What To Expect

When arriving in Venice, skip the stress of taking a public water bus or haggling with boat drivers by pre-booking this private water taxi service.

Your boat will be waiting at either the Santa Lucia Station or the Piazzale Roma bus terminal, depending on whether you arrive by train or by bus. Your friendly and professional driver will be waiting to take you to your hotel in central Venice or the Venice Lido area. Relax and enjoy the ride across the Venetian Lagoon and through the city’s famed canals.

Please provide hotel and arrival details when booking your transfer. You will receive instant confirmation and a travel voucher to show the driver. You’ll be asked to reconfirm your pickup time and location 24-48 hours before your arrival by contacting the number on your voucher.

Price is per person, based on six adults per boat.

Please note: Guests staying at Venice’s Hotel Marriott (Isola delle Rose) will need to pay a surcharge of €20 at the time of service due to the hotel’s more distant location.

Met our tour guide right as we arrived at the train station, she had a sign with our name on it so She was very easy to find. Private taxi arrived 2 minutes after we connected with our guide, making the process seamless and easy. The line for the public taxi was very long and we were able to go immediately to our own taxi. Definitely worth the money in my opinion! Last thing you want to do in Venice is carry your massive luggage up and down the many bridges and stairs.

On time and got us to airport on time. Only thing is this said “private” transfer and there were others with us, which was fine but, our group of 6 travel with alot of luggage and, the other passengers seemed a bit annoyed. This definitely did not bother us but if it was truly private it would have been nicer. That said, the driver did a great job accommodating us and got us to airport safe and sound and with plenty of time to spare.

Superior service! We were met directly coming off the train and escorted to our water taxi…only waited about 10 minutes for taxi to arrive. Taxi delivered us to designated drop off location…travelers need to know there’s lots of walking to hotels and be aware of stairs along the way. Regardless, this service was first class!

Pick up point was in front of a KFC on the opposite side of the train station. No signage and no one including porters knew what the tickets were for. Texted multiple times to company and received no response. after about 45 minutes we got a water taxi. Do not use.

This was brilliant - it took the stress out of travelling! We were met at the end of our train platform and escorted to the water taxi that was waiting for us. We were taken directly to our hotel while we got to sit back and enjoy the journey. Would definitely recommend

This was a blast! We were promptly met at the train arrivals by a greeter with a sign. Then we loaded onto a beautiful wooden motor boat and powered through the canal to our hotel. Felt like a James Bond moment. Got great pictures and everyone had fun. Highly recommend at least once.

There is nowhere to give your train arrival information and when I messaged the tour operator asking where to go and how they would know when to pick up I got a canned answer that they would be at the platform. They were not at the platform and when we called they had no information on our arrival. We were stranded and had to find another private water taxi to take us to our hotel after an hour of calls and messages to both Viator and the operator. Do not book this service.

When i finally arrived at at st lucia station (don’t get off at venice maestro). Nico was there to greet me and they had special boat with raisable platform since I am handicapped. A relief. Ask for this boat if you are impaired in any way

An agent was waiting at our train with my name on a card. He escorted us out to wait for the water taxi along with another couple. They got in theirs. We got in ours. I think if we had waited for the public transport, our trip would have been more thsn than an hour instead of 25 minutes. With 3 huge suitcases.

Greeter didn’t help us with luggage. Waited for 10 minutes in rain because this is not a reserved boat…and taxis/boats were not responsive due to an event. We did finally get a boat and greeter was very nice, but not the experience we paid for.

Our greeter was right outside the station with our name clearly displayed for ease in finding him. He was not only helpful with luggage but gave other recommendations when asked on restaurants and other activities. Our private taxi boat took us right to our hotel door, again handled our luggage and it all went just as we had hoped. I would definitely recommend using this service.

I am beyond upset and will never use this company again. We never found our "private transfer" in Venice and had to, instead, get another water taxi, pay out of pocket an additional $100.00 to get to our hotel. Viator would not reimburse us the $200.00 fee for the "private transfer" that was nowhere to be found. I'm furious. How can you charge for a service that was not used Do NOT pay for this!

We were extremely disappointed in this transfer which was supposed to take us from the train station to our hotel. Instead, we were dumped off at a water taxi station and had to hire a porter to take us and our luggage to the hotel.

Excellent service! Our train was delayed but there were no issues. There was a person waiting at the train station with my name on a card. She took us to the dock where our private taxi was waiting. The boat was clean and well maintained. The driver was super helpful with the bags. A most satisfactory way to arrive in Venice!

Transfer was amazing, as the were waiting right at the train platform to pick us up in a classic Venetian boat. Ride out to the Lido was quick and we treated to a waterview of many of the sites.
