Amazing experience with a fantastic guide. Saw many of the major attractions at a very comfortable pace! Getting to skip the line at the Duomo and Last supper was completely worth it. Was intrigued and learning during the entire tour. Highly recommend!

Disappointing your of the Last Supper

Joan_P, Aug 2026
To very carefully read & understand any last minute changes to the meeting point, which I failed to do.

Don’t miss this tour, ask for David!

Excellent tour guide, two hrs of interesting information with a twist of italian humor. The last super is a must see.

Advanced purchase of a ticket and Wikipedia just as good

Richard_M, Jul 2026
It was pleasant. But for €15 Euro ticket paid in advance and reading Wikipedia, you can get most of the same out of it. When you’re looking at $200 per person for a 60 minute tour, I would say it wasn’t worth it. We had a very pleasant guide and for €50 per person it would have been much more palatable. The tour had about 10 people. That was a €2000 per hour tour. Holy cow. And unfortunately, I had two questions that were both unknown to the guide. To save you the time, “ there is a famous story that says Leonardo da Vinci threatened to use the face of a complaining prior as the model for Judas in The Last Supper. The prior was complaining that it was taking Leonardo too long. However, it is almost certainly an anecdote rather than a documented historical fact.” Here’s the second; “ On the night of August 15, 1943, Allied bombers struck Milan heavily. The monastery of Santa Maria delle Grazie was hit by multiple bombs. Here’s what happened: * The roof of the refectory collapsed. * Much of the monastery around it was destroyed. * Three of the four walls of the dining hall were blown away or severely damaged. * The wall containing Leonardo’s The Last Supper remained standing, although exposed to the open air for some time. Why didn’t the wall collapse? It wasn’t simply luck, although luck played a huge role. Several factors contributed: 1. Protective bracing before the bombing * Anticipating air raids, Italian conservators had surrounded the mural wall with scaffolding, sandbags, and timber supports. * These were intended to absorb blast forces and catch falling debris. 2. A very strong masonry wall * The mural is painted directly onto a thick brick wall that formed part of the monastery’s structural core. * Renaissance masonry of this type can be surprisingly resilient. 3. The bomb blasts struck elsewhere * The bombs devastated the roof and surrounding portions of the building, but no bomb scored a direct hit on the mural wall itself. * Had one landed even a short distance closer, the painting almost certainly would have been destroyed. 4. Rapid stabilization afterward * Once the bombing ended, engineers immediately shored up the surviving wall before weather and structural movement could cause it to fail. What about the opposite wall? The opposite end of the refectory contains a large fresco of the Crucifixion by Giovanni Donato da Montorfano. That wall also survived the bombing, leaving the refectory with its two decorated end walls standing while much of the rest of the building lay in ruins. This produced one of the most haunting photographs of the war: the two monumental paintings still facing each other across what had become an open-air ruin.”

13 men, one final meal, and a devastating revelation.

Martino curated this tour splendidly. He takes the extra time to explain so many details, and you can hear the passion in his voice. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, with the amount of time allotted.

Highly Recommend This Tour

We had such a great time exploring Milan! Our tour guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and made the city's history come alive with interesting stories and local insights. Seeing The Last Supper, the Duomo, and so many beautiful landmarks was unforgettable. Thank you for an amazing tour—we couldn't have asked for a better guide!

Giada's tour of the Last Supper is the best!

John_B, Jul 2026
All visitors are only allowed a 15 minute window to view the Last Supper but, with a terrific guide like Giada, we got great value from the visit. Lively, entertaining and very informative.

The last supper

vbenson123, Jul 2026
I really enjoyed this tour. The best part was seeing the last supper. Our guide was very informative. We went in the height of summer so it was very hot and at times we were in the sun for longer than I thought we would be. Also, we did cover more distance than I thought we were going to, this would not have been an issue but in those temperatures it did make the tour more challenging, especially for elderly people.

Fun experience for my whole family.

Amanda_J, Jul 2026
Great guide, meeting place was easy to find. The guide did her best to keep us in the shade. It was super hot but we still enjoyed it very much.

