Pickup is 2-4 hours before your flight departure time. Exact time will be advised the afternoon prior to your departure transfer date. Our boat driver will meet you at the arranged boat stop along the Grand Canal. Your stop will be chosen as close as your Hotel as possible. Venice Airport Link operates from 4am to 7pm from designated Venice meeting points. Guests are requested to present themselves at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before departure time.

What To Expect

A professional water taxi driver will pick you up at your hotel in central Venice or the Venice Lido area. Sit back and relax as you cruise along the canals and lagoons to the Santa Lucia Station, if departing by train, or the Piazzale Roma bus terminal.

Please provide hotel and departure details when booking your transfer. You will receive instant confirmation and a travel voucher to show the driver. You’ll be asked to reconfirm your pickup time and location 24-48 hours before your departure by contacting the number on your voucher.

Travel from the hotel to the train station via water taxi was pretty painless. Although they didn’t pick us up where we asked, and they said they would, they did let us know with plenty of time, where they would and it wasn’t that far. They were very close to being on time as well. The rest of the trip to the train station (from San Marco) was a quick 10-15 min pleasant ride. Unlike our trip from the airport to Venice, this ride was very very good.

It was terrible. I was supposed to get picked up at my hotel in Venice then a day before it turned into the Grand Canal. I was staying no where near there. There were 4 ladies in late 60’s with luggage. But here’s the kicker it was supposed to be an 8 am pickup time. And 12 hours before I was asking where and no one could tell me. At 8 am I still didn’t know where. At 8:15 am I cancelled and had to get the hotel to order us a last minute taxi. I requested a refund because they could not supply me an address and no one at Viator could either or get hold of the boat. Do not book on Viator.

They do not pick you up at your hotel. If you have any significant luggage it is not possible to get to the pick up site easily. The add says hotel pick up. I put our hotel's name in and received a confirmation. After the refund cut off time I was told of a different meeting point

Great choice for getting from the city to the train station! They emailed a confirmation and map for the pickup point, was right on time. The captain was very helpful and courteous. Picked up a few more passengers then headed for the station. Comfortable ride, like a nice little canal excursion. Highly recommend.

Bad irresponsible service with no revert to messages

Operator did not pickup call and did not inform pickup time. Leaving us no choice to book a new transfers. He called 15 mins before pickup the time. By the time we booked new transfer as we were afraid we would miss our train. Very irresponsible and bad service.

Best guide ever!!! Intelligent and aware. Saw Diocletian Palace Museum inside palace, With great guide commentary. Gorgeous Split Countryside with beach and pretty restaurant With local FoodAnd Music near a countryside River. Great private museum tour of famous local artist as museum was officially closed that day. We’ll worth the money.

Waste of time and miney

I reserved a 6:00 am pick up to take us to the Venice train station. We were at the dock at 5:30 am and waited until 6:30 and no one showed. I went into the Viator app and discovered a message from the water taxi provider that they had us in the schedule for a 4:00 am pickup (which I never saw) Why in the world would I want to pay $77 for a 4:00 am pickup to travel to the train station only 15 minutes away to make a 7:30 am train when a private water taxi costs $80??? Don’t book this! It’s very easy to book a water taxi thru your hotel which I soon found out after wasting an hour waiting on the water taxi which never arrived. Also, my hotels bellmen who are stationed at the dock of our hotel told us no one even showed at 4:00 am

It was just what we had hoped for. The tour operator contacted us with our pick time and location, we got there about 3 minutes early and there they were!! All though it was a shared taxi, there was only us and another couple (we've been trying to stay away from crowds). The drivers were courteous and friendly helping to load our luggage and ourselves on and off the taxi. We'll use this service if we're ever in Venice again.

This water taxi driver was much more smooth on the turns and the controls in general. It felt like he knew what he was doing as well as how fast to go so water didn't get inside the boat on the way to the train station. The water taxi is a great way to get around Venice as long as the driver is good. I would recommend using the water taxi as the source f transportation when inVenice because its fast and convenient due to the canal system.

We requested a 5:55 AM pick up time and we received confirmation for 6:15 AM. Even when I wrote to ask questions - we didn't receive a response back. If you are flexible on your time and don't mind being crammed in to a water Taxi with as many people as they can fit - this would work for you.

Raining, construction boats at our pickup dock. Taxi prompt, on time, had the boats move, tied up and was very careful with us and our bags. Picked up 6 others, got to chat. Rain stopped so pass. Cabin doors opened. No issue disembarking. Good job.

We were met promptly at the meeting point and dropped off at the train station. It was exactly what we expected, the transfer was only a few minutes late and we were there early in the morning therefore did not have to worry about the heavy traffic on the grand canal.

Water taxi did not arrive on time as booked, despite our hotel confirming our booking with the water taxi comoany a day before, to which they had faxed the exact place to meet. We called them 20 minutes after the due expected time and the water taxi spokeperson said it would be there in 5 minutes time. It took another 15 minutes before it arrived. The three other different passenger partiess on board the water taxi were unhappy with the casual timeliness approach too.

We took the water taxi from San Marcos square to the train station. The driver was very helpful. The taxi made many stops to pickup and drop off passengers. There was 2 problems. The taxi was half an hour late and the passengers going to the airport were quite worried and edgy about making their flights. I had allowed extra time so I was not affected. The taxi was very crowded with people and luggage.
