I was not told that we need to keep the receipt for the next day when we try to get back on the bus the people had a attitude with us and we could not get a refund for not being there for the second day.

The tour was ok...we usually take the entire tour to then figure out different stops to revisit..Some of the spots would have been too far to go back to since we had limited time. Also while the translation pointed out the significance of each stop/landmark, it would be abruptly turned off to announce the next stop..so the information was not complete..

The staff is very good, pleasant, attentive and helpful. The bus was clean and the audio system worked well. They’re 3 routes which does help one be able to do a single route in a manageable amount of time.

The route weaves through all the highlights, from grand boulevards to tucked-away gems, giving you that “I’m seeing everything” feeling without the exhaustion. The audio guide added a nice layer—just enough history and fun facts to make you feel informed without turning it into a lecture. It was like having a friendly local whispering stories in your ear as you passed each landmark. What really made it special was the flexibility. We could linger over a café stop, wander through a museum, then simply catch the next bus when we were ready. No rush, no pressure—just Madrid on our own rhythm. If you’re short on time or just want a relaxed overview of the city, this is a lovely way to do it. Easy, scenic, and surprisingly charming—like Madrid itself.

This was an incredibly frustrating experience and I strongly advise against booking this service. The pickup location listed on the website was incorrect and placed in an area where buses cannot even access, causing unnecessary confusion and wasted time. After finding the correct location on my own, I waited an additional 45 minutes and the bus never arrived. Customer support was completely unresponsive, making the entire experience unreliable and disappointing.

Great way to see Madrid. Please understand where to meet the bus at the blue and silver posts. Not made very clear, but good experience over all. We took all 3 routes. Buses ran on schedule!

Hop-On Hop-Off Bus with Poorly Marked Stops

The hop-on hop-off bus is a convenient way to see the city, but the experience could definitely be improved. Many of the bus stops were poorly marked, making them difficult to find, especially for first-time visitors. We spent extra time walking around trying to locate the correct stop. Another downside was the ticket kiosk staff, who were not very helpful when we asked for directions to the nearest stop. They were not helpful when asked for the bus stops simply because we already purchased tickets beforehand and not from them. Clearer signage and more helpful guidance from the kiosks would make the service much better for tourists. Overall, the route itself is good for sightseeing, but the lack of clear stop markings and limited assistance made it frustrating at times.

Audio is not working

It is a good trip, but many of the audio sockets do not work. Fix the the dam thing or refund. We sat in several areas, and was challenged by the quality of audio and working conditions. Just plain unacceptable

Very nice busses, the staff was very helpful and the narrative was very informative. We purchased a 48 hr pass but we could not use the second day. I have used Hop on Hop Off buses in many cities and we could use the passes on non consecutive days. Here if you purchase a 48 hour pass/ticket it must be used on consecutive days. We had other things planned and could not use the second day. Other than that this is a very good company the staff were very helpful and the audio was very very good.

It was a lovely comfotable ride, easy to find the start point, the audioguide was good. Sadly though, in Madrid, the tour is not “hop on hop off”. But nevertheless it was a great way to see the sights!

The tour guides did not know where to go to pick up the bus I was sent back-and-forth two or three times. The bus was freezing no air conditioning heater very boring. Go through parts of the town that we’re insignificant.

Tickets overpriced for 24hr duration. Other tour buses offering 12 month duration with their tickets. Recorded guide should include more detail, when pointing out a building, as you could easily be looking at the wrong building! More stories on the areas would be useful.

Great way to get an overview of the city. But be sure to follow this day with on-foot exploring. Madrid has many intimate plazas and buses can't access small streets.

It is a tour of the city. Not a hop-on hop off bus. Don't make the same mistake we did and think it was. The only way to get a good view is if you are up on top. If you happen to be inside the bus, don't expect to see much of anything.

It was OK but not amazing. I have been on several of these bus tours around the world and this one was so so. You need to get there 1.2 hour eatly to get in the line if you want to be on the upper deck!! Even though we had our wlectronic tickets and proof of payment on the viator app, 2 tickets from our party of 4 could not be recognized with their codes so it was a hassle. They said they were having technical difficulties bit… at 9pm there is nobody to help!!!!

Trouble with tickets and Madrid traffic.

I couldn't retrieve my tickets. The Viator app an email had link to retrieve tickets, but it didn't work. The local agents could not get them either. Finally, I had Viator resend the tickets. This took an hour. We got stuck in Madrid traffic. It took closed to an hour to go six blocks. This was not the fault of the bus company, but it took away from an otherwise good excursion.

The ride was good. There are 2 loops. Several points of interest were repeated. Bring your own headsets (brought my Bose). Clean bus, friendly staff. It’s unfortunate the internet directs you to them as “Hop on-Hop off”. In Madrid, it seems to not be allowed and it’s just a continuous ride. First, without a deep dive into the description I made the assumption that it was the same as all the other big bus city tours and that you could hop on and off at various locations around the city, you can not, but that was my fault for misunderstanding. This bus never stops. Next, the blue route which is supposed to be the historical route doesn’t even get near Plaza Mayor nor anything in the old section as far as I could tell. It was a disappointment and a waste of money.
