Fantastico food tour!

An amazing experience full of delicious food. We were treated to meeting several artisan food producers including behind the scenes visits to kitchen to see baking and pasta making and then delicious tastings. We were treated also to a variety of hams and different aged parmegiano cheese with Lambrusco. All in all a truly delightful and tasty experience with our wonderful host and guide Barbara who answered all our questions and was able to give us so much information not just of the local foods but also the history of Parma. Best tour ever!

This was one of the highlights of our trip. We visited small artisanal producers of Parmesan cheese and Prosciutto di Parma and loved getting to see the traditional process up close. It was fascinating to learn how much care and craftsmanship goes into making these incredible foods, and of course the tastings were amazing! Larish was a fabulous tour guide—knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the region and its food. He made the experience fun and engaging the entire time and shared so many interesting details we never would have known otherwise. If you enjoy authentic local food experiences, this tour is a must. Great day.

May not be handicap accessible so please double check. Driver was right on time to pick us up in the morning. Seeing how the Parmigiana was made was fascinating for a “cheese nerd”. The Parma ham producer was top notch and I had no idea how labor intensive it is to produce. The balsamic vinegar producer was also top notch. Our driver and guides’ English were great and they were very informative of the various productions and products. My wife and I really enjoyed the day.

A Great Tour, A Guide

This was a fantastic experience. Our guide was excellent and was very thorough in guiding us through the intricacies of the Parmagiano cheese making process and also Prosciutto di Parma. You really begin to appreciate the skill and care that goes into these wonderful products. The Balsamic vinegar part of the tour provided tastings of the different types and ages. The nuances in the flavors were enhanced by a thorough explanation of each. Very worthwhile. I would recommend this tour to anyone that loves Italian food.

Excellent and Educational Tour!

The tour explains the entire instrument-making process, from the selection of the wood to the finishing touches. We enjoyed hearing about the relationship between violin-making and the town of Cremona throughout history, and left with an extreme appreciation for the woodworking and musical art that exists in the town. This was great to pair with a visit to the Violin Museum, to see modern and antique fine instruments and then learn how the craft is still alive today.
