Pickup details

Pick-up starts 30 minutes before the departure time. Be ready at 09:00 or 13:00, depending on your booking. The pick-up process can take up to 30 minutes. Please note that pick-ups from hotels in main-central Reykjavik are not allowed in certain areas designated as no pick-up zones by the City . As a result, you need to walk to the nearest bus stop, typically a 2-5 minute walk from your hotel. To choose the appropriate bus stop: Search bus stops in Reykjavik Search the closest to your hotel & select the one nearest. If you don't know your pickup location please send us a message and we can help you.

What To Expect

After hotel pickup in Reykjavik, travel to your buggy station just outside the city. Listen to a safety briefing, don the provided thermal coveralls, helmet, and gloves, and climb inside a comfortable 4WD buggy with your companion.

When you and your passenger are ready, fasten your safety buckles for a thrilling off-road ride.

Follow your guide around lowland trails that snake between the mountains, trundling across rocky lava fields and splashing through mud, water, and even snow.

Feel close to nature as you head along the trails, and be ready for a new challenge at every turn—there's a huge variety of terrain to conquer.

Stop for photos at a pristine lake along the way, and then make your way back to base, picking up speed as your confidence builds.

After about an hour, arrive back at the buggy station, and then finish your exciting experience with hotel drop-off in Reykjavik.

The buggy adventure was a great time! It was a rainy day and were concerned to get all wet and muddy. That was not the case as the company provides all the rain gear and coveralls to protect you from all the elements. The guide was great and lead us through all the trails and made sure my wife and 9yr old daughter were doing good and felt comfortable driving through all the terrain. We stop at the top of a large mountain bluff to take in the views of Iceland. The guide answered all our questions and we enjoyed the trip very much. Would recommend.

Fun way to finish up our Reykjavik adventure

This was a great way to see a bit of the Reykjavik "countryside" - Artur was an excellent guide, he took us on a fun route to the top of a mountain used by paragliders where we stopped to enjoy the view and take a few photos. This was the last thing we did on a short (4-day) trip to Iceland, and it was a nice way to finish up the visit before going to the airport. Artur and his colleages are friendly and very chill.

The buggy ride was exhilarating, great fun! Two in our group got stuck so we waited for them to get dug out of the snow. The weather was snowy, with wind blowing so our hands and face were quite cold. But the polar suits provided kept us cozy enough to enjoy the trip. Thomas is a fun and energetic guide!

What awesome experience! We are a family of 3 9-yr old daughter and we felt comfortable driving the buggy in snow and ice. The trail took us up one mountain outside Reykjavik and we had an awesome view! Our tour guide Indi was great and was passionate about all things Icelandic as most Icelanders are. He even gave us great recommendation for lunch which was absolutely good! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone planning to visit Reykjavik.
