What To Expect
Getting from Venice Marco Polo Airport to your hotel or private residence can be complicated, but it doesn’t have to be. This convenient boat transfer (for a minimum of two people) takes all the hassle out of renting a car or paying for a taxi boat after a flight.

What a wonderful way to get where you need to go in beautiful Venice. We had a little trouble finding the meeting point at first, but aside from that everything was excellent. Our driver was fun, kind, and very helpful throughout the trip. We would definitely book again the next time we’re in Venice..

On arrival, we made our way to the water transportation meeting point. We didn't see any signage with our names or the provider, so I stopped and asked one of the men standing at the docks, and he promptly called over our driver. From there, it was easy. Our driver was kind, helped with our luggage, and made the experience super easy taking us to the dock directly in front of our hotel. Grazie.
We waited on the dock for over an hour with a group while we watched several other boats leave. No communication as to why.
Crammed us all in with our luggage and made for a hot uncomfortable ride.
Could have gotten the public taxi over and Will next time
Communication was good, boat captain was very nice and helpful. When I signed up for a shared water taxi, I didn’t realize it would be 20 people crammed and I mean crammed on the small boat. Otherwise everything was fine… just be aware of them when booking. Thanks
Great way to arrive. As others pointed out you need to go to desk 71 up the escalator from entrance hall. Desk Dow to left right past Hertz. Also highly recommend hard case suitcase as the luggage will get soaked with waves. If you sit in way back you will also get wet.
Should have been a good experience; but, the driver was grumpy, yelled at us and would not share anything about the city. Disappointing!
The instructions as to where to check in were poor. The worst part was the driver not wanting to take us to the dock closest to where we were staying. I was showing him Maps that we could get closer and he kept saying we were better off getting off here. We have up and walked 10 minutes (not the 3 he said) to get to where he should have dropped us. He was just a lazy SOB.

Helpful getting our luggage onto boat and getting us to Venice
Certainly an experience getting from airport to Venice island!
The water taxi is a fun way to reach Venice after your plan ride. Just know even a semi private taxi can see up to 15 passengers. There are several main drop off locations around Venice. So you might be on the boat for 45ish minutes if you’re the last stop. The description can make it seem like a completely private water transfer but it’s not. I would 100% recommend this option over the pubic boat transport. Those ferries look like they carry more than 100 people at a time and move slowly. This is a much more enjoyable option.
The directions of where to meet were not accurate. We wasted over an hour trying to connect and were sent many different places. Very frustrating and exhausting.
We booked online easy enough, but from that point on, it was a terrible experience.
Didn't tell us where to go to redeem our ticket. Waited ages for a boat, then they argued with themselves for a while before we finally got onboard. From there it was fine, but would not recommend. Don't waste your money.
I found this a great option as a solo traveler. The check in process was easy and I loved the quick and fast travel over. They dropped me off only steps from my hotel. Would definitely travel this way again.
We were absolutely crammed in -15 people and luggage piled up at the front blocking in the door. There is no way that was safe if something happened. The actual boat driver looked shocked at the amount of people they sent down to the dock.
What a way to see Venice for the first time! Arriving by boat was so easy and worth every cent. The boat was comfortable, they captain assisted with our luggage and the views were amazing.
Brilliant way to arrive in Venice. We arrived late due to massive delays at passport control, but it was no problem. The gentleman on the desk was super accommodating and made us relax instantly. There was only us an another couple on the boat so felt super personal and we only waited about 15mins to get onto the boat. Would recommend.
Instructions in advance made it easy to find counter after bag collection. Our flight was delayed and that was no issue. It did take a bit of time before all people arrived from various flights to fill the taxi so it was longer than catching a ferry but easier with drop off closer to our hotel.

Go on first so your bags seem more secure, you may get wet and so may your bags. Better view if sit at back.
We had to wait over one and half hours at Venice Airport for a shared
water taxi to Venice.We checked in at the correct desk, name was put on the computer but for some unexplainable reason, our names didn’t get called, on asking staff at desk why, they couldn’t give us a satisfactory answer

This is a great way to get from the airport to the city and in a unique way. Highly recommend is as a way to see Venice from the water.
Very easy to check-in. You’re provided a ticket and head down to the docks. There will be a staff member waiting to direct you to which dock/pier. The captain of the boat was very helpful and friendly and the ride was quick and scenic through the grand canal. When booking I was able to add in my hotel and my stop was right at my hotel, which made it so easy, especially after a long trip. Would recommend for a unique experience.
Expected a shared water taxi of 6 maybe 8 people. Crammed 10 onto the boat leaving little room for people let alone luggage. It did however deliver us 200m from our hotel as promised.
The transfer itself was fine. However finding where you vould catch the water transfer was difficult and NOT signed at all.
Running backwards and forwards was a long way and trying to find this took at least 30 mins.
No one knew, nor were there airport staff available or to help.
Easy to book, no problem finding the desk, enjoyable water taxi to the hotel. Highly recommend the airport to hotel transfer.
Look for the vendor a desk number 71. It is close to where you leave the airport and take the people mover to the docks
Lovely way to arrive in Venice. They will ask for your hotel and drop you as close as possible.
We did have to wait for half an hour but it was worth it. Think of this like a ride share, sharing the cost of a private taxi
You have to find desk 71, which is up stairs from the arrival area, come out of the lift into concourse, turn left heading for water taxi transfers just as you get to the glass doors on your left is the desk 71, we missed it and walked for 8 minutes found water taxis, then I had to got all the way back to find the desk but we got there in the end.
Very efficient way to transfer from the airport to the city. The views are lovely as you travel along the canals.
