Eddy our guide sent out in the morning all the rules so you knew exactly what to expect, ie clothing requirements, security, etc. The meeting place was easy to find. Eddy was very knowledgeable, and skipping the line in the extreme heat a blessing. The Cathedral was beautiful and the views breathtaking.

This was an tour of a lifetime. The Duomo is not to be missed and to do it with this type of tour is the way to go. Laura was our guide and she was energetic and provided a fantastic tour. It is truly skip the line in both the basilica and the rooftop experience. Highly recommend seeing the Duomo on this type of tour. It is breathtaking!

We had a great time on this Duomo tour! Our guide was friendly, easy to follow, and shared so many interesting facts without it ever feeling overwhelming. The cathedral is absolutely stunning, and going up to the rooftop was definitely the highlight. The views were incredible! We’re so glad we did the tour instead of visiting on our own. Itinerary

After meeting your knowledgeable guide in front of the Duomo, Milan's immense and extravagant Gothic cathedral, learn about the history of the church, taking some time to study the facade of the sacred structure, including the statues and wicked gargoyles.

Head toward the entrance to the cathedral, going right past that long line and entering the building, thanks to the skip-the-line ticket. Stroll through the interior with your guide, learning about the overlooked nooks and corners of the building and hearing about some of the incredible artwork that's inside. Admire the 50 incredible stained glass windows, as well as the sculptures and paintings.

After, come up to ground level again and exit the church. If you've chosen this tour on the weekend, take some free time to see more of Milan on your own or tuck into a nice meal at a local restaurant. Or, if you've taken this on a weekday, commence the rooftop tour immediately.

Go back inside the cathedral with your skip-the-line ticket and then ride in the lift up to the Duomo's terrace

Once on the rooftop, take in the amazing views of the city, getting close-up sights of the statues, spires, and gargoyles. Take a moment to listen to your guide regale you with more history of the cathedral.

After spending some time up on the roof and admiring the views, head back down to ground level, as your tour is finished.

Kindly consider that after the elevator, there are around 75 stairs in order to reach the top of the Cathedral, and back down at the end of the tour
On hot days, we recommend wearing a hat, applying sunscreen, and bringing a bottle of water to stay protected and hydrated during the tour.

Chara was the best! She was so funny and knowledgeable that my 16 year old son loved this tour as well and said that Chara needs to be a teacher. I wish I met her earlier in the trip to request more tours with her! We learned so much on this tour. I highly recommend it and definitely request Chara!!

Don't wait in line to save $20 or something. Your time is more valuable than that. We didn't have to wait at all to see the rooftop tour, we had a friendly knowledgeable guide and then still had time on our own at the end to stay in the Duomo as long as we liked.

It was wonderful to go inside and to be on each level of the Duomo to see the architecture. There are many steps going up and down and narrow hallways, which is fine if you can manage that.

I expected to be amazed by the majesty, history and beauty of the Duomo. What made this tour the best of my trip was our guide. Yes, she had all the info, but she was super-energetic and very funny: “London [we were all called by our cities] we now go inside, put the sweater on - you’re too sexy”). She brought a welcome jolt of the unexpected to every step of the tour. (And there are a LOT of steps in the Duomo. Don’t take the roof part of the program if that’s an issue.)

Excellent tour guide. Very informative and funny. Didn’t catch her name. If you have already visited a few Duomos then you could skip this one as they all start to look the same. It is not exactly “skip the line” as we had to wait in line for a while for the elevator. Meet up and check-in was easy. Be sure to show up 15 minutes early. If going in summer be prepared for the heat. You are allowed to have water and I highly recommend it.

Not worth the money

The check in process was a disaster. No organization at all, we checked in with a separate person not with the guide. Our guide couldn’t figure out the microphone and then was firing off information at rapid fire with no opportunity for questions about the sites she was referring to. The Duomo itself is beautiful and highly recommended but you can also easily purchase your own ticket at the door and the queue when we were there was essentially non existent. The guide added no additional information we felt we couldn’t have gotten on our own. The guide also gave us incorrect information I verified later on in the afternoon.

Great tour of the Duomo. Tour started on time and meeting place was easily found. Guide Simone was great, he provided headphones for everyone. Group was approximately 20 people in total. Simone was very thorough and did a nice job moving us to the front of the line and elevator to the top. He did a great job explaining things and answering questions. Would recommend for comprehensive tour of the Duomo, took about 2 hours in total. For any females wearing tank tops they need to cover their shoulders so recommend bringing a shawl / scarf FYI!

Make sure you bring something to cover your shoulders. I was not told this by Viator but thankfully I had a light kimono wrapped around my waist that I quickly put on to cover my shoulders.

I it was a very nice destination, but we could’ve used a little bit more explanation and guidance to exit. I understand the tour guide was her first wish she did very good but it needed a little bit more explanation, but I would definitely do it again.

As a result, descending requires taking the historic stone stairs. However, an elevator is available for going up, and in cases of physical limitations, mobility needs, or special requests, it can also be used for the descent upon request to our staff or the cathedral security. The tour was good and quite well organised. Although it was a very hot day we managed. The meeting point was a little confusing as lots of yours started there. We were messaged the day before to advise the time had changed from 10am to 9.30, yet it was after 9.45 when the guide arrived.

I usually love Viator, so much better than Airbnb, but this time I was disappointed. It was very unorganized. The group before us had the tour guide no showed. Silva, our tour guide did her best. She was well informed, made good eye contact and kept us all together. We left an hour late and the group was huge. Her Viator equipment was faulty and she had to use her personal microphone. I think Viator should give us a partial refund.

Carmine was absolutely wonderful. He was so nice and so knowledgeable. We were so happy that we chose the rooftop tour. **Remember to cover your shoulders and knees. I almost wasn’t let in and Carmine let me borrow a scarf that he had- thank goodness he had one!! The meeting point check in is a little disorganized but i highly recommend this tour.
