After meeting your knowledgeable guide in front of the Duomo, Milan's immense and extravagant Gothic cathedral, learn about the history of the church, taking some time to study the facade of the sacred structure, including the statues and wicked gargoyles.
Head toward the entrance to the cathedral, going right past that long line and entering the building, thanks to the skip-the-line ticket. Stroll through the interior with your guide, learning about the overlooked nooks and corners of the building and hearing about some of the incredible artwork that's inside. Admire the 50 incredible stained glass windows, as well as the sculptures and paintings.
After, come up to ground level again and exit the church. If you've chosen this tour on the weekend, take some free time to see more of Milan on your own or tuck into a nice meal at a local restaurant. Or, if you've taken this on a weekday, commence the rooftop tour immediately.
Go back inside the cathedral with your skip-the-line ticket and then ride in the lift up to the Duomo's terrace
Once on the rooftop, take in the amazing views of the city, getting close-up sights of the statues, spires, and gargoyles. Take a moment to listen to your guide regale you with more history of the cathedral.
After spending some time up on the roof and admiring the views, head back down to ground level, as your tour is finished.

- A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women.
- It is FORBIDDEN to introduce inside Duomo food, liquids, knifes, ceramic mugs and everything that can be used as blunt weapon.
- Kindly consider that after the elevator, there are around 75 stairs in order to reach the top of the Cathedral, and back down at the end of the tour
- On hot days, we recommend wearing a hat, applying sunscreen, and bringing a bottle of water to stay protected and hydrated during the tour.
- If you selected the Open Bus Ticket, please show your voucher at the bus stop in Piazza Duomo, in front of the taxi stand. Look for the MILAN OPEN TOUR bus.

If you choose the rooftop option be prepared for narrow stairwells especially on the way down. Definitely worth it for the views of the city and upper spirals/statues.

Dress appropriately. I wore shorts, got yelled at upon arrival and was forced to spend 20 euro on a cheap scarf to tie around my waist.
No shorts, no bare shoulders. A lot of talking, not a lot of looking around. Btw. Skip the line? There is no line! LOL

You will not be bored on this tour. Chiara was entertaining AND informative. She also could remember everyone in the group and where they were from. She told great stories mixed with contemporary tales and pointed out details you might miss.

Our tour guide for the 10 am group was perfection! She presented the Duomo with passion and care. She was also very engaging calling us by the places we were from. My daughter and I were the pink ladies from Florida (plus my husband). We really enjoyed the tour and the energetic personality of our tour guide! We highly recommend. If only I recalled her name but I know she is a Libra as we have that in common.
A side note: the group that went in before us at 9:45 am on June 29th had a very grumpy tour guide with the same tour company who felt the need to speak down to the tourists in her group. She continued reprimanding one particular tourist who had not yet put the headphones on. She even scolded her. I’m so thankful we did not have her. I’m so grateful we got the lovely lady in the purple dress who brought a smile to all our faces! Thank you!

We had an amazing time on this Duomo tour and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Milan. The cathedral is breathtaking on its own, but having a guide made the experience so much more meaningful.
Marta was fantastic! She was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so many fascinating stories and historical details that we never would have picked up exploring on our own. You could tell she genuinely loves Milan and its history, and her enthusiasm made the entire tour engaging from start to finish. She struck the perfect balance between explaining the big picture and pointing out the small architectural details that make the Duomo so incredible.
The rooftop views were spectacular, and the skip-the-line access made everything smooth and stress-free. This ended up being one of the highlights of our trip to Milan. If you have the chance, book this tour and hope you get Marta as your guide. She was outstanding!

Very good description of the Cathedral, and great views of Milan from the rooftop. Be advised that the rooftop tour involves many steps and narrow spaces. Most of the rooftop tour is in full sun, so be aware and cautious.

Our guide Carmine was very knowledgeable about the church and gave a great tour. My only reason for 4 of 5 is that the rooftop view didn’t give a real view of the city. The city view was blocked by a lot of church construction. We chose this tour principally for the description of the rooftop view of the city and that was a disappointment. Also we thought the lines to get into the church would be very long so that’s why we got the skip the line tickets but there was no line!

Despite the officially booked time, the tour operator changed the departure time. They said they had sent an email. I could not find it. With a changed time a reminder on the day before would have been appreciated.

Our records show that we did notify you of the schedule adjustment well in advance. In fact, on June 4, 2026, at 8:20 PM (3 weeks before the tour), you replied to our notification by email with the exact words: "I confirm the time change to my booking".
Because you explicitly confirmed the new starting time, we expected you to arrive at the updated hour. Unfortunately, you still arrived at the original, incorrect time.
Despite the fact that missing the confirmed departure slot completely voids the booking guidelines, our team still went above and beyond to assist you by providing you with your entrance tickets so you would not miss the attraction.
We always strive to accommodate our guests, even when mistakes happen on their end, and we hope you still appreciated being able to enter the site.

Amazing view. Loved the tour guide. He was funny, informative and honest about the climb and heat. There is an elevator for part of it. But don’t do the afternoon if the temps are high. We went in the morning and the temps were barely tolerable. Other than the heat we enjoyed the tour.

Regarding the duration, we would like to clarify that the tour lasted exactly 2 hours, which is precisely what is stated in our product description.
You mentioned the alternative of an audio tour, but we would like to highlight the significant differences. If you had chosen an audio guide, you would have first needed to wait in the regular queue at the ticket office to buy the tickets, followed by the individual entrance line for both the Cathedral and the Terraces—which is considerably longer than the dedicated group access you experienced. Furthermore, an audio tour cannot replace the interactive element of having a dedicated, live guide at your disposal to answer questions.

It was beautiful to see Duomo, few things to keep on mind; taking early group tour would be better due to hot and humid weather in Milan. The audio was not working properly with the guide trying his best to make it work! The guide was good explaining all the details in spite of audio issues. It is must visit place.

Good tour, filled with information, we did the rooftop but it was incredibly overcrowded with hundreds and hundreds of people who could barely walk, so trying to go down 18 flights of stairs literally took hours.
And there is no clear areas to get pictures from the rooftop, so would recommend skipping the rooftop unless it’s a bucket list item.

Several members of our group had been sent email notifying us that the time of our tour had been changed to an earlier time. None of us saw this, assuming notifications would also appear on the app, or as a text message, or on our actual ticket with the new time being flagged. Luckily we had a wonderful, understanding guide who let us stay with our group. I think it’s especially difficult when the new time is earlier rather than later. Also, there is no obvious information anywhere at the time of booking that times are subject to change. Our guide, Ciara, was wonderful, efficient, affable and very funny. I was glad that we got these skip-the-line tickets - it was so much easy to do this as a group rather than arrange on our own. Having elevator access to the roof was great. You have to take stairs on the way down which was easy, but elevator access for the way down is available to those who need it. It was really hot (100 degrees) that day. Depending on when you go, think about this because. You’ll be up on the roof (we were there midday and there are always shady parts, but it was hot). Rain makes the rooftop marble very slippery apparently.
