Take this tour! Mike was an exceptional and experienced guide that gave us a magical day seeing the views of Mt. Fuji and some of the beauty that is not far outside of Tokyo. This was absolutely not a tour. It was a ride to different places. We were given one fact during the tour. Please know our driver was very kind, spoke very broken English, and was safe but there was no information given to call this a tour.

Going to Fujikawagushiko is a great way of seeing Mount Fuji from various and beautiful angles, I really enjoyed the experience. Besides, having a private tour gave me freedom to decide what to do, and Yasir was great in advising me about the possible options

It's okay. I thought the tour was for 10 hours, but we only enjoyed 9 hours. We felt rushed visiting sites.

Mike was a wonderful guide. The country side was so green. Seeing some of the shrines and getting close to Mount Fugi was a memorable experience. We visited amazing flower gardens and really enjoyed hearing the history of each place

As with most Viator tours, there is well designed itinerary for the day trip. The Mt Fuji area offers many magnificent sights to visit which can easily fill more than a day. As with most private Day Trips we have taken, the tour is also customizable. What made this particular trip a bit different was that our guide, Yasir, was prepared with interesting and compelling options for alternate sights along the way.
While I can easily elaborate on the amazing stoppoints from which to view and photograph Mt Fuji and other remarkable sights, I must focus somewhat on our fantastic guide, Yasir, who added significantly to the wonder and joy of the day. Having taking a multitude of tours over the years, my wife and I considered Yasir to be exceptional and special. He is, first of all, very knowledgable about the history of the areas we toured. But most of all, he was highly personable and considerate with an over and above concern for our comfort. He doesn’t miss a detail. He can be very conversational if prompted and was always ready to take our pictures in front of the magnificent vistas we visited without any prompting.
Last and not least, Yasir drives the ultimate luxury vehicle. Without doubt, it was the most comfortable car I’ve ever ridden in. It is a special model Toyota made for the Japanese market. It has two rear seats that look and feel like First Class airline seats with customizable air, lighting and full recline. The drive to Mt Fuji is several hours that went by quickly in this ultra comfortable vehicle.
All in all, it was a wonderful, fulfilling, non-rushed day that I can recommend, without hesitation, if you can get Yasir as your guide.

We had an excellent experience with Mike as our private tour guide in Tokyo. His communication before meeting up was reassuring and during the tour he seamlessly coordinated our schedule, giving us space to explore on our own and then reconnecting at the right moments. Mike was incredibly friendly and informative, giving us advice on where to sit on the pirate ship for views of the tori gate and how to best avoid waiting times and crowds. With his fluency in both languages, there was never any language barrier and he consistently enriched our time with history, cultural insights (including where we could go the following day for cherry blossom sightings) and fun facts. His bubbly personality made the day even more enjoyable. We would wholeheartedly recommend Mike to anyone wanting to visit Mt Fuji and the surrounding areas without the hassle of planning. Had a great time. Maiku was a fabulous tour guide, very friendly and knowledgeable. He made the day a lot of fun and was even able to fit in an unscheduled visit to a Sake tasting to finish the day off. Be prepared for a lot of steps at the beginning of the tour. Wear comfortable shoes and layers as we ran into cold weather, rain, and then sunshine. Highly recommend this tour for first time visitors to Japan.

We have good trip on a cloudy rainy cold day. Our driver Taimoor was good and gave us a good update on the shrines and temples we went.
A few things to keep in mind: if you are staying in Tokyo, the cab driver called and said leaving at 8am would make us very late and spend time on traffic. Hence we left at 6:30am. Weather played spoil sport with cloudy weather making view of Mount Fuji next to impossible.
The itinerary listed on Viator and the one that we covered were slightly different.
This needs a better pre-planning to ensure time and itinerary are adhered to.

Great stress free way to see Mt Fuji. I chose this trip because you can personalize it, which we did after speaking with Yasir and learning more about each location. We had a great time and learned a lot about the culture from Yasir who did a great job and picked us up in a posh ride!👍👍👍. Very comfortable experience for (4) 60 year olds! Great tour with our guide Yasir. Even though Mt. Fuji was hiding in the clouds, we still had a good time seeing and visiting many locations. The restaurant recommended for lunch by Yasir was excellent too. We were impressed by the vehicle too. We would recommend this tour.

Mike was truly an outstanding guide. He kept a close eye on the weather and adapted the tour perfectly so we could make the most of every moment. He was friendly, helpful, and incredibly easy to talk to.
One of the things that made the experience even better is that Mike speaks both English and Japanese. This made ordering food and communicating in places where English wasn’t understood so much easier.
He knows all the best spots - from beautiful viewpoints to hidden gems - and he makes sure you experience them comfortably. His car has very comfortable seats, great air conditioning, and his driving style is calm and pleasant, which makes the whole trip even more enjoyable.

We had the most wonderful day. Our tour guide Yasir was of great value. He knew all the great spots and saved us time with his local knowledge. We packed a lot into one day and saw all the great parts of Mt Fuji we wanted to and Yasir showed us other parts of the area we weren't expecting.
