so dress comfortably and stay hydrated!

The experience was good. However, the tour guide was provided the wrong address. We tried communicating through the Viator app as it states and no one responded. We finally received a call from viator asking where we were and told them at the address we were provided. Gaby was delightful and very energetic. We wished she had a bit more historical knowledge. I believe that will come in time as she is young and still learning venice as a student. That being said, she did have some fun info on Venice and do's and don't which came in quite handy. I recommend Gaby and hope her knowledge continues to grow. The Gondola ride was lame. The gondaleer was not real happy and we went through what looked like an industrial back area of Venice. I think we were hoping for more back street quant areas of Venice. Finally, we ended at the bus station. Which surprised us as weren't familiar with how to get back to where we originated from in Campo San Luca. We are pretty adventurous so we figured it out but had we not been, we'd been lost and not to happy, as we had already been walking 2.5 hrs. All in all. The tour was fun and we really got to see alot of Venice that we wouldn't have. We are here 2 more days and we're looking forward to seeing more.
