Our guide, Gabrielle, was so interesting and knowledgeable and led us to many of Palermo’s highlights as well as to off-the-beaten path treasure spots. We walked and walked and felt we really learned a lot about this city’s multi-layered history. It was a GREAT morning!

Manuela was a blessing, a gift for a guide as she is a Sicilian born local, highly educated, knowledgable sweet kind and intuitive young woman. This is an easy and delightful stroll through the historical center of Palermo with the lovely guide Aurora. She explained the history and culture of the area along with local folklore and a walk through the food market.

Delia is such a wonderful guide, full of knowledge and love for her home city of Palermo. She led us to so many wonderful experiences, starting at the Quattro Canti, followed by the Cathedral, and then the superb Royal Palace and Garden, including the incredible Palatine Chapel. We concluded our tour walking through Capo market, where we happily returned for lunch. A superb morning, highly recommended!

Experience Palermo with a born & bred resident of Palermo. Our guide Alessandro is very knowledgeable and passionate and is an excellent host. As he did not have an afternoon tour he extended our tour to 3+ hours and took us to a local food outlet popular with locals. Alessandro went out of his way to ensure we had a fabulous experience

When we reserved the tour we got a confirmation informing that Aurora (excellent reviews about her in the website) was going to be our guide. Later on we were informed that she wasn't available and that our guide would be Sofia. She is a 23 year old girl that is far from being a professional guide. When we chose a Private tour we expected to have in our first approach to Palermo a deeper insight than if we had chosen a group tour. Sofia mentioned very basic information. Most of the time she was walking ahead of us, looking at her phone. Several times my husband was the one who started the conversation asking about information of Palermo.
I asked her were was the Piazza del Parlamento and she said that there was no such Piazza in Palermo. I asked her about the Chiesa del Gesu and she said that I had to specify which church was that because there were many churches in Palermo!!! I show her the church in internet and she took us there. She said that we should enter by ourselves because the ticket was expensive. I offered to pay but she say that she would wait for us outside. We walked with her back to Quattro Canti and that was all. Having been there she just said that the Martorana was the church we could see behind the Fontana Pretoria. She made a recommendation for us to see on our own, Chiesa del Teatini. That was all. Far from what we expected having had other very good previous experiences with Viator in other cities. Please not repeat our experience. Palermo is worth a good guide.

Very worthwhile experience. Our guide, Alessandro, was very knowledgeable and personable showing us the 'must see' areas as well as those slightly less well publicised. He took the trouble after our experience had finished to send me a list of all the places we had visited as a reminder for reference which was much appreciated as he had taken us to so many places. He also made suggestions for other places we could visit on our own and we weren't disappointed.

Martina met us at our hotel. She was punctual and adapted the tour given our existing knowledge of Palermo. She was super knowledgeable during the tour and she answered all of our questions. Good tour of Palermo with our sweet guide named Lavinia. She highlighted the historical sites and we had a fun walk through the marketplace. Should have skipped the long walk to the Arab palace though.
