Oriana was fun and showed us a good variety of street food on the tour. Every stop we got seated easily and the food was fresh and delicious with plenty of water in the heat too. A good walk around the city too with a good insight into the local way of life. We were so full by the end of the tour!

Great introduction to Palermo

We joined Federico for the 3:00 PM street food tour in Palermo just hours after arriving in town, and it proved to be a great introduction to the city. Federico proved to be the ultimate guide, weaving together local history, cultural context, and expert recommendations for the rest of our stay. Every food stop offered an authentic taste of Sicilian life. We had read numerous reviews advising future guests to arrive on an empty stomach, and we now understand why. Federico’s warmth, enthusiasm, and deep knowledge made the afternoon feel less like a formal tour and more like exploring a neighbourhood with a knowledgeable friend. If you are visiting Palermo, booking this tour early in your trip is an absolute must. It set a wonderful tone for our entire visit, and gave us a fantastic list of historic sights and local spots to explore over the coming days. A brilliant way to spend an afternoon!

A good variety of foods to reflect the different ethic flavors of Palmero. Also our guide, Federico, provided history as we walked to the various locations. Federico was very personable and engaging throughout the experience, we were lucky to have him as our guide.

Such a fun and delicious food tour with Oriana! She was funny, energetic, and kept challenging us to try new foods, even the ones we probably wouldn’t have chosen ourselves! 😂 The funniest part? We did the tour on our last day in Palermo, and it made us realise just how many amazing foods we had missed during our stay! 🤦‍♀️ A perfect mix of great food, laughs, local culture, and new experiences. Carlo was a great guide! He took us on a walking tour through Palermo where we tried local street food such as panelle, croquet, sfinchione, arincina, and canolo, granita,& gelato. Carli seemed super passionate about food (like us) and was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area and the local shops, customs and culture. I highly recommend that you ask for Carlo as your guide!

What a delicious way to experience Palermo! Oriana was a wonderful host, very lively and fun energy. We stopped at 4 places and had several delicious bites at each. The final stop, pastries in the cloister garden, was my favorite!

Annalisa was a very good guide, born and raisedi in the city and she could tell us a lot about the history of Palermo. This was very interesting. We had 4 stops with different street food, and we walked through different streets. It was a great and informative experience.

This was our first walking tour ever and it set a high bar for others to try and beat. Gieuseppe was our guide and he is a Palermo native who loves his city. As such he was very informed of the city’s history, culture, and gastronomy. He was energetic, patient with all our questions, and is clearly a natural for this type of service! The food was delicious and I was left wondering how Do Eat Better would still profit from our experience.
