Deceiving Activity

We were not happy with this activity. I paid for a private tour and did not meet our expectations. First off, there’s communication barrier with our driver. It was hard for him to explain things to us. He provided us with a small sedan and it was dirty. Although it was just me and my husband, we could have used a more comfortable and spacious ride just like a group of four for sure would’ve been provided. We pay the same anyways. It was a clear day but driver did not bring us to the fifth station. We couldn’t understand his reason for not bringing us there. Recent previous reviews said customers were able to access the fifth station. He did not bring us to the ropeway even if we had enough time as we left early for some of the drop off places. In spite of the disappointments from this activity, we were still generous enough to give our driver a tip because he is young and we figured he needs it. The company offered us a refund but we refused. It would be unethical to accept it since we already did the activity anyways. We suggested a retraining for the driver instead as a service recovery. I wouldn’t recommend this activity unless issues we encountered are resolved.

Custom Trip

Hamza was great! We did a custom trip for a family of four. He offered to pick us up early to avoid rush hour. We went to Hakone Shrine, Mishima Skywalk and the Open Air Museum. He was flexible and kind. He had water in the car and allowed us to use wifi (which was great for our kids). This was an excellent deal money wise as the bullet train (for a family of four) would have cost us close to the same amount.

CheeMa was our private driver for our Mt. Fuji tour, and we had a really great experience. The morning of the tour, I told him all the places we were hoping to see, and he made it happen, even added a few extra stops that made the day even better. He was a very safe and smooth driver, especially in the snow. He picked us up from our hotel in Tokyo and dropped us off at our next hotel, making everything easy and convenient. Overall, such an enjoyable and stress-free day. We would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting to see Mt. Fuji!

Hasan our driver was very attentive to our needs and the tour for the day. He was able to provide a pick-up and drop off from our AirBnB in Ota City, this was not listed in the pick-up points, that was a really good start to our experience. The driver may ask you to start the day earlier. We decided to listen to his local knowledge & experience regarding heavy traffic on highways. Mt Fuji is an very popular destination. There were definitely lots of other tours arriving at the main attractions on our itinerary. However, because we had a head start we were able to arrive at the venues before the masses, and Hasan could find decent parking. We changed our itinerary slightly, opting out of the outlets. Instead a nice view point of Mt. Fuij and a beautiful lake. Hasan took some great photos for us. Always advising of the next best photo opportunities. We would absolutely recommend this tour and driver to anyone visiting. The vehicle was also very comfortable and spacious for a family of 4, including 2 tall teenagers. Thank you! Note. The drive can take up to 2 hrs before the 1st itinerary stop. We advised the driver not to worry about Starbucks coffee stop, as we could see the line to get off the highway was long, we asked for next 7 Eleven for snacks and bathroom stop. This meant we didn’t fall behind in our schedule. We also opting to snack and refuel from 7-Elevens! So much yummy food and not over spending! Definitely a hot tip.

Moon was on time to pick us up at our hotel. Moon thoughtfully reached out the day prior to let us know that the traffic had been heavy the past few days and asked if we could leave a two hours earlier than our scheduled time. Even though it was an early start, it was the best thing because we missed the traffic, the tour buses, and all of the tourists. Moon knew all the back roads to get to all the photos stops along the way & showed us wonderful views of Mount Fuji and the gardens by the lake. We recommend Moon very highly. Thank you Moon!

This is my first trip to Japan, and also with our 20mth toddler. We were worrried that it might be logistically difficult at first, but Salman has been excellent in driving us around to view Mt Fuji and accommodating to our needs. The car was fitted with a child seat, and he even texted us a day before to share his thoughts on the upcoming golden week and traffic, and suggested we one hour earlier. His intuition was spot on and we were able to cover more ground and spend more time on our activities rather than being stuck in traffic. During the tour, we also had great conversations and he was more than happy to share about Japan and the landmarks as we pass them by. He would also give us suggestions on what to eat/look out for at each location which has been very helpful. Couldn’t recommend enough and if i do come to Tokyo again will be more than happy to engage his service for other tours!

Sohail was a great driver and gave us great information. Assisted us with photos and locations. Took us to a good mix of tourist spots and more local areas. Had plenty of time to walk around. Much better than bus tours that cater to large groups vs individual.

My family really enjoyed the experience. The driver spoke perfect English and communicated with us clearly before the pickup. During the pickup his conversation was very engaging. The van is extremely comfortable. There are pre set viewing points but he makes sure to ask and check that you are comfortable and doing what you want to do.

A pleasant trip to Mt Fuji

My group had a very pleasant trip to see Mt Fuji and its surroundings. We were so glad to have a personal guide in Haseeb, who was very friendly and knowledgeable. Some of the places were overcrowded as expected with all the tourists these days, but we did go to a spot that was not accessible by bus and was the highlight of our trip. I would highly recommend this tour over taking a bus, which I understand is very uncomfortable.
