Chef Michiko-san is very professional, friendly, informative and knowledgeable. I was completely impressed with her professionalism, knowledge and high skills. She is incredibly kind and friendly, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. She explained everything with so much knowledge and clarity, making it easy to follow each step.
She started the class with a fantastic presentation! The Presentation had very valuable information and I genuinely learned a lot. The information presented was new to me and incredibly useful.
We made different kinds of mochi and all were delicious. My favourites were the Strawberry Daifuku with White Bean Paste and Mitarashi Dango. You will also get a PDF with Mochi Recipes that you get to keep to try again at home.
The cooking itself was awesome but it’s chef Michiko-San that really made it special. I left feeling very happy and will not forget this wonderful experience.
It’s simply a wonderful cooking class.

This was such a good class- very beginner friendly but hands in so I walked away feeling like I can make these at home.

What an excellent experience. Yukka was so kind and friendly. Her directions to find the class were very helpful. We learned a bit about mochi history as well as when mochi is traditionally eaten. We watched her make the mochi and then prepared three kinds ourselves. She prepared savory mochi for us. We also tried warabi-mochi with brown sugar syrup. Everything was excellent. 10/10 excellent experience.

We learned so much about mochi and had fun making it with a very small group of 4 students. It was a great way to spend time with my 10-year-old. At the end you are served tea along with the mochi you made. It will likely be more than you can eat. Owa is a wonderful instructor!

Tucked in a nondescript apartment building, a delightful culinary experience awaits! Waka, our cheerful instructor, taught our family how to make 3 different kinds of mochi treats. Her assistant, whose name escapes me, was very kind. She helped my youngest daughter with some of the trickier mixing steps. We learned a lot about the history and tradition of mochi in the Japanese culture as well!

The mochi making class was so interesting and fun! And DELISH! Walka’s class was part educational and part cooking, we learned about the history of mochi and created four types of mochi. My entire family - spanning grandma, husband, and my teen - enjoyed the class so much!!

This was such a fun experience and we learned a lot! The teachers were so kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure everyone genuinely had a great experience. The mochi is absolutely delicious! We learned about new ways to eat the mochi and the cultural importance of mochi- it was so cool! I would definitely recommend this to everyone. They also offer seasonal classes which focus on the fruits and holidays of the season. We went during strawberry season, it was excellent!

Who would have thought making tasty and photogenic mochi would have been so much fun? We made several different kinds of wonderful mochi, from the dango to the strawberries. Our hosts were knowledgeable around the how and why along with being patient as we made a mess of their kitchen. Bonus? We got to eat it all when we were done!

Highly recommend this mochi-making class - accessible location, small group, fantastic teacher and we made so much mochi. It was delicious! I am not a strong cook, but it was very easy to follow along.

Such a fun experience! The class is very cozy-total of 8. The class was very informative with slides in the beginning with the history of mochi. Then making all different types of mochi. The assistants were very helpful & kept cleaning up after us to keep our workstations tidy. We were able to take pictures & then eat our creations. Also gave us containers to take home if we couldn't finish them.

My mom and I had so much fun making mochi treats at this class! The instructors were kind and outgoing and gave us all the tools we needed while giving expert instruction. The class moved at a nice pace, and we had many tasty treats to eat by the end! Definitely recommend if you like mochi and want to do a fun activity indoors!

The mochi making class was a wonderful and intimate experience learning the art and history of Mochi. Very informative and fun! Also delicious. Never knew there was a savory form of mochi, which we got to try! Our group had a wonderful time and would recommend anyone looking for a fun time to check it out! The instructors also speak very good English, since none of us speak Japanese and found it very easy to communicate.
