Simply delicious and lots of laughter with our teacher!

Christine_F, Jul 2023
We booked the cooking experience as a family activity with our two teenage daughters. Everybody loved it! Satoru teaches with lots of patience and gives you background information about the ingredients - and he gets teenagers to cook! Just simply brilliant. The fresh ingredients used are seasonal, so expect to cook a different menu depending on the time of year. Satoru speaks perfect English and has a great sense of humour. We had lots of laughs with him. His home-made miso paste (old family recipe) is divine!

An absolute highlight of our trip!!

I did not know what to expect with...

I did not know what to expect with this class as it was the first time going to someone's house I hadn't met in person to cook food but it was a blast! Sato-san was a very funny, welcoming, and courteous host with great explanations of the food we cooked and directions on how to make it. Sato-san went out of his way the few days before our scheduled tour to contact us about meeting soon and where to meet which I really appreciated. His background history on his grandfather's recipe for miso soup was quite interesting and the soup flavor was very delicious. I definitely recommend taking his class, you will not be disappointed! I hope to take another cooking class soon!
