We went in the end of March. Dress warm. There is still snow on mt Etna. The whose experience was great. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable.

This was a once in a lifetime experience. We were inside the volcano lava flow and also at the summit in the same day. Our guide was knowledgeable and amazingly friendly.

Daphne was a great guide. She was full of great stories and information about Etna that you would not get if you went by yourself. Really appreciated that she switched between Italian and English to make sure everyone had the same info. Highly recommend it.

We did not go to the top (what was not agreed anyway) however due to the weather condition we could see only one crater as we got stuck in the snow. Nonetheless the tour guide is very nice and competent and looked for alternative solution.

The tour was exactly as promised. The view of the lava field, the lava cave and the walk up to the little crater. It was all very interesting and our guide was excellent.

This was a great experience. The tour guide picked us up from our hotel and was very knowledgeable. She shared so much interesting information about Mount Etna and Catania and even showed us videos from past eruptions. She also got us some local wine to taste, which was a nice surprise. The group was very fun and international. Mount Etna is breathtaking and incredibly beautiful. Highly recommended!

It was ok, but for my taste the guide was too busy trying to be funny and repeating the same jokes over and over again (for 5 hours!), instead letting us know in a normal tone what's going to happen next. it gets exhausting trying to listen and extract the actual information from what he said. in my opinion he should be more attentive and "read the room" to see what people are interested in, instead of giving us his standard show.
content wise: you get driven to a viewpoint to see a big lava flow from a few years ago (10 minute stop, no need to bring the backpack), then a lava cave (45? min stop, no need to bring anything because helmet and torch are supplied), then you'll reach the tourist village on top (short lunch break for toilet and to eat your picknick, but plenty of food to buy there), then a 1.5 hours hike up to different craters and cold lava flows (actually also no need to bring your bag, if you can last 1.5 hours without water).
all in all the program is probably pretty standard and was interesting, so I would recommend, the enjoyment probably depends on your taste and which guide you end up with

If he allowed himself a bit of humor, it was likely intended to lighten the atmosphere during a six-hour tour and explanations, which might otherwise have felt tedious.
Iorga is also a very accommodating person, and had his manner of speaking bothered you, it would have been sufficient to let him know.

This is a great introduction to Mt Etna but if you want more time exploring and hiking, choose a different tour.
Our guide was excellent and really good at explaining the geology and the history of Mt Etna.
I was hoping for a good two hours of crater walking but we barely had an hour.

First of all, the scenery was amazing and Leonardo was very friendly. But we were disappointed with the amount of information provided. We signed up for an English tour but ended up with one italian woman with her daughter that occupied the vast majority of the time. Also, we assumed we would see the active volcano but we did not.

However, we would like to point out that the presence of other participants during the experience was entirely to be expected, as the tour you booked was a group tour.
All participants are welcome to ask questions, and your guide, Leonardo, who accompanied you on the excursion, is bilingual and extremely knowledgeable and passionate.
He would have been happy to dedicate the same amount of time and provide equally detailed answers to you as well, if had you chosen to ask any questions.
Furthermore, while Mount Etna is certainly one of the most active volcanoes in the world, its activity is unpredictable and obviously not something that depends on us.
We make no such promises, as witnessing volcanic activity is purely a matter of luck and not something we can organize or guarantee.

Leonardo was great!! The cave tour was really cool!! Wish we did more hiking while at Etna. There was a higher “summit” that most people were doing that looked like a lot more fun than the small loop we ended up doing. Perhaps skipping the lava flow at the winery would have provided more time to hike. Lunch at the location was very delicious and seller enjoyed the special treat at the end.

The experience was truly fantastic! We were picked up on time with a comfortable minibus and taken to Mount Etna for an unforgettable tour. The guides were exceptionally kind, cheerful, and full of positive energy. They had a great sense of humor and explained the history and geology of Etna in a very engaging and easy-to-understand way.
They also provided all the necessary safety equipment and always made sure that everyone felt safe and comfortable throughout the tour. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed from start to finish, making the whole experience both fun and educational.
We really enjoyed every moment and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Catania or Sicily!

While the views were amazing, the experience was less than satisfactory. The driver, while pleasant, drove a dirty van that we couldn’t see out the windows. And his driving was too aggressive, he tailed drivers too closely and unnecessarily passed vehicles on the tight windy roads leading up to Mt. Etna.

There is a lot of time spent driving in the vehicle. The times when we exited to see and climb the volcano were awesome. Our guide, Leonardo, was very knowledgeable and answered our many questions, which made the experience very enjoyable. In addition, the lava cave was a unique journey that demonstrated the power of this natural phenomenon. Book the trip! It’s worth it.
