What To Expect
Choose from two different options with this one-water private taxi service from Venice’s Marco Polo Airport to you hotel. With meet and greet service, a representative will greet you at the airport arrival terminal and escort you to the pier, where you’ll board a private motorboat. With the full-service option, a representative will stay with you from the arrival terminal all the way to the door of your hotel.
Once you hop aboard your comfortable motorboat, relax and enjoy the spectacular ride. As not all Venice hotels have a private water taxi stop, the driver will let you off at the closest available stop.
Motorboats can accommodate up to six people and six pieces of luggage. Transfer service is available 24 hour a day, 7 days a week. Please provide flight and hotel details when making your booking. You’ll receive immediate confirmation and a voucher to present to the transfer representative. Please call the number on your voucher between 24 and 48 hours prior to your arrival to confirm your transfer.
Price is per person, based on six adults per motorboat.
Please note: Guests staying at Venice’s Hotel Marriott (Isola delle Rose) will need to pay a surcharge of €20 at the time of service due to the hotel’s more distant location. This transfer service is not available to Mestre hotels.

- If there are bad weather conditions (such as fog, frozen water, or stormy conditions) on the day of your transfer, you will be diverted via Piazzale Roma by vehicle

- Due to the Hotel Marriot location (Isola delle Rose), transfer to/from this Hotel are subjected to a surcharge of €20, payable on spot

Smooth, professional and friendly experience transferring from the airport to our hotel. The woman who met our plane was very friendly and helpful. Our boat driver helped us with our luggage and provided a safe and very nice boat ride. Very happy with everything and I’d recommend this.

We paid extra for the full service because we figured we’d be tired after a long flight and that would be easier
When we came out of customs (which did take longer because of the new EES) there was no one to meet us. After several calls we were directed to a desk downstairs where we received a voucher and were told where to walk to get the boat.
The boat ride was great and dropped us off at our hotel.
We should not have paid extra for the full service because we did not get that.

If you want a stress free, hassle free quick and easy transport in Venice this is a where to book. Being met at the hotel arrival area was great and easy to spot. Staff were amazing and friendly and just what we needed after a long day of travelling.

Great service, but they didn’t “meet and greet” as promised. If this happens to you, go upstairs to booth 71 and talk to an agent. Frustrating, given the expense, but we got to Venice.

I am still not sure where we went wrong, but i believe we were supposed to met upon our exit from the luggage claim, but were not. So we sort of wandered around, ended up where the boats were, and then called customer service to find out how to connect with our ride. Customer service was nice, and eventually made the connection, and we got our boat ride to our hotel. The boat was nice - we just wish the initial connection had been smoother, so we didn't wander around for a half hour or more, lost. It might have been easier to just walk to the boat area anyway and just get a taxi boat on our own. Viator has always been great to me, but on this particular one, we had a 'miss.'

Efficient and pleasant. Just right for our family of five with luggage. We were met at the exit by a representative with a sign with our name; she walked us along to the pick-up spot, handed us over to our driver, who then whisked us across the lagoon (great views) to our AirBNB.

Booked this private transfer, because arrived 8pm. When we arrived at the jetty, there was no one with a sign looking for us . We had to ask at the public transport office, who kindly phoned someone to find out where our boat was. I had tried but the answering machine said they were closed. We walked back along where we had already passed on our way looking for transfer and the driver came to see us. He was polite, helped load our luggage. Then was on the phone until he dropped us off. Definitely worth doing a private transfer, in hindsight, I assumed that for the price of my booking that they would have been there waiting for us. So communicate more before your arrival.

Excellent professional and safe - despite thick fog and 1/8 mile visibility, the transfer went impeccably smoothly. Greater met us after immigration and walked us the 5 minutes to the boat.
It’s one of those things where it’s not cheap, but it’s good value for money.

Fast and easy way to get from airport to hotel. Met us in airport and took us straight to beautiful wooden boat. Even though cold outside the cabin in boat was warm and comfortable.

We were met at the airport by a very friendly and helpful Nicole who drove us to the dockside in her Mercedes. Our water taxi was waiting for us and the guy took us straight to the stop by our hotel. The guy helped us embark and disembark which for my wife was very much appreciated as she has a knee problem. Not cheap, but a magical experience bearing in mind Venice is a unique city - well worth it.

Easy reservation and payment system. Company could give better instructions as to how to meet - we picked “meet outside luggage pickup” but had to go to their counter closer to the boats. Otherwise, great service.

Excellent service. We were met at arrivals by a very friendly and helpful young woman who took us to the taxi. The taxi ride was wonderful - a fast boat through the Ventian lagoon. Everything was perfect.

It was a bit pricey for those looking for a cheap way to get to the city, however it was the fastest and most directly. And, they dropped us off right at the dock of hotel which was totally worth it after a long day of travel from the states and with my 70 year old mom who was fearful of having to tow luggage though the streets/bridges of Venice. Would take again!

Great experience the representative Julio were there awaiting us. As we walked out through the airport door he was a nice friendly guy he walked us directly to the boat.there we met the boat operator he took us directly to our hotel door, Excellent service.

While not inexpensive, it is the best way to arrive in Venice. Being greeted outside baggage claim eliminates any worry about your next leg of travel.

Started Great..Finished Weak.
We were met after leaving baggage claim and taken to the dock for our water taxi to the hotel.
Nice ride to the drop off point, however it was 9pm local time. So, giving us a map and having us walk through (safe) alleys and over a bridge sounds good.
However, at night in a new environment we got lost quick. A 5 min walk turned into 20 mins.
Next time, at night walking with us on foot would have been a MUCH better experience.

This was a great service. The operator was waiting for us with a sign as soon as we exited customs at the airport. The led us directly to dock where our boat waited. It was a very enjoyable ride into Venice following some long travel which delivered us directly to our hotel. We also booked this transportation on the way back to the airport. It is more pricey than some other options, but was hassle free and we enjoyed it very much.

My hotel has a water taxi stop. I was dropped off much farther. I had a 15 minute walk with all my luggage in the rain. Don't forget you need to drag your luggage up and down stairs to cross channels. You can get a water taxi from the airport without going through Viator. They are cheaper and will get you where you need to be without touring the city with luggage. Very disappointed.

An absolute scam, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
We booked the meet and greet private motorboat service at a cost of £256, where the listing stated the a member of the tour company would meet us after customs and take us to the waiting boat to take us directly to our hotel. We provided flight numbers etc so they could track our flight.
Our flight was delayed, we sent multiple messages via Viator chat to the operator to inform them and received no response. When we got to the airport, nobody was there to meet us. We found the operator desk on the ground floor, which was closed and shuttered with a note saying to use the desk on the first floor. When we walked up there this one was also shuttered. We went to the dock and spoke to airport staff to be told they shut at 11.30 and all of their staff had gone home and nobody will be taking us from that company
We then had to pay another boat another 150€ (significantly cheaper than booking through Viator) to take us to the hotel
I reached out to Viator, expecting to be able to get a refund as no service was delivered, no apology or any form of communication from the tour operator. I was told that the refund would not be processed as the operator doesn’t agree
I have now had to challenge this through my card provider
To take peoples money and then leave them at the airport in the middle of the night without contact and then not refuse a refund is disgusting, and as I see it a complete scam
