We travelled along back canals which were quiet, beautiful and not so busy. Came out on the Grande Canal for a short ride, which was enough. Our boatman, Diego, was very nice and pointed out points of interest.

The tour guide never showed up. We were told to meet at Illy Cafe but they said the tour didn't start there. We tried going to 3 different gondola stations but nobody had our reservation. Totally disappointed. Trying to get a refund but no luck thus far.

Interesting tour but not in a good way. We did not get what we paid for and what was confirmed. We almost missed the gondola ride because the pick up location was not where it said. Our gondola driver spent a lot of the time arguing with another driver. We paid extra for the coffee/snack part and it didn’t even happen. If you are looking for a low stress activity, this is not it. I guess that it was just good to say that we did it.

It was fun! But, it was a bit overpriced for a 25 minute ride. When we went, in April, you could easily walk up and get on a gondola without planning ahead, and almost certainly pay less.

We were 6 people , so we got separated 4-2 😞.my package had a snack/coffee break included , did not get that and when I asked they said you have to go on your own and did not give more information on how to claim the free snacks / coffee even though it was paid for. Then water was backed up and there was full of water everywhere St.Mark Square and all the side streets and horrible sewer smell everywhere.(July 2nd). I know It’s not your fault but the city should have plan B when the water rises like this .

The instructions are not clear. We could not find meeting point, when we finally found through the friendly kiosk operator, we were 30 seconds late. He said they just left and called the agent. Agent said nothing doing - she can’t help if we could not see the meeting point

There was no experience!! It was rainong really bad, tried with no succes to contact the operator. Then called Viator and they me to be at the meeting point, the Góndolas were "still going" Got there and were told to wait about an hour for the rain to stop, but there was no were to "wait" the expectation was for us to wait under the rain, asked for a refund, but it was denied... next time I will not prepay!

Very disappointed. Not the authentic Italy experience we hoped for. Arrived 15 minutes early as directed. At appointed time a large group of us were moved to a different area and waited 50 minutes to get into our gondola. It felt like a Disney ride. One gondola emptied passengers, pulled up and we loaded in. From there we followed in a tight formation with the other gondoliers where we managed to get into several "traffic jams" and had to wait for others to pass. Our gondolier played loud rock music from his radio and sang along to it. I wouldn't recommend this tour. I'd suggest walking along the grand canal and speaking to gondoliers to see what they offer. Definitely need to see the smaller canals and a gondolier that spoke to us, engaged and gave any info would have been nice.

Hello i bought this shared gondola trip from viator but when i went to the meeting point there was no one. The kiosk was closed! i have asked other kiosks around it everyone said that my trip was booked with the closed one. Now i am asking refund and viator is refusing to give me refund. I took picture of the closed kiosk too. Please refund my money.

Very basic. No talking from driver. About 50 people departing at the same time and all of the gondolas followed the same route. Relatively short ride. Our gondola seats were wet from the light rain (nothing to dry them with). Seemed mass produced.

The Gondola pilot was rude and disrespectful to all four passengers in particular to two women. He barked orders at one lady taunting her by saying “cant you speak English”

super fun and organized. Waited a half hour or so for the gondola and our driver was yelling to other drivers the whole time. It was hard to fully relax because it was distracting but overall it was fun

Day was COLD. Do not sit on the LEFT side of the Gondola, all you'll see is the walls of buildings. Sit in the center, and look forward. "The TV Man"

Iconic tour—meet at central location near San Marco square and travel as group to gondolas. 4-5 in each gondola. Mostly side canals with a bit in Grand Canal to return to starting point.

The ride was very average and only lasted maybe 25 minutes. You had to pay much more if you wanted the gondolalier to share history or sing. Our guy was very nice but not worth the $$

Not worth it even for the great price!
It was very impersonal and uncomfortable. We were in a line of boats going the same route while the gondoliers chatted. It felt more like a ride at Disney. I should not have expected more than this for the price. It is worth spending more for a better, more personal experience.

It was good for the price. The boat essentially follows a row of Gondolas, which made it a little ‘meh.’ I also didn’t know we would be out with another couple. We didn’t get to choose seats because of this. That was a little disappointing.

No one showed up, it was just a torest trap. we tried calling the customer service number, but no one answered. DO NOT BOOK ANY GODOLA THOURGH VIATOR.

Though the views were beautiful it was disappointing that as a couple we were put on a boat with other people. We anticipated having paid for 2 people that we would be the only ones on the boat but this was not the case. I was told afterwards that for it to have been just us 2 we had to arrange a 'private' ride. This should have been indicated in the description or put as a disclaimer. It was not the romantic experience that we had expected.

Everyone should experience a gondola ride. This one was ok. The gondolier wasn’t too friendly. They cut the ride a bit short. But it was a nice experience.
