I talked my friend into taking this cooking class and she thanked me later! We booked this class with Alice and Francesco in Palermo. We arrived at their beautiful home on a rainy evening. They were both very welcoming and gave us a brief introduction to what we would be preparing. Their English was very good which was a big relief! We made fresh pasta, which turned out great and was actually a lot of fun! The sauce we made for the pasta was absolutely delicious! We also made a dessert and a wonderful fennel and orange salad. If you enjoy cooking and eating, book the class! We finished by enjoying the dinner we created with Alice and Francesco. Hands down, I would do it again!

You are welcomed into the private home of Francesco and Alice. Their kitchen and dining room are central to the experience. Their knowledge of italian cuisine is extensive and not isolated strictly to one region where they grew up. Of course, grandmother references abound, but the practical aspects of modern cooking are prevalent. You get a deep explanation of every dish prepared and the historical origins of these dishes. They also are able to converse about many other topics to make the time fly by as if it were just mere seconds in the kitchen. A visit to Palermo is not complete without diving into the culinary past and present of Sicily. A wonderful time and a great meal shared.

We had a wonderful time with our delightful hosts Alice and Francesco, in their lovely home, enjoying their cooking skills and guidance on preparing a 3 course meal. They are extremely knowledgeable about food technologies, food pairings and are very informative about Sicilian cuisine and its influences. After the cooking class we then sat and enjoyed the various courses, along with appetisers and a generous flow of a local wine. Along with another couple at the class, we had lively and enjoyable conversations with Alice and Francesco over dinner, which capped off a fabulous night.
We can highly recommend this cooking experience - they make a great team as educators and also as dinner companions!

This class was the real deal. (I’ve taken a lot of classes). This class is lead by a lovely young couple who obviously have put a lot of time into planning for the class so that it is meaningful and educational as well as fun! We learned about the local culture and food as well as the history behind it. We learned about the process they go through to make their own olive oil for the class! At the end of our shared meal, we spent time teaching each other about our gardens/growing and they gave us great ideas about how to spend our time for the rest of the trip. I would highly recommend.

Alice and Francesco provided a wonderful and informative cooking experience in their lovely Palermo apartment. My family and I enjoyed the hands-on learning and preparation of a seasonal, traditional Sicilian supper, including hand making pasta with eggplant & swordfish, Sicilian bell pepper rollatini and Cassata pie for dessert - followed by dining on their private terrace and enjoying our delicious preparations. Alice and Francesco are very knowledgeable and we highly recommend this not to be missed experience!!

Wow! This was a fantastic experience. Alice and Francesco were so welcoming to my daughter (11) and me. We had an amazing time learning how to cook some traditional Sicilian dishes. We especially loved the new pasta making skills we learned. All the food was delicious and they were very helpful in dealing with several food allergies. Their English is very good and we had no trouble understanding and following along during all the steps and cooking. I would highly recommend this experience and want to Thank Aice and Francesco for welcoming us into their home and giving us an experience to remeber!
