Great stress free way to see Mt Fuji. I chose this trip because you can personalize it, which we did after speaking with Yasir and learning more about each location. We had a great time and learned a lot about the culture from Yasir who did a great job and picked us up in a posh ride!👍👍👍. Very comfortable experience for (4) 60 year olds! Great tour with our guide Yasir. Even though Mt. Fuji was hiding in the clouds, we still had a good time seeing and visiting many locations. The restaurant recommended for lunch by Yasir was excellent too. We were impressed by the vehicle too. We would recommend this tour.

We had an excellent experience on our private tour to Mount Fuji. Our guide and driver, Mani, was punctual, professional, and extremely efficient from the start. Mike was truly an outstanding guide. He kept a close eye on the weather and adapted the tour perfectly so we could make the most of every moment. He was friendly, helpful, and incredibly easy to talk to.
One of the things that made the experience even better is that Mike speaks both English and Japanese. This made ordering food and communicating in places where English wasn’t understood so much easier.
He knows all the best spots - from beautiful viewpoints to hidden gems - and he makes sure you experience them comfortably. His car has very comfortable seats, great air conditioning, and his driving style is calm and pleasant, which makes the whole trip even more enjoyable.

I cannot recommend Mike enough!!! This was the high light of our time in Japan! Mike was so knowledgeable, patient, easy going and capable! We had the most wonderful day. Our tour guide Yasir was of great value. He knew all the great spots and saved us time with his local knowledge. We packed a lot into one day and saw all the great parts of Mt Fuji we wanted to and Yasir showed us other parts of the area we weren't expecting. Mike was our driver/guide for the day trip to Mt Fuji. Even though the weather was uncooperative, the whole trip was a success. His itinerary suggestions were excellent. Excellent English vocabulary and knowledge of the visited attractions, helpful tips on Japanese customs, and good general conversation. We didn’t have a boring moment. We definitely highly recommend him as the top guide choice.

Excellent trip. We were able to see Mt Fuji from the fifth station, went to a traditional village, and visited Lakes Saiko and Kowaguchiko. The clouds covered Fuji at the lakes, but happy we got to see Mt Fuji. Thanks to our driver Fahad for getting us there and back!

It was a horrible experience. I thought this was a trip that I could plan out for the most part. Well I never received a message or call. Turns out he was messaging me on WhatsApp the entire time and I didn’t know- no one ever mentioned that, nor did it have that on the page. You’d think if I didn’t return a WhatsApp message that someone would call my phone at least once to tell me to check WhatsApp. I didn’t get a call until our pickup time at 8AM and the guy was a little rude for being us being 5 minutes late. There was no tour during the drive. There was really no explanation of anything, he just told us what we were doing and dropped us off. I thought for $500 I was paying to take us where I wanted to go. Just make sure you have WhatsApp downloaded and tell them exactly what you want. Wish we didn’t waste our money.

Mike was amazing! He was informative, funny and very accommodating. We had Mike pick us up in Tokyo and drop us off in Hakone. This was huge for us and gave us almost a 1/2 day extra for exploring rather than commuting. He had great thoughts on sights and we adjusted real time to maximize the adventure. Don’t miss the ice cream near the lake!

Awesome day trip from Toyoko to Mt Fuji and the surrounding area! Our driver, Yasir,was great! He contacted us the night before to discuss our itinerary. Communication was great throughout our adventure. We were picked up at our hotel right on time! The vehicle is beautiful and extremely comfortable! He knew all the best spots for scenic views and pictures! He even took all the pictures of us so we could be in them together with his own camera and at the end of our trip sent them to us!! Great customer service and a very positive attitude! Highly recommend!

It was really great to see Mount Fuji in all it’s glory. Talal, our tourguide, made it even more special by showing us around and pointing out details we would have never known. Exactly that made it a day we’ll never forget!

Good overall. Mt Fuji is not visible in June no matter where you go. Many of the places we went were intended to provide good views of Mt Fuji, but there was a very tiny chance of that actually happening. Also, you can only go up Mt Fuji in July and August, so this isn't really a Mt Fuji tour. Some great sites though. Driver was not Japanese, nice enough though, didn't give a tour, just told us where we were going then dropped us off to explore on our own. felt like we went around in circles quite a bit, charged 2 extra hours. Your mileage may vary. Felt pressured to leave a good review.

Amazing day at Fuji and surrounding areas. Our driver (Mike) gave us a first class experience. As well as the Fuji viewing he took us to the open air sculpture museum (Picasso) which was an incredible experience

This was one of the best tours we’ve been on. Mike picked us up in front of the place we are staying, explained the proposed itinerary for the all-day tour and asked us if we wanted to make any changes. We got to see Mt Fuji from several different locations, visit a couple shrines, ride a cable car over a volcano caldera and cruise on a pirate ship to see the red torii. Mike was the perfect guide on the perfect tour. He is very knowledgeable and provides as much or as little information about the sites as you desire. He never rushed us while keeping us informed about the approaching weather system. His timing and suggestions allowed us to experience all the things we wanted to see and then he dropped us off at our preferred location at the end of the day.
In our travels, we have found that many tour guides go through the motions to “tick the boxes” of the basic schedule and then rush you through the second half of the tour; sometimes suggesting that you skip something so they can get off work and go home early. Mike did none of these things. He worked hard to make sure our experience would be a memorable one.
We had originally considered visiting Mt. Fuji and Hakone on our own, but the holiday prevented us from making train reservations. We are so glad that happened. There is no way we could've seen all we did as stress-free as we did without someone with the local planning knowledge Mike has. I recommend Mike and ABC Tours (his company) wholeheartedly to everyone wanting to see Mt Fuji. It was a great day for us. Thanks Mike!

We recently took a private day tour to Mount Fuji and the surrounding area. While we enjoyed our day, I have to mention that this tour felt more like having a private driver than a guided experience. If you're looking for in-depth information about Japan's history and culture, this might not be the best choice, as the guide's knowledge was somewhat limited. Additionally, be prepared for significant traffic; it took us about two hours to reach the area from Tokyo and around two and a half hours to return. Despite these drawbacks, we had a good day overall, and the driver was friendly and accommodating. Just manage your expectations regarding the tour structure and content.

Cannot say enough great things about Mike. He is so kind and compassionate...I found this out when I realized in Hakone that I left my passport in the hotel room in Tokyo (and was not returning to Tokyo). He helped to call the hotel and work out a plan. He was incredibly flexible and accommodating, dropped us off at the Mt. Fuji hotel, drove me back to the Tokyo hotel, and then drove me all the way across town to Tokyo Station, helped me buy a ticket on the Shinkansen before letting me go. A guardian angel for sure. You are in good hands with Mike!
