We had a wonderful tour around Mt Fuji and Hakone and everything was very smooth and easy. I contacted this company ahead of time to see if they could accommodate me and my needs and it turned out perfectly. Taimoor was absolutely incredible and gave us great recommendations during our trip. Definitely use this company for your time in Japan.

The advantage of this tour is that we can based on our own preferance to tailor the routes. We so glad booked this trip. With one day we explored the most sites we like to see.

Abdul was very pleasant to travel with. He was very accommodating to our personal requests and helped so much with our toddler. He had a baby seat ready and even stayed in the car with him while he was napping so we could see the sights of Mt Fuji. He was knowledgeable about the area and helped us to understand the culture and shrines better!

Rab was, without a doubt, the best tour guide we've ever had. He was incredibly flexible and curated an itinerary that perfectly matched what we were looking for. The view of Mount Fuji was absolutely breathtaking—something we’ll never forget. Rab also took us to a fantastic lunch spot where we got to enjoy a delicious traditional Japanese meal, all without the crowds. The highlight of the day was the peaceful and scenic boat ride, which truly made the experience unforgettable. Thank you, Rab, for such an amazing day and lifelong memories. We had a great day with our personalized tour of Mt Fuji and surrounds. Our itinerary was flexible and met the needs of our party of six including three children. We loved exploring the beautiful areas around Mt Fuji and learning about the area.

Our tour guide, Abrar, was excellent. His conversational English was fantastic and he was more than happy to accommodate our requests, we started the tour, not completely sure what to do but he explained our options and offered his advice. Even when our visit to the Mt Fuji shrine took longer than expected, this was no problem. A genuinely good tour guide and a great tour.

Overall trip was very good.
Guide/Driver Ali was friendly, knowledgeable, drove the car well and also helped us find a restaurant that fit our needs. Sora tours, which provided the service was also responsive.
Two of the places mentioned on the Viator website was not covered. I tried to bring up this with the guide during the trip couple of times and also Sora Travels. They just evaded the question and I gave up.
I strongly suggest that Viator should only list on their website only the places they plan to cover.

The Hakone tram ride and the area were very nice. Unfortunately, the weather did not allow us to see Mt. Fuji or permit us to ride the speed boat.

I would highly recommend this tour and tour company. In the space of a day we saw a huge number of sights around Hakone and the Fujiyama 5 Lakes District. These were my families highlights:
The Owakudani Ropeway and sulfur mine was fascinating, the area is also very pretty.
The Oshino Hakkai Springs and village (including traditional houses with thatching that people still live in) make for great photos of Mt Fuji and were nice to wander around.
The Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine is the first shrine my children told me was 'interesting' and not boring! It is very imposing, set in the middle of a forrest and has 1,000y old trees and a range of shrines onsite.
The jet boat trip on Lake Kawaguchiko was alot of fun, the boat driver keep spinning us around and hitting all the waves from the other boats. The lake is very pretty and the view of Mt Fuji was spectacular.
It was also interesting seeing Mt Fuji from so many different locations throughout the day.

Mike was a gem!! So interesting, and involved. Explained the tour and what we needed to do extremely well - speaks perfect English! He was intuitive and keen to show us things that he thought we would be interested in, and not just the stock standard itinerary. He was a perfect guide and we couldn’t be more delighted with our day. Thoroughly impressed and would recommend this tour especially with “non-smoking” Mike. You will not be disappointed. The village and the garden “Oishi” were the highlights, he even took us to a restaurant where we enjoyed traditionally made soba noodles. If you have limited time in Japan, do this tour. We saw all the highlights on a very crowded day, with none of the hassle. Most excellent day and one of the best tours I have done in all of my travels.

This is my 3rd visit to Japan and to Mt Fuji area. There were a lot of good things about this tour, starting with getting picked up from our Tokyo Bay hotel (instead of needing to travel to the set hotels in/around Central Tokyo) and later getting dropped off where we requested. The English-speaking tour guide was great, took photos of us, provided information about the sights but also gave us time to ourselves. He also gave us the option to begin the tour earlier to avoid the rush hour so our time was spent on the tour instead of the city traffic. Despite that, we did not get to all the listed places on the tour. I would still recommend this tour: take a screenshot of the listed itinerary to help keep track of the places. The view of the snow-capped Mt Fuji from Lake Kawaguchiko is beautiful since we were there mid-March 2024; but maybe book this tour 1-2 weeks later to see the flowers in Oishi Park in full bloom, and also for the sakura which was only starting to bud at that time. The 398 stone steps to the top to see the Chureito Pagoda was well worth it. This tour in a comfortable private car took us to places that would be hard to reach via public transportation (which I did in 2023), and via the big bus tour (did in 2019). I would do this tour/company again.

Our tour guide Abrar was great! He made our tour memorable and comfortable. He recommended a couple places and snacks that we did not have on our itinerary; and they were a couple of the more memorable things added to our trip. The ice cream being one of them, never tasted ice cream so good! Another nice thing was Abrar offered to take photos of us and knew when to give us personal space after showing us the ropes at each site. If on the fence about which tour to choose I would definitely recommend this one.
