Simply Outstanding!

Philip_S, Apr 2026
A once in a lifetime experience made SO much better with Mauro our private guide. He gave us so much history, not only of the painting but also the church and the families of Milan. One of the best private guides we've had. 10/10 would recommend.

Good guide but overpriced

Tonya_Z, Nov 2025
Our tour guide provided good information and history. He was courteous and helpful. Unfortunately I am leaving a lower review rating because this tour was just way too overpriced to be worth what we paid. It seems like the tour company buys up all the tickets and then overcharges customers that cannot get them because they are sold out. The tour was just about an hour and we paid more for it than our other half-full day tours in Italy. Again, nothing against our guide but the price was just unreasonable for the time and service. We probably would have preferred to buy tickets direct if they hadn’t sold out within 15 minutes to the tour companies.

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Dear Tonya, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re very glad to hear that you enjoyed your guide’s knowledge and professionalism. However, we’re sorry to learn that you felt the tour did not offer good value for the price. Please allow us to clarify that pricing for private experiences like this reflects not only the guided portion but also the complex logistics and costs involved in securing access to extremely limited tickets. Our goal is to ensure guests are still able to enjoy these remarkable places without the disappointment of missing out due to sold-out availability. That said, we genuinely value your comments, as they help us continue to improve the balance between quality and value. We hope you still came away with wonderful memories from your time in Italy and that you might give us another opportunity to welcome you in the future. Kind regards, The Eyes of Rome Team

Expensive but worth it

Meri_d, Oct 2025
Well worth it if you can afford it. Guide provided a lot of interesting information about the painting and the church, and made sure we were first into the room ahead of the group that was with us. You are allowed 15 minutes inside and the time passed quickly with all she had to say about it. I especially liked her insight into the way to recognize the original parts and the restoration.

Response from Host, Oct 2025

Thank you for sharing this. We're glad the experience felt both valuable and insightful—those 15 minutes can be truly powerful with the right guidance. The Eyes of Rome Team

Worth it!

Claudia_R, Jul 2025
This was a private tour. The early wake up was worth the effort especially since we were the first ones in the room with the Last Supper. It was an easy meeting point, exactly as described and our guide, Deborah, was knowledgeable, easy to understand, informative and gracious. Incredibly well worth it.

Response from Host, Jul 2025

It’s fantastic to hear that Debora made the experience so memorable. We’ll be sure to pass along your kind words to her. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and hope to welcome you on another tour in the future. Warm regards, The Eyes of Rome Team

Last Supper with Gianluca

Natascia_G, Jun 2025
Gianluca was fabulous- very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. He was able to share minute details in a beautiful storytelling manner that had me in a spell from beginning to end. A painting of the Last Supper hung in my mother’s kitchen growing up, so it was very special for me to understand so many facts about how it came about, it’s history and careful restoration- the reason I came to Milan and thanks to Gianluca- an absolute highlight. Grazie Gianluca- you are a gifted guide ♥️♥️

Response from Host, Jun 2025

Dear Natascia, We’re truly touched by your words, and so happy to hear how meaningful this experience was for you. It’s wonderful to know that Gianluca helped make that connection so vivid and unforgettable for you. We’ll be sure to pass along your kind message — grazie from all of us, and especially from Gianluca! Warmest wishes, The Eyes of Rome Team
