My friend and I arrived about 20 minutes late due to a transportation issue coming back from another city. The Viator page didn’t have direct contact info, so it was hard to reach the host with spotty international service. We were really grateful that Simone still welcomed us and that it ended up being just the two of us, which made it feel like a private class. We got some water and delicious Sicilian wine to start and jumped right in. The beginning felt a little rushed, and the pasta dough instructions could’ve been more detailed or hands-on, but once we started shaping the pasta it got much more fun and engaging. Watching Simone make the sauces was interesting, and everything turned out so delicious — especially the beautifully plated dishes and her homemade limoncello (the best we had in Italy!). Overall, we learned a lot and had a great time. With easier communication beforehand and a bit more warmth and depth in the lesson, this would’ve been a perfect five-star experience.
