Great historical tour, Lori Ann was informative, fun and patient with our large group, some who liked to wander off a bit.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you so much for your review. You guys were a great group of 10! There are always varied interests as far as picture taking, etc. which can be a challenge for maintaining a good pace for everyone. That is why I keep my groups small compared to many other tour companies. I am so glad you had a good time!

A good educational and cool experience! Definitely recommend. If you like to know about the city you're visiting rather than just going to the city, then this is for you.

Thank you for your review! It was such a pleasure to have you on the tour and chat with you along the way!

Great way to get to know about Phoenix, the area and the state, from a long time resident of the city.
Throughly enjoyed the tour and Lori Ann and her extensive knowledge and history of the area.
Would highly recommend!

The guide was friendly and enthusiastic. We ran out of time and missed the basilica and I would have rather seen that then some of the lesser
Three of the stories shared during the tour: a woman who died by suicide by jumping off a hotel roof, a woman who was raped (Miranda rights story) and a brothel “madam”.
Sandra Day O’Connor was briefly mentioned but the tour didn’t include anything commemorating her. While the storied about the victims/survivors may be part of the history of Phoenix, I think it would be wise to balance it with some other perspectives of women, besides defining them by their death, assault, or facet of their sexuality.
A lot of the tour centered on the historical buildings and more information about the architecture would have been enjoyable.

Thank you Susan for your thoughtful insights. What I include in a tour is of constant concern for me so this is helpful. While I try to strike a balance of the "Grit, Glamour and Glory" of Phoenix, it appears that unfortunately I was a bit off for you.
I will take your comments to heart.
I would like to address something that might be helpful to you and to readers. If you are ever in a tour you are not enjoying--most guides (I am including myself) actually love questions. That let's them know that you want to know more detail--or maybe you want to change direction.
I started this tour company after seeing so many groups wander through Europe with head sets on and no engagement with the tour guided. I wanted my guests to have a better experience so I called my company, Arizona iNG Tours with the idea that this is an interactive tour. I keep my tours small so that people can ask questions and I can changes things up according the interests of the group.
I also want to address the perspective of the way women were depicted. If that was the interpretation that was not intended. There are incredible women that I also mention in the tour--that if that was not emphasized appropriately I will do it here. All of these women are mentioned in our tour by the way.
1) Miranda's victim-Patricia Weir: She bravely came forward at tremendous risk to herself. She changed the world forever. She should be honored.
2) Mae Heard: She has made a tremendous impact in the preservation of Indigenous art and culture. She should be honored.
3) Unnamed young mother: (more detail in the tour) she had a tremendous impact in the make food available children and families around the world.
4) Sandra Day O'Connor: Trailblazer in law. Continued moving forward despite years of discrimination. She should be honored.
Thanks again for your insights. I hope this helps!

Hello and thank you so much for your review! Rarely do I get a less than 5-star review so this give me pause and insight into some recent changes in the route. I thought guests might enjoy some of the things I was leaving out. Because of your tepid experience I am switching back to the former route which was a consistent 5 star experience for my guests. Thanks again for your insight!

Lovely walk. Lori Ann was wonderful. Fun to hear of historical beginnings of Phoenix-architecture/ people who helped shape the city. Loved the court house tour.
