- It is extremely recommended to wear comfortable shoes. During hot days it is recommended to wear a sun hat.
- Due to increased security measures at the Duomo some lines may form. Additionally, strict rules apply to enter the church (no knives, no scissors, no glass bottles, etc.)
- The elevator has a maximum capacity of 7 people, so you may encounter a line to get to the roof
- Please note that you will have to climb nearly 50 steps to reach the highest level on the roof
- DRESS CODE: Please note that appropriate clothing is required to enter religious sites. Shoulders and knees must be covered. Off-the-shoulder or low-cut tops, shorts, miniskirts, and hats are not permitted inside the Cathedral.

The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the Duomo, but also the city of Milan. Really helpful to have a tour and not just try to do it on our own. There was also a decent line for the elevator to the roof and this allowed us to skip the line. Highly recommend this tour.

They refused to let us on the tour as my daughter was wearing a skirt. No where on the viator page was this forbidden. Only after arrival was I told that your knees had to be covered in order to take part. They also changed the time of the tour the day before, but they seems trivial since we didn't get to go at all. I'm still waiting for a refund. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Please note that this tour includes entry into a church, where a strict dress code is enforced. Knees and shoulders must be covered at all times. This requirement applies to all bookings and is mandatory for participation.
Our staff kindly asked your daughter to cover her knees, but as this was not done, entry could not be permitted. Unfortunately, as a result, the tour could not take place.
We understand this is disappointing, but the dress code is non-negotiable and applies to all guests from the time of booking.

We had a great tour despite the rain. Tour guide is very knowledgeable. She had many insights to share. Only problem was with the transmission from her microphone. If we were near by we could hear great. If she was in another section as we walked around on roof of the cathedral, we lost her audio feed. In the side the cathedral we could hear her well.

There is a lot of time spent in the Duomo at the beginning. sitting in the pews listening to the guide provide history. This was very interesting but I would have appreciated a bit more time to walk around inside the Duomo before heading up to the rooftop.
The rooftop walk was OUTSTANDING! A must do in Milan. Lots of steps up and down, so if you are mobility challenged this is not for you.

The tour itself was good. David was knowledgeable and friendly. The time of the tour however was changed without notice to us. It was moved up by 1 hour so we missed 1/2 of the tour and had to search for David in the Cathedral. We missed the rooftop terrace portion of the tour. Poor communication by the operator.

Great tour guide and history of the basilica. It’s always impressive to see and hear the story behind these mega construction projects from the 14th century and how it’s take. 500 + years to complete.

Chiara was so knowledgeable and was able to engage the entire group
She was high energy and made the tour fun.
She showed us parts of the cathedral that we never would have seen on our own.
Chiara explained the significance of the outside and inside of the cathedral and provided historical references that made the tour interesting highlighting the significance of Milan in Italian and European History. She brought History to life. I highly recommend this tour.

We booked last minute and glad we did. Easy to find and close by meeting point. The guide was very nice, easy to understand, and she talks to our headset so we can wander around and listen to her. The duomo is a must-visit, especially the rooftop. Magnificent.

Great tour if it’s not pouring rain. We felt it was unsafe being so wet on marble. Shocked that the Duomo didn’t close the roof in such bad weather. Couldn’t skip roof and tour inside since guide only had tickets on her phone. Info doesn’t tell you 90 steps up and 140 down. Guide very knowledgeable but we had to wait outside in the rain for 40 minutes until she finished rooftop tour so we could at get something for our money. Everyone came down drenched from the roof.

Fabulous experience getting to walk on the roof area and upper parts of the cathedral. The views are stunning. The inside of the church was beautiful and magnificent as well. It was hard to hear our tour guide at times as it was a very busy day and we were with a large group.

Our tour guide was difficult to understand due to her heavy accent and she did not use the microphone in the best way that would allow us to hear clearly. We were quite disappointed as we were unable to gain information on the painting and the tour location.

Finding the tour took a few minutes, as we were looking for the white flag. The guide's helper was holding a sign about waist high. We were lucky to spot him. The guide was amazing and certainly knew a lot. He was very informative. I was extremely concerned about handling the steps and holding a group up, as I have a bad knee. But, I did fine. I got some really wonderful photos and found the Duomo most exceptional.

The guide was fantastic. It will be hard to find the group as there is either no sign or it is not easy to see(this is after two trips). Always there just at the time not early as we always are.
