With this small-group food-tasting walking tour of Venice, you benefit from insider knowledge about where to drink and dine in the city while getting a comprehensive introduction to the local cuisine. All dishes are in season to ensure you try the freshest recipes.
Meet your guide near the fountain next to the steps of the Chiesa San Giacomo di Rialto church, steps from the famous Rialto Bridge. Then, get started on a tasty trip through the local specialties, such as fresh seafood, regional wines, homemade desserts, and gelato.
Make eight stops in all, beginning with coffee and pastries. Continue to wine bars and taste wines paired with “cicchetti,” traditional snacks or side dishes similar to tapas. Before the tour ends, try 5–6 kinds of fish, sample local cured meats, and visit one of the oldest bars in Venice.
Top your dishes off with cookies and gelato before finishing the tour at the Rialto Bridge.

- On Venetian and Italian national holidays, the only language we offer is English ( example dates are: May 1st, August 14 and 15, December 24, 25, 31, Jan 1 to Jan 7) .
- We are currently experiencing exceptionally high demand for our tours, so the tour could have up to 19 people. If the number of participants are more than 15 people, we will compensate it by giving you more food and wine. If you show up and see that the tour is larger than the stated maximum, and are not happy with it, we are happy to process a refund. A refund can only processed and YOU DO NOT PARTICIPATE in the tour. No refund could be processed if you decide to participate half way or in the tour at all. This could be communicated to the guide on the day of. We try to send an email reminders out to every one in case our bookings are over 15, but because we are experiencing a massive influx of messages and calls these days, we might miss some of the communication. By booking this product, you agree to the term and conditions stated above
- Please note that the tour meeting time is 15 minutes prior to the start time. No refunds or re-bookings can be provided for late arrivals or no shows after tour commencement or departure
- Children less than 3 years old are free of charge unless they would like to have food on the tour as well. Infants must sit on lap for this free option (no stroller could be bought on the tour for the free option else a regular rate applies). If the infant will be sharing food from the parents plate, we kindly ask that you pay for a child ticket on this tour because this tour guarantees every one to be full and well-fed, and we cant guarantee that to every one if this happens.
- If your chosen language for the tour is not English, and the group at that time slot has less than 5 people total signed up, you would be joined with an English speaking group with a guide that speaks multiple languages including the language that you requested. If you would like an excursion with the guide speaks Italian, or French, or German, or Spanish for only your group, and your group is less than 5 people, it would be a private tour and surcharge will apply. Please message us in advanced if you would like to book a private tour option. Please note that all services and communication on holidays will be conducted in English.
- This tour guarantees you to be well-fed ( full ) by the end of the tour. This is our guarantee to you to demonstrate how much food there is on the tour. This guarantee applies when you eat everything that is present to you on the tour, and still hungry at the end ( which so far, never happened). But incase it does, please tell our guide towards the end, and we will give you more food till you are full. If you have any dietary restriction ( no fish, no meat or gluten free etc. , for example, you need to tell us in advanced at least 24 hours before the departure time) else this term doesnt apply because the restaurant wont be able to accommodate the guests as well as they could without advanced notice
- The tour operates rains or shines. If you do not hear from us, it means the tour is operating as normal and nothing is cancelled
- If one person in the booking require wheelchair access, we suggest that this person have a ferry pass ( to be purchased seperaately)to cross the canal instead of using the bridge
- On certain dates, most travelers staying outside of Venice who are planning to visit for the day will be required to pay a €5 access fee. For further details (including exemptions) and to learn what days this fee is applicable
- On Venetian and Italian national holidays, the only language we offer is English for our tours.
- The orders of stops may change and the types of food, and wine changes by what s fresh at the market but the amount of food on offered is always the same

Arrived to Venice this morning, and took the 5pm tour this evening. It was the best tour we have ever experienced! Giorgia was fun and informative. We had a huge and delicious variety of many food stops with beverages. I’d do it again with her in a heartbeat.

Tasting so many local foods was a great experience! We even got our 16 year old to try each delicious dish. Tasting while you see sights in Venice is highly encouraged. Our guide was wonderful. Come with an empty stomach!

Elena was a fantastic guide, so upbeat, friendly, and proud to share all the city has to offer. The tour was wonderful, strolling around the city trying a variety of tasty bites and learning a little about history and culture. We started with a welcoming glass of prosecco and several cicchetti, then moved onto a sit-down dinner with other local specialties. We finished with coffee, pastries, and gelato. Glad I took the tour, as might not have never tried them!

Our guide was great, knowledgeable, personable, and made the tour enjoyable from a storytelling standpoint. The food itself was pretty average. Nothing was memorable, and there wasn’t a single stop I’d be dying to go back to because it was the best thing I’d ever eaten in Venice.
Portions also felt on the cheaper side. The more ravenous members of our group consistently got seconds, while others of us didn’t get the same offer. The gelato at the end, meant to be the finale, was stingy: just one small scoop.
There was also no water provided at the stops, and the wine pours were inconsistent.
For a Venice food tour, I expected more in terms of food quality, portion sizes, and a sense of local uniqueness. I’ve done better food tours elsewhere and wouldn’t recommend this one.

Perhaps my favorite tour in all of Venice and I did 4 of them. All the food was very tasty and our guide Sarah was magnificent, she thought us a lot about the local Venice cuisine and gave us a lot of advice and suggestions. I’d recommend this tour to anyone that wants to try local Venice food.

It is a lot of walking (not the "progressive" route we expected), and in the extreme heat and with the huge crowds of Venice during the summer, 2026 heat wave, was exhausting, but Martina, our guide, was terrific! The food and wine were generally good, and the tour provided a nice overview of what Venetians enjoy in a casual setting.

I have been lucky enough to take several food tours during my travels and this one was one was one of my absolute favorites. Our guide, Giorgia, was an absolute doll with infectious enthusiasm about every aspect of our journey together. There was a nice variety of food choices and everyone’s individual tastes were accommodated. Giorgia went out of her way to take us down less crowded (and often more scenic) routes which was lovely. If you’re on the fence - do it! It’s an incredible value and you won’t leave hungry.
