We meet you at the Alcantara Vineyards where you can park in designated Water to Wine parking, change into clothes if you need to in the outdoors changing rooms and meet your guide and shuttle driver who will take you and the other guest upstream about 15 minutes where your boats will be and your river adventure begins.

Itinerary
Start your kayaking and vineyard combination tour at Alcantara Vineyards, where you can park and get ready in the on-site changing rooms. Conveniently, a shuttle takes you upstream to begin your kayaking journey on the Verde River. No need to worry about rushing to keep up with a group, as the experience is self-guided, with a route planned out for you.
The kayaking segments conclude under Cottonwood trees at the Oak Creek and Verde River confluence. Then, you can walk up the vineyard path to Alcantara Vineyard's Tuscan farmhouse to meet a sommelier. During your time at the winery, you can take advantage of the USD$20 credit included in your tour for guided tastings, food, or souvenirs before your experience ends.

It took some patience to get the hang of kayaking. The view was amazing. It's such a beautiful place to tour. First time in Arizona. First time kayaking . Celebrated my birthday. Everyone was nice and informative about the area and history. This experience made my birthday most memorable.

We were a little worried about the weather the day of our tour… But we ended up having a blast despite a little rain!!! Just enough easy rapids to make it fun with slower areas for relaxing!! Highly recommend this tour!!!

The river is gorgeous and tranquil. We did it in May and it was easily to navigate. The challenging part were more fun than hard.
They gave us water guns and that added to the family experience.
Would do it again.
Something to note: we have done a lot of kayak tours and they always have a guide.
This one is self guided. They do a good job of explaining the area.

My wife and I booked this kayaking trip because it holds special significance for us. However, we were surprised to learn that the $350 fee only included an hour and a half on the water, along with a $20 voucher per person at the winery. While this is described in the info, a $20 voucher does not get you very much at the winery. The winery also does not have a very big selection to choose from. Not the experience we were expecting. However, our driver was amazing and did a great job at explaining things!

A guide did not travel down the river with us. The back rest of my husband's kayak deflated. It was a slow and miserable trip. We were first time kayakers and were told we would not have any problems. I would not recommend this trip for newbies.

This self guided paddle through some short fast rapids was perfect. You can go fast or slow, up to you. We had a bonus sighting of a bald eagle❣️ Being from California, near wine country, the Alcantara wines were very surprisingly good. A great experience overall.

Matthew our guide was entertaining, gave us lots of advice and was clear on safety. The kayaking was just enough challenge to keep us on our toes, enough small rapids for some funand enough floating to take in the scenery! Saw some wonderful wildlife as well! Great way to kick off my wife's birthday weekend!
The winery afterwards was fantastic, wonderful wines and delicious pizza! We will definitely do this again! But won't forget to bring bug spray for some mosquitoes during the kayak.

We loved the experience and everyone was super friendly and we loved Ben’s sense of humor!! The only negative we would pull is we feel the price point was a bit high for only 1 hour in the river. It would have been nice to have more time on the river! Otherwise we loved it!!

And yeah, totally fair point about the price vs. time on the river. When you're having a blast, an hour can feel way too short. Maybe next time try our Inflatable Kayak Adventure, longer float and no Vineyard is a wee bit easier on your pocketbook.

This excursion was so great ! We had such a fun time. There was a good amount of claim water and little rapids. We had lots of laughs and fun. The winery was really nice and such a comfortable and cozy vibe !
We loved Ben and his awesome, fun and witty personality. He was very informative and we could tell he LOVES his job.

This water to wine kayak trip was so much fun! Ben started us off and his sense of humor was awesome! He also gave us great tips on how to navigate the river and use our paddles. Once we were on the river it was really fun going through the little rapids and some of the slower areas were just beautiful and peaceful. The wine at the end was also delicious! I highly recommend this experience.

What a great concept! Your float begins and ends at the winery! You are shuttled up river and kayak or float your way back to the winery….it was a hot day the day I went and the coolness of the river was perfect……after I arrived back, it was a quick change before I was able to enjoy some wine….the ladies behind the bar were knowledgeable and friendly….live music in the back patio was perfect!

It has been unseasonably warm and we have wanted to make this trip for awhile. It was great to get out on the beautiful, peaceful, lazy river and get relief from the heat. Our guide Ben gave us great directions and information we well used. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Unwinding at the winery afterwards was great. Enjoyed our lunch and wine tasting🥂

Our kayak tour guides were excellent at educating us and preparing us for our journey. Great experience for those who want a medium level workout but not overly challenging. The scenery was beautiful! The wine tasting experience that followed was fun with live music, good wine, and food. Thanks to all who made this experience possible. My friend and I had a blast!

Our kayaking adventure was soooo much fun! Both John and Emily were helpful and informative and fun. Emily gave us interesting info about the vineyards on the way to the launch site, and then got us up to speed with the "how-to's" of kayaking. I, my daughter, and my sis-in-law all had experience kayaking, tho very little...but I suspect having previous kayaking experience and a level of comfort controlling a craft on the water probably impacts the amount of enjoyment one has. For me, it was so much fun to kayak on the river rather than on a lake...it's a bit harder (that's what made it better!), but I would absolutely do it again! It didn't register to me when I signed us up that we would not be accompanied by a guide, but we felt safe and secure at all times. BTW, this is an awesome intergenerational activity. My sister-in-law and I are both in our 60's, and my daughter is in her mid 20's. Relaxing in the winery after our quest was a great way to wrap up the weekend. Great wines, great hummus, great pizza, and great servers! This was the last adventure of our 13-day trip to the Southwest, and I'm so glad we fit it in!!!
