The tour guide did not seem like she knew a lot about the history of Palermo. Lots of long pauses. We paid to go into a church and we walked around and the tour guide did not give us any history about the church other than it was Renaissance.

The guide Milna did her best to customize the tour in accordance with our request to see and hear about the history of the Mafia and the anti-Mafia efforts. She even provided a car for the first hour of our three hour walking tour. Less than five stars because she kept walking too fast for us, and speaking while we were too far behind her to hear.

I’m not sure if this is a scam or some type of error. I went to the address on the viatour ticket 10 plaza de docum, opposite the cathedral, but there was nothing there and no one working nearby. Hoping someone from Viatour or activiyy gets back to me

Really, the only way to understand this complex and layered city and the Sicilian way of life is with a local guide. Margherita was tops. A teacher by occupation, her English was flawless, as was her knowledge of the city she calls home. Our 3-hr walking tour was the most efficient way to getting a true ferling for Palermo. We were so lucky to get her!

Pamela is very well informed and gave us a deep dive into Palermo’s history, and honestly at the end of the tour I was left wondering how she was able to tell so many stories in three hours. Would highly recommend and will be contacting them during my next trip to Palermo.

This 3 hour private walking tour was a great introduction to Palermo. Martina led us into parts of town we would have never seen. She shared lots of history and Sicilian lore with us and we had a wonderful time.
She also gave us ideas for other places to visit and eat. We highly recommend you spend three hours with this lovely lady. You won't regret it!!

Our private tour guide Andrea was excellent. He was very knowledgeable of the history & architecture. He also had a very passionate way of telling us about it. He seemed to know everyone in the neighborhoods we walked. We went thru a couple markets & tasted a Nicole (sp?) fruit that his family grows. He also took us on a little detour to taste a “yelllow wine” in the oldest taverna in the city - Taverna Azzura… so much fun!
