This was an amazing experience and I highly recommend it for anyone! We were invited into the beautiful home kitchen of Momoji where we learned to make pork katsu, curry, and daifuku (strawberry mochi dessert). Not only was it one of the best meals we had on our trip it was probably the best experience we had since we had a part in making it!

It was a truly amazing experience. This was a private cooking experience with the host in her own home. Food was delicious, conversation interesting and all round must do if you are Japan. Just loved it!!

If you’re reading these reviews because you’re on the fence about this class, book it!! You’ll be glad you did!
Mori is a wonderful teacher and host - I highly recommend this experience!
I chose the tofu class with sweets, and we made a wide variety of delicious dishes - it was even more recipes than I was expecting, which was exciting!
During the class, Mori taught me various valuable tricks and techniques that I would not have known otherwise. Mori’s directions are easy to follow and all the recipes are included in a packet to take home.
After taking the class, I feel fully confident that I will be able to make these recipes at home! The recipes are not overly complicated or time-consuming, but the flavors are delicious. I can even use them for easy weeknight meals and lunches.
After making our meal, we ate together. Mori taught me a few Japanese words and phrases, including a special phrase that is said before eating a meal in Japan: Itadakimasu - an expression of gratitude for the food and respect for the efforts involved in preparing it. I also learned about some of the cookware, ingredients, and utensils commonly used in Japanese cooking. I really appreciated learning these tidbits about Japanese customs and lifestyle. (Note: the recipes in class can be reproduced without buying any special cookware!)
All in all, this was a wonderful experience. Arigato gozaimasu, Mori!

A very fun and culturally enriching experience. Morimi was incredibly kind, attentive and always willing to share her knowledge with a smile. It was certainly an experience that we will remember very fondly and that we recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy an authentic and pleasant immersion. We hope to see you soon in Spain!
