Our guide James was great, he made it so fun and comfortable for my wife who had never rafted before. Wonderful first rafting experience for her! The course was fun, had plenty of rapids to keep us busy and entertained but never felt unsafe for it being her first time. We believe we lucked out by probably picking the best company and guide on the river. We are already talking about planning an overnight trip for me and my boys in the future and will be requesting James if available but feel like all of their guides are probably great. I would recommend this trip and this guide service to anyone who has rafted before or anyone who wants to give it a try but is unsure about where to begin. If nothing else, it will be worth your time to take in the scenery from a totally different perspective and to learn so much about the river, the landscape and the art of rafting from James! Can't wait for my next trip!

Great day on the water! The guy was fantastic and made sure that everybody was comfortable and enjoyed the trip. Disappointed that I never received a link to buy pictures and no one returned the communication when I tried to call about getting them.

This was great. Ive been on a few rafting trips in CA before and was very impressed with their whole operation. Great price. Great guides. Jane was so cool. More rapids than I thought, and was a lot longer than I was expecting. I took 3 first-timers and they had a blast!
Can't wait to go back!

Loved rafting with Garrett and Far Flung! They were very professional and even provided wetsuits, splash jackets and neoprene booties given the water hadn’t warmed up yet (of course they also provided PFD’s and helmets as well). We had a blast but felt totally safe!

We all had an amazing time. Garrett was our white water rafting guide. He was very knowledgeable in the history of the Rio Grande as well as being an experience water guide. We all felt very safe in the boat with him.
Definitely recommend this two hour trip.
We had a six year old with us and she laughed all the way.

Great experience for our family of 3! My daughter is 9 years old and it was her first time doing a river rafting trip. This was the perfect intro for her. Our family went out with a mother and her son, so it was 5 guests total plus our guide Billy. Billy was awesome - very patient with my daughter and he had a wealth of knowledge about rafting and various outdoor activities. He gave my daughter ample opportunity to safely hop out of the boat and swim for a bit which made the experience all the more enjoyable for us.
I highly recommend the team at Far Flung. Billy, Garrett, Sid and the rest of the crew kept it both fun and safe for everyone. Looking forward to doing a more challenging race course with them in the future!

Garret was absolutely amazing! We were a bit nervous about rafting in the rain, but he put us at ease and made us feel comfortable. It actually turned out to be a really beautiful trip with the misty mountains and river swallows going crazy. My too adult sons could have definitely handled more intense rapids, but it being my 12 year old’s first rafting trip, this was perfect. My only regret was that I left my phone behind, so I didn’t get enough pictures on the river. Maybe next time.

Course was not that challenging at all otherwise we had fun. Meeting location was easy to find. Recommendations on attire should be given to participants ahead of time.

David was our river guide and did an absolutely outstanding job. All of the staff where great, communication was really good and we had a blast. We had 3 people in my group that had never done this before and they are already talking about when are we going to do this again. The course was a lot of fun, exciting however not too scary for newbies. I would strongly recommend Far Flung to anyone in the Santa Fe/Taos area for a great adventure.
