If you are leaving Venice by train this is the best way to go! The host was very friendly and helpful. She met us at our hotel, helped us with our luggage, and trained us how to read the train station signs, how to board and unboard. She waited until our train was there and ready for boarding. She was a great help!

The transfer was great. The boat was early to pick us up and we were greeted by a lovely young woman who helped with everything. We arrived at train station on time and the young woman even walked us and our bags to the platform for departure. Would highly recommend the service.

A professional motorboat driver will pick you up at your hotel in central Venice or the Venice Lido area. Sit back and enjoy the ride as you cruise along the canals to either Santa Lucia Station, if departing by train, or the Piazzale Roma bus terminal.

Please provide hotel and departure details when booking your transfer. You will receive instant confirmation and a travel voucher to show the driver. You’ll be asked to reconfirm your pickup time and location 24-48 hours before your departure by contacting the number on your voucher.

Price is per person, based on six adults per boat.

Please note: Guests staying at Venice’s Hotel Marriott (Isola delle Rose) will need to pay a surcharge of €20 at the time of service due to the hotel’s more distant location.

Warning- Do not use this company - Ever

Warning! Do. It ever use the company to book any travel! I booked a hotel to train station pickup from my hotel at 7:30am in Venice. They left me and my 81yo husband stranded. They couldn’t care less. No one arrived at the hotel to collect us. When I called Viator they said they would refund my money and later refused to do so. They are completely incompetent, dishonest and will rip you off if you book with them. They will lie to you and then go back on their word.

This experience included a private taxi pickup from Hilton Molina Stuckey Hotel in Venice along with a guide who met us at the train station. The guide helped to navigate us through the train station and made sure we were where we needed to be for boarding.

The transfer from the train station to San Stae stop was good other than the fact that we had to run to catch the water taxi and when we were obviously confused and ran past the boat the captain was visibly upset with us for not understanding where we were to be. The real issue came with the return when we were to be picked up from San Stae stop where we had been dropped off. The afternoon before we were to leave we received a message at 3:07 p.m. (our pick up was suppose to be at 10:00 a.m. the next morning so this would not allow us to cancel without penalty) we were informed our pick up stop had bee changed to a Rialto Mercato 9 minutes from our original point. This means we are hauling bags over cobblestone streets and bridges which will take much longer than 9 minutes and going in the opposite direction of the train station! This is unacceptable. We have disputed this and Viator has been gracious enough to give us a full refund for this which is good. However, we would recommend Viator not utilize this service in the future. It was a complete disaster.

I had wanted to exit via the main canal but was thinking that I was going to be taken around it tot he train station. We were happy to learn that the boats go down the canal then cut through the side waterways which was more than we had hoped for. I strongly recommend taking a water taxi from and to your transportation in and out of Venice.

Perfect way to arrive in Venice! We were met exactly as described and escorted to our beautiful private boat - George Clooney requests this boat when he flies in - Our wonderful guide took us all the way to our hotel and explained what we were seeing as it passed by. It makes you feel like royalty to be whisked away while the others stand around trying to make reservations for a taxi or squishing all together to get onto the water bus. My friends didn't know I was arranging this and were delighted to be treated to this experience - the only way to travel!

We had no idea how close the train...

We had no idea how close the train station was to our hotel or we would not have paid this high price for this transportation. We literally could have walked there over the bridge with our luggage. Not the fault of the company - error in our planning. Not worth the expense if you can walk half a mile or so.

I am rating this 5 stars....with one caveat. We assumed that a representative from the private company would meet us at our hotel which was very close to the pick-up location on the canal. That was not the case, and after we waited at the hotel for quite a while, a very harried young woman came running up and informed us we had to get our luggage across the cobblestones to the canal. Fortunately, the hotel staff was extremely accommodating and assisted. We had also arranged for extra assistance due to mobility issues and that worked out perfectly. It was also very helpful that Viator arranged a three way conference call with the taxi company before we left home so that I could explain our specific needs.

Driver was great - sent a note the night before for time of pickup. He showed up maybe 5 min late and was so apologetic - no need it was 5 min. We were met by this young man who took us to the platform and waited with us to insure we boarded the right train. Great young man and a pleasure. Made life easy - do this one!
