We had an absolutely wonderful experience exploring Mount Etna and the lava caves. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate, making the entire experience extremely enjoyable.
She shared an abundance of information about Etna’s volcanic history, geology, and the surrounding area, while also making sure we felt comfortable and safe throughout the tour. Visiting the lava caves was a real highlight—such a unique and unforgettable experience. I only hit made head once…thankfully we were provided helmets!
Our guide’s passion, enthusiasm and expertise truly made the day special. We learned so much, took in some incredible landscapes, and had amazing experience from start to finish!

Informative and interesting tour. Prepare to do some hiking! Bring your hiking shoes, long pants, and windbreaker. It was windy and cool. Blowing ashes in your face. Wearing sunglasses and balaclava would help. Cool climbing in the lava cave. Being up on Mt Etna was a nice refreshing break from the heat wave in August.

An enjoyable tour with a very pleasant guide who was very knowledgeable and passionate about Etna. Overall, the tour is suitable for everyone. The hike is steep just in the first 4-5 mins. The pace is leisurely with lots of breaks. We enjoyed the lava cave and the view from the final stop was spectacular!

Absolutely wonderful! Mauricio met us at the designated location 15 minutes early, he was a friendly and knowledgeable guide taking us to many locations on Mount Etna. Would recommend!

The guide for Mt Etna was very passionate about archaeology and the history of volcanoes. We had a great time exploring the site and the caves. The tour guide was extremely cautious, knowledgeable and helpful.

Our guide, Danilo, made this experience so special! He was friendly, humorous, and highly knowledgeable about Etna and also Sicily in general. It was immediately clear that he was a great guide to have for this excursion. We felt safe on the walking portion of of Etna, inside the cave, and in the vehicle. Danilo shared photos and videos with us to enhance the experience. He spoke about the historical side and scientific side of Etna in ways that were engaging and easy to understand. We learned so much and this was truly a highlight of our trip to Catania!

We had the best time doing this tour of mt etna! I went back and forth on if I should cancel it because we have 4 kids 8 and under and I am so glad I didn’t cancel!! We HAD the BEST time and our tour guide (Daniello). He could not have been more knowledgeable, caring and kind. He went above and beyond and it truly made our experience what it was. We saw amazing things and learned so much. Thank you!

What a trip! Just 8 of us with the guide and you walk off the main track so your not crowded by other tours. Tour guide was so friendly, super knowledgeable and made sure we had fun, were looked after and really made every moment count. Definitely book this!

Incredible experience. Daphne was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable and engaging. Our daughter teaches about volcanoes, and Daphne had many insights that will make her lessons on Mt Etna very special for her students. If you are booking it as an excursion from a cruise ship, the meeting place is about a 10-15 minute walk from the cruise port.

From pickup to dropoff, Leonardo was amazing! He is very knowledgeable bout Etna and is a patient guide who helped us along this trip. Please wear shoes that have traction because you will need it! Everything about this tour was positive and we would highly recommend it!

Excellent excellent excellent! Two things , though you should know it's a little more strenuous than depicted , and the van we were in rides pretty rough (like how about getting some new shock absorbers)! Guide was exceptional! Experience was awesome and well worth it.

We had a wonderful morning with Luca driving around looking at beautiful Etna and it’s craters via the small surrounding Villages. We also went into a Lava Tunnel which was a very surreal experience. The landscape was surprising full of flora and fauna - and Luca has some really interesting information throughout. We were also blessed with fantastic weather so got to see lots! Highly recommend! 😊

This excursion was excellent! The tour is beautiful, featuring an easy walk around secondary craters and a 200-meter visit inside a lava cave. Gabrielle is an outstanding guide: friendly, attentive, and highly knowledgeable, providing plenty of interesting and valuable information throughout the experience.

Enjoyed the van ride up to the mountain and the short hike (about 1 km). Views were wonderful. Our guide, Amelia, was quite knowledgeable and engaging! One of best tours we have taken on our trip to Sicily!!
