This walking tour of Venice provides an excellent introduction to the city’s highlights and history, plus the classic Venetian experience of riding in a gondola.

Meet your guide near St Mark’s Square, wander through the surrounding neighborhood as your guide illuminates the history of Venice as a maritime superpower and incubator of Renaissance art. Admire iconic Venetian landmarks such as the Teatro la Fenice opera house, the Rialto Bridge and the mysterious spiral staircase of Scala del Bovolo. The specific tour itinerary may vary by day, as there is so much to see!

After exploring the city’s romantic streets by foot, climb aboard a traditional gondola boat for a romantic ride along the city’s famous canals. Navigated by a friendly gondolier, cruise by spectacular historic structures along the Grand Canal and float down smaller watery ways in the Fenice neighborhood. Then, step back on solid ground at the Dogana/Valaresso Station in central Venice.

Overall a good city walking tour which will give you an impressive overview of Venice and its many nooks and crannies. The Gondola ride (obviously) was wonderful. Only honest feedback is, the overall pace could be a little slower especially for first timers to grasp the essence.

The tour was informative and interesting. I wasn't aware that I would be sharing a gondola with people that I did not know. The other couple sat in the lounge seating while my wife and I sat on opposides of the boart on small stools. Tfe lounging couple kept asking us to take pictures of them while we were trying to stay perched onto our stools. The gondola ride was miserable riding with another couple who we had no idea who they were. It was really ridiculous and I wish this was explained in the details or on the tour. Had I known I wouldn't even gotten on the gondola. Really disappointing.

Never showed in the spot to pick up all 6 people waiting, and we were there a half hour early.wanted to go traveled all the way from USA for the tour and the boat ride and it was the last tour of the day and leaving tomorrow, I hope next time.

More walking tour less of the gondola ride.

You need to be able to handle the walking on uneven terrain. The guide was excellent and we would have preferred more of the walking tour and done without the gondola ride. Our gondolier was less than enthusiastic.

Nadia our guide was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and a great guide. Explained the different in a clear informative manner . She was able to insure all of the group were involved either the tour . The gondola ride was a dream come true . The staff and driver were careful as we came on the gondola, an experience not to be missed.

Our guide Elena was excellent, and we had a great time on this tour and the gondola ride. Elena was highly knowledgeable and told the story of venice throughout the tour extremely well. The gondola ride started down the grand canal before turning down a side canal, with plenty of opportunities for pictures! My only negative comment would be that its hard to find the tour start, maybe having a brighter / more obvious sign would help. The area the tour starts in is quite busy, so it was hard to find which group was ours.

It was a wonderful experience, but the tour guide really makes or breaks this activity, unfortunately our tour guide was not very exciting. We enjoyed the walking tour, being able to go to places we would not have gone otherwise, but wish our tour guide was a little bit more engaging. Yet there are many different tour guides, so hopefully this was just one average example. Loved going on the gondola! That was an awesome experience for us!

Be early or they sell your tickets

Met at the meeting point at designated time. Tour left without us. Apparently if you aren’t early they sell your tickets to someone else. We caught up with our tour and they were full so couldn’t allow us to join. Not a great experience.

The trip had option in Spanish and they didn't when we arrived. The Gondola ride was not on time, we had to wait 1 hour and then it only took 10 minutes, not worth the money.

Our tour guide was knowledgeable but not very engaging. As we followed her blindly through the myriad of twists and turns that is Venice she never once looked back to see if we were still there. She talked non stop but honestly was hard to understand at times. I do not think k would recommend this tour.
