Hifumi was AMAZING! She was a phenomenal tour guide and was very adaptive as Mount Fuji tours can be unpredictable with weather. We saw more of the mountain than usual and she made sure we saw it from all places. It was a good balance of active, informative and fun.

Good tour for great...

AC_P, May 2026
Good tour for great pictures of Mount Fuji. Our guide Fujii san spoke very good English and made sure the experience was good.

Response from Host, May 2026

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re so pleased to hear Fujii-san helped make the day enjoyable and ensured everything ran smoothly throughout the tour. Creating experiences that combine iconic scenery with knowledgeable, attentive guides is something we value highly at Tourist Japan, and we’re glad you were able to enjoy Mount Fuji at its best.

Mt fuji

Ilona_G, Apr 2026
This was a great trip to see Mt Fuji from a couple of different perspectives. The only drawback was all the tourists. Our guide, Aki was very personable.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Thank you, Ilona. I’m really glad you enjoyed seeing Mt. Fuji from a few different perspectives, that balance is something we build into the day very intentionally. We know crowds can come with visiting such an iconic place, but we plan the flow of the tour carefully to keep the experience comfortable and worthwhile. I’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to Aki.

Great time was super busy...

Great time was super busy but had plenty of time to see and do everything and usually with spare time.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Thank you for sharing this. At Tourist Japan, our intention is always to create that balance between guided insight and time to explore, so you can take in the places you visit with context, while still having the space to experience them at your own pace. It’s great to hear that came through during your day.

It’s great to hear Hifumi left such a memorable impression. Mt. Fuji days can shift quickly with the weather, so making the most of it and giving you a well-rounded experience is always a priority for us at Tourist Japan. Active, informative and fun is exactly how we design every tour, so it’s great to hear that came through. We hope to have you back for more special memories.

Fabulous views of Mt Fuji

John_S, Apr 2026
We enjoyed being with a small group and the guide, Brian, helped make it feel like a personalised tour. Even though the 5th station was closed due to snow he took us to another lake with (pretty aggressive 😁) swans and an amazing view of Fuji-san. The goddess was kind to us and, despite threatening skies, we had fabulous views of the mountain at all of our stops The restaurant we stopped at for lunch was unexpected and the menu a bit confusing but the food was delicious and we all enjoyed sharing travellers' tales over the meal. We could have done without the 8 ponds as it was crowded and quite touristy but other travellers may enjoy it. Really, the only reason I have not given 5* is that the minibus was very uncomfortable on the 3 hour trip back to Tokyo in heavy weekend traffic. Overall a great tour and an unforgettable experience.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

It’s great to hear the small group made the day feel more personal and that Brian created that kind of experience. At Tourist Japan, adapting the day around changing conditions while still making sure you have clear views of Mt. Fuji and meaningful stops along the way is a core part of how these tours are designed. We also appreciate your feedback on the 8 ponds and the comfort of the return journey, and we’ll take that on board. We hope to travel with you again soon for more unforgettable experiences.

The best way to find the best views of Mt Fuji and other beautiful sites.

Suzanne_L, Apr 2026
Our guide, Sofia, was friendly and engaging. The driver was professional and efficient. The whole day was enjoyable. We had almost clear skies, allowing Fuji to bare his head a couple times. The 400+ step climb up to the pagoda was serious, but there was no pressure to stay together, or to even complete the climb, so those who chose to view from below were welcome to do so. We were there at peak tourist season, so there were a LOT of people, but everyone was patient and chill. The ancient trees at the shrine were a highlight. The air was fresh and cool. We had a lovely day.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Thank you, Suzanne. It’s great to hear how the day came together, from Sofia’s friendly and engaging presence to the driver’s professionalism and efficiency. At Tourist Japan, the experience is designed to feel structured yet flexible, so everyone can engage in their own way, whether that means taking on the full climb or enjoying the views from below. Even during peak season, the goal is to keep the day feeling comfortable and well-paced. It’s especially nice to hear the moments that stayed with you, from the views of Mt. Fuji to the atmosphere around the shrine and those quieter details that make the day feel memorable.

Overall, it was a great...

Ashwika_P, Apr 2026
Overall, it was a great experience with clear weather, and we were able to see Mt Fuji. However, it would have been better to have more time at the pagoda and perhaps visit it in the morning. We felt quite rushed as we needed to return to Tokyo to avoid traffic, so we couldn’t go up to the observation deck due to the long queues and limited time available.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Thank you and It’s great to hear you had a strong overall experience and were able to see Mt. Fuji. The flow of the day including timing at key stops and the return to Tokyo — is planned carefully around traffic and crowd patterns, which can make certain stops feel tighter, especially when queues build. Your note on the pagoda timing is helpful and taken on board.

Great tour

Kirstie_F, Apr 2026
Sofia was a great guide and very welcoming. She was very informative of Japans history, and everything was explained well. Weather was not too great in the morning, but cleared up later in the day for exceptional views of Mt Fuji. Overall a wonderful experience.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Thank you, Kristie! Sofia’s warmth and clarity, along with the way she brings Japan’s history into the day, are exactly what we aim to deliver. We’re glad it came together into such a strong overall experience.

It all just felt super...

Jadyn_D, Mar 2026
It all just felt super rushed. When we got to the stops, we only had 20-30 minutes to walk around and explore, which wasn't enough time with the amount of tourists there in addition to our group. Overall I would have appreciated having more time to really take in the natural sights and buy quality souvenirs, which was impossible with the time constraints.
