Very knowledgeable guide. Gave us history of city sites in addition to Jack the Ripper. Good pace. Enjoyed very much.

A bit boring. Too repetitive of the same details. Could have made it seem more real. The tour guide Magnus was very nice though.

I'm 59 years old ok our very old guide started the tour by saying there was no jack the ripper & he had read 40 books on him so he knows it's all fictitious I told him sometimes a fictitious story is better than just saying idk why your here he's not real no proof & it didn't happen. He even at the beginning started out with changing of the guards is for idiots we enjoyed that trip earlier in the day

Alan Doyle is an amazing tour guide. He was funny, insightful, and always willing to answer questions. Highly recommend!

It was a lot of fun! The tour guide was very educated about not only Jack the Ripper but also London.

The information regarding Jack the ripper was good. Description of trip misleading. Definitely not a sherlock Holmes tour.

London is currently undergoing 20 weeks of road closures around the city centre and the traffic is (understandably) terrible. We spent an hour and 40mins minutes stuck on the bus, which we could have forgiven if it was just the traffic, however, the lack of planning and forethought is not. Our guide kept directing the driver down roads that you couldn’t make turns on (which could have been avoided as simply as using google maps), culminating in our fantastic driver having to reverse the bus 100-200m out of a narrow dead end road while avoiding parked cars on both sides. Unfortunately, over halfway through the tour, we had not even arrived at the first location. We left as soon as we got off the bus, not having the time, patience or energy to start our tour that late, which is a shame, as we were looking forward to hearing the stories of Jack the Ripper.

The knowledge and theories from Magnus was incredible and really made you think about what really went on during that period. Excellent and informative guide

I booked this tour originally for 2020 then Covid hit and everything was cancelled. I rebooked for 2021 but we still weren’t allowed to travel. I was determined to do this tour and booked it for a third time and we finally did it last night. Allan our guide was full of information about a lot of history but more so with Jack and his victims. It might sound morbid but I’ve seen most of the documentaries and read a lot of books so it was easy to keep up with Allan’s information. He made the evening fun and enjoyable. I especially pleased to find there were on 10 of us on the tour instead of 50. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in the Jack the Ripper history.

Alan was the best tour guide we have had in London! I wish I could book him on everything. The tour was quite fun, along with learning how things it was very interactive.

Terrible tour. The host was not engaging. Just talked. His information seemed outdated. Too much walking on concrete with no chance to sit down while the host just read from documents he carried. I don't recall Sherlock Holmes name even mentioned by the host. We were in the British Isles for 15 days and this was the very worst part of the trip.

The tour on the bus was informative and fine but the walking tour was a little boring. Maybe it got better but we left the tour about halfway through.
Todd_W, Jun 2024
The narrow alley of Victorian London was awesome, and our guide was invested in giving us a great experience.
Tanya_B, May 2024
There was nothing haunted about this tour. It was only focused on the Jack the Ripper only. There was nothing about Sherlock Holmes but to be dropped off at the pub at the end of the tour.
Jacquelyn_F, May 2024
The buses were severely delayed and I did not have access to other forms of transportation. When I arrived 4 minutes before departure, the doors were locked and I was not allowed to join the tour bus. The sign said the doors locked 2 minutes before departure, but that was not my experience. Regardless, nothing in the tour description or details states that the doors close and lock early.

Guide was obviously well knowledged but disappointed with the whole experience. Not sure how Sherlock Holmes came into the tour except where we got off the bus
Ivonne_D, May 2024
Can’t remember the tour guides name he was a tall gentleman and work top hat and red vest, he was very knowledgeable but his delivery of the details was quite dull and dry. NOTHING about Sherlock Holmes other than the pub.
Total waste of our money.

Our tour guide Magnus was informative, funny, and very interesting. Besides giving us detailed information about Jack the Ripper, which was fascinating, he also was very knowledgeable about the locations we passed along the way on the bus, getting to our Jack the Ripper starting spot. Definitely recommend!

This tour was so NOT what we were thinking it would be! While our tour guide tried, it was not a great tour. We looked longingly at another, much bigger tour where the guide had pictures of victims, maps, and was animated and interesting. Our guide, Magnus, tried, but didn’t give the experience we had hoped for. We had to ask about Sherlock Holmes, to which Magnus replied with one sentence about it. We also didn’t get to see the William Wallace monument, which is the main reason why we spent $60 for each person instead of $20 for a regular tour. He spent much of his time talking to the bus driver, who was nice, but not the regular driver in a double decker bus. The driver of that bus had been delayed significantly by an accident and traffic, so we got this tour bus instead. Unforeseen things do happen and we understand this, however, this tour was NOT what we had paid for at all! We had the feeling that the rest of the people on this tour thought the same as us. We were in good spirits and loved being in London, so we didn’t let it ruin our evening. We just spent a lot of money on something that was false advertising. Don’t waste your time or money on this tour- get the cheaper one!

Had a great evening. Learned a lot about the murders of Jack the Ripper. This was clearly a passion for our guide. Loved his dry wit and humor.

The story sharing by the tour guide, historical value of the story, the myths and legends and still unknowns!
Raquel_L, Sep 2023
Coming from Australia mum and I were able to see parts of London we never would have been able to see all in one day!! The tour guide was so informative and we learnt so much about the city, history and monuments around. Being able to walk through the sites from those historic murders was very exciting for a fan of serial killers and history. We Highly recommend this tour

The tour Nik was very informative. We had alot of laughs also. This tour was recommended by my cousin.

Magnus Nielson was very interesting and considerate.
Our group was a bit older and some were less mobile, but Magnus seemed to stop and chat near arears where most people with mobility issues could have a seat on a bench, etc. and listen to his presentations and theories without losing anything at all. Most younger people remained on their feet for the approximate 90 minute waking tour, but for those seniors and or those of us with mobility issues, the "walking tour" was very tolerable and pleasant.
Lot's of data, detail and theories shared by Magnus on these historic unsolved crimes.

This was a waste of time. Why go on a tour where the tour guide just reads from a script the entire time?!? And it was supposed to go over Jack the Ripper and Sherlock Holmes but only read a crime profile of Jack the Ripper. No haunted history of other crimes or of haunted London. On top of that, the tour guide was touting his Facebook page of his investigation on Jack the Ripper. The only tour I have ever just left. Not worth the cost of the tour!!
Jennifer_W, Sep 2023
The guide was amazing and the information was great. The walking portion really set the scene for the murders. The low score came from the misrepresentation of some of the tour information on the website. 1.) The tour is NOT in a vintage double-decker bus, which is one of the reasons I chose it. 2.) The tour drops you off at Sherlock Homes pub with no reservations. The pub was closed for diners on the evening we toured.
Pam_S, Aug 2023
The tour guide was knowledgeable and keep me engaged with stories of the time of Jack the Ripper however the reality is there is nothing left from the time of the murders so you really need the guide to paint the picture at the sites, and anything I heard on the tour I could goggle at home.
I enjoyed the tour but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone to be honest.
Stacey_S, Aug 2023
My clients went to the meeting area. Waited 20 mins and nobody showed up. I will be calling and asking for a full refund.
Seth_G, Jul 2023
Great experience, and knowledgeable guide. Would recommend to anyone new to the city and interested in Jack the Ripper
Taleea_H, Jul 2023
Was enjoyable but pricey, probably museum better. Allen the guide very personable. Just needed more include the museum. Not much on Sweeney Todd.
