Amazing in-person experience for every stage of the cheese making process!

We had a fantastic time! Would recommend to friends. It was incredibly informative and interesting. Amazing to see the production in front of your eyes (instead of all the documentaries we saw before). It's truly something else! Be wary - the smell is quite strong, a few in our group couldn't handle it and had to sit out on the tour. Tried 12 month and 30 month Parmigiano at the end with the local wine. Few negatives: there were quite a bit of organizational issues at the begin once we arrived (>30 mins waiting around). Our group was way too big like more than 20 people. It felt like it was more advertised to be a smaller group. It'd also be nice to have adult-only tours.

The Parma tour you have to take

This was the tour that I didn’t know that I needed to take. Wow, how fun and informative this was. I will never look at Parmesan cheese or prosciutto the same way again. My husband and I now delve into all of the intricacies that go into making both of these wonderful foods. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable about the process and of course the area of Parma. We had a fun group there were eight of us in total. I would completely recommend this to anyone who is interested in how the cheese and hams are prepared and if I’m being honest, the taste testing at the end was pretty good too!

We did this tour as a family this afternoon and we all had an amazing time, personally my favorite thing we have done on our trip to Italy so far. Loris (I hope I’m spelling the name right) was an exceptional guide, it was so much fun viewing the entire process of the cheese making. It was very informative, interesting and fun. We did it with our two children who had an amazing time. I would absolutely recommend going out of your way to make this tour, and would recommend it for any age group. We capped it off with buying a bunch of Parmesan from the shop which we will share with family and friends along with the photos from the tour. Cannot recommend enough, absolutely worth the trip!

The guides were very knowledgeable and pleasant and the stops were well chosen and quaint. Our only complaint would be our driver who must have been late getting home, could not understand a word of english and had a little attitude. Other than that we had a great time and would highly recommend.

Vacation highlight in Parma

We enjoyed a great day! The driver was prompt and friendly. Our guide was amazing! She took us to local factories for Parmesan and Prosciutto followed by a wonderful lunch. Two of our party are gluten free and they were able to accommodate without issues. Our last stop at a family run balsamic maker was special.

We had the most incredible experience just outside of Parma with this pasta, truffle, and wine experience—it was truly the highlight of our time in Italy. From the moment we arrived, our host welcomed us into their home. The setting in the countryside was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. We started by learning how to make fresh pasta from scratch, with hands-on guidance that made it both fun and approachable. I can see a pasta maker in our future 😬 What made this experience unforgettable was the warmth and authenticity. Best tour ever!

This was one of the highlights of our trip. We visited small artisanal producers of Parmesan cheese and Prosciutto di Parma and loved getting to see the traditional process up close. It was fascinating to learn how much care and craftsmanship goes into making these incredible foods, and of course the tastings were amazing! Larish was a fabulous tour guide—knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the region and its food.