Tourists trap and mostly in Italian contrary to advertised tour in English

Jurate_B, Jul 2026
Turist trap for English speaking travelers. Overcharged for tour in English, as advertised. Unfortunately, the guide spent MOST of the tour time speaking Italian, favoring local travelers and providing few pieces of information in English, not much. She seemed bored and not engaging in tour. Microphones broken. The last 14 minutes seeing the actual painting was only one best part of the tour. It was not a tour in English as advertised and highly priced.

Expensive for what you get

Tara_K, Jul 2026
Guide was very informative but 600 EUROS for 45 minutes was crazy expensive. I thought there was more included in the tour, but no one could give us any information on what else we could see.

Short and Sweet Visit to The Last Supper

MaryEwen, Jul 2026
Very easy to follow instructions to meet up with the guide. Lockers available for free to stow away any water or purchases with you. Our guide did a phenomenal job of explaining where we were and when in history Leonardo would have been in Milano. The experience was fascinating. The time with the actual painting is quick, but you’re able to get so close and appreciate it fully. Thankful we did this experience while in Minalo!

Hot Milan but great tour guide

Elizabeth_M, Jun 2026
We had trouble finding our tour guide but once he was located the tour was fantastic. Very informative and sensitive to older travelers who were hot!

Over priced and over hyped

sanyasemail, Jun 2026
Paid way too much for this. This is something we could have done on our own. Felt like we were taken advantage of with the price gouging.

Wonderful with one fault

David_H, Jun 2026
The painting, the story, and the guide were outstanding. My only negative was the exorbitant cost of the tour…..due in large part to it being mid June vacation time ……trying to,buy tickets several weeks ahead, I found that the only option available this week was an 8:00 am at over $300 for the two of us. For a 45 minute experience. Only 15 minutes in front of the painting. I thought this was far too expensive. Please just buy the tickets far early and cancel, if allowed ..

Nice tour for all ages to see and learn about Da Vinci's Last Supper painting!

Wendy_C, Jun 2026
We started a little later than the scheduled time - and there were more people in our group than I expected - but all were provided with an earphone and we were connected to our guide - She was knowledgeable and personable - and gave us extra Art Historic information. I personally was an Art History major so I had this info already, but could see it was new news to mostly everyone else and she made the learning fun... there was room for all of us and the short time they provide (15 min) at the painting itself was time enough - going into and coming out - we were provided with great info and it moved it along fr us in a nice manner. Id recommend to anyone.

The Last Supper painting

Mary_S, Jun 2026
Our tickets were for 1:30pm. We thought we were entering the chapel at 1:30, however, it was a small tour for 45 minutes first so we didn’t enter until 215. Our tour guide was informative and pleasant.

Milan City Tour, The Last Supper, & Duomo

Jennifer_B, Jun 2026
Samantha was great. We saw The Last Supper (which was my priority), inside the Duomo, the Castle, and other parts of the city. Had a coffee break & lunch break along the way. Would highly recommend for The Last Supper & Duomo alone!!!

DO Not USE! Guide did not show and ruined our chance to see the Last Supper.

Eddie_P, Jun 2026
Guide did not show. No call or notification No answer when called. Had to place a request to Viator for a refund. Planed months in advance but this provider was a “no show”.

More than worth it!

Ernest_B, Jun 2026
Maria is very knowledgeable and passionate! All of it is so interesting and vivid. Highly recommended!

Da Vinci's last supper

RichardCraig_K, May 2026
We wanted to go to da Vinci's last supper, however, a month ago there were no other options than this 6 hour tour of some of Milan's highlights. It was good learning about some of the major historical spots, and of course, beautiful churches.

Diane_A, May 2026
Good but could stand improvement. Two 30 minutes “breaks” plus 15 min bathroom break equaled 1.25 hours of doing nothing. The visit to palace is rushed- you don’t get to see the Michaelangelo which for me was a tremendous disappointment especially since we had plenty of time The Duomo & Last Supper portion were excellent . Our guide was knowledgable & very pleasant. Personally while I generally liked the tour, I would break the sightseeing into 2 tours to avoid so much down time. I would do the Duomo including the roof ( this tour excludes the roof). Then I would do the last supper as a separate tour

Rewarding Experience
