This is a magical cruise operated by a wonderful and friendly host Raul. From the moment he greeted us on the dock to loading us aboard this super comfortable boat, we felt warmly welcome. Upon leaning the marina Raul told us about all the various historical landmarks we passed by as well as the history of the six bridges. After getting underway for a while and settling in, Rail passed the helm to his 1st mate the very friendly and helpful George. After this, Raul served us 5 different port wines. Very generous. Our favorite was the Lagrima. After we turned the boat around near the beautiful Eiffel bridge we headed toward the breakwater and open ocean where we all witnessed a glorious sunset. Just prior we were offered comfy blankets. This boat only accommodates 13 guests a 2 crew so you will get an extremely personalized experience. This tour is not to be missed!

We had an amazing tour with Raul and his son. It was a very personal, friendly and insightful way to learn a little more from someone who grew up in the city and has seen it grow over the decades not to mention his family before that. Much nicer to also do it on a smaller boat which was very comfortable and clean.

Such an intimate experience, I felt like I knew Anselmo for years. He was very knowledgeable about both cities. He made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend it’s a great way to explore the area via boat!

Beautiful, clean and comfortable boat, knowledgeable and kind captain, fabulous views (we even went out into the Atlantic to catch the sunset), and delicious port wine tasting. Loved the vibe of the smaller boat!

This was a relaxing beautiful boat ride up the Rio Duro under 6 bridges with a chance to taste 4 port wines, which were all delicious. Our captain and Isabelle were absolutely delightful and so knowledgeable about Porto. On the way back it was windy and they had blankets to keep us cozy on deck. It was just a wonderful 2 hour tour. We highly recommend this if you would like to see Porto from the water.

This trip was the highlight of our trip to Porto. Raul is super nice and knowledgeable and is a very experienced captain. Isabel played with our 3-year-old so we could listen to Raul tell us all about his city. Also, Raul's boat is awesome. It is a very tasteful Dutch canal boat. We couldn't recommend this experience strongly enough!

The Captain and his crew were fantastic as they toured us up and down the Duoro River giving us unique views and historical background on Porto's layers of history. We sampled various ports while enjoying the sun and company. Was a sunny, warm May day - a perfect way to spend an afternoon.

Wonderful small group sunset river cruise with a great Ship’s Captain! Captain Raul was very interesting and shared lots of history related to Porto. We tasted a variety of Port, each presented with a little background information!
Captain Raul was very experienced and handled his boat with confidence - we were in safe hands!

Even though we had some rain, our captain Raul(?) and his first mate, Maria did a fabulous job! We got to cruise all through the river & out to the Atlantic Ocean. We learned so much about Porto & its history. We had so much fun drinking Port wine and learning so much about the entire area. Would definitely recommend this sunset cruise!

Small group makes this more relaxing. The guide shared lots of interesting facts, made it enjoyable, took the best pictures/videos, and gave us all around half a dozen samples of different kinds of wines. Beautiful sunset over the open Atlantic to finish. A good variety that never felt boring and gave us more value than we expected. Worth booking!

I went to great lengths to pick up a boat that would be comfortable and worth the price for the boat tour. Rauol was a great captain. He was entertaining and informative as we slowly cruised under the six bridges of thee Douro River. Returned around to head back out to the inlet perfect timing to see the sunset and get gorgeous photos. He's also a good photographer taking care to get pictures for all the customers. We sampled four different ports that were very good also. There were blankets for when it got cold.
I will warn you that traffic is terrible that time of day and give yourself ample time to get over the bridge to the marina and time to use the restroom before getting on the boat. It was just a fabulous experience.

Nice slow relaxing cruise down the river. Beautiful boat and engaging captain. The giant tour boats are cheaper but they blaze down the river cramped with dozens of tourists. If you want something special this is your cruise.

We loved this tour!! Raul was the host and George was his helper! They both were so nice, funny and friendly! It was a small group of 8 and we enjoyed it. They lured several glasses of port which we enjoyed! We were very fortunate to have a beautiful sunset too!

We actually did not experience this excursion due to delayed international flight and missing the flight to Porto. We communicated with the Tour Guide and requested to start the tour later. It was not possible due to sunset time, but he tried to accommodate us by rebooking the next day. Unfortunately, we did not have time during our short stay but he agreed to give us a 50% discount. We appreciate him and Viator Working with us even though it was an unfortunate situation. We hope to return one day and experience this highly rated river cruise.
