I debated for some time about doing this dinner and show, but I’m so glad we did. It was a great look into the Navajo (or Diné) culture. The outfits were beautiful and the dancing was fascinating and well done. It is a small production, but well done nonetheless. Even my 15 and 13 years old thought it was cool.
We had a wonderful time at the Navajo dinner theater. It was a little hard to find, it is tucked away near Ace Hardware in a strip shopping center. Several tour buses dropped their loads off and everybody sort of panicked because the doors weren’t open yet, but there’s really no need, they do assign seats so no matter if you’re first in the door or last, you will have your seat. The buffet is ready to go once you are in the door, it was Navajo fried bread, and a selection of toppings, not too bad. Then once the show began, it was really wonderful. A woman stood up and talked about Navajo, customs, art, beliefs, she sang a prayer, showed a demonstration of cleaning and weaving sheep’s wool. This may not sound very interesting, but I assure you even my husband was mesmerized. Once she finished, everything went dark and then you hear the most beautiful flute playing, expertly done and hauntingly beautiful, I didn’t want it to end. After that came some traditional singing and some truly amazing dancing. The traditional regalia they wore were beautiful and had much spiritual significance which they fully explained. The whole show lasted about 1 1/2 hours, we truly felt that we got our moneys worth and highly recommend it to anyone in the area who is wanting to know more about Native American history and tradition.

Truly an extraordinary experience from start to finish. We gained so much insight into Navajo history and daily life, and we were deeply moved to see how their entire culture is rooted in a profound philosophy of living in complete harmony with nature. Enjoyed incredible authentic cuisine cooked by our hosts and were mesmerized by the traditional Navajo dances. We left the show with a genuine desire to come back and experience it all over again. Highly recommended!

The presentation was excellent and informative of Native American culture, music, and dance. The food was tasty. We enjoyed conversation with a family from Netherlands while eating. I am a university music professor. Don’t expect Broadway production value but the presentation is beautifully written and executed. I wish my students had an opportunity to experience authentic cultures at this level. Highly recommended.

It was a fantastic show. The MC was very entertaining and gave a very interesting and engaging history of the regional clans. Including their belief system, the history and symbolism of their weaving and their treatment by our government. Then there was the dancers, singers, drummers! Fantastic!! We would definitely recommend attending this event.

This was the most entertaining dinner I’ve experienced in many years! I love how the culture was taught and explained! The dancers are so talented! The kids loved it!!

Such a fun little show. Really showcased a lot of Native history and several historical dances along with their meanings.
The entire evening was very entertaining and informative. It provided an authentic snapshot into the first nation culture, values, and the traditions and rituals that keep them alive and sacred. Dining with new friends was an unexpected pleasure and an opportunity to share the reactions to the experience. The food was very good, but I could have eaten a lot more. The length of the concert was about right.

The show and food were great ! My grandson loved the singing and dancing. One person couldn’t stand the joy and fun he was having and my daughter had to take him out until the last song . The host was very kind about it and did request a full refund for our group.
