Great tour. Our guide, Richard, was very knowledgeable and provided clear instructions throughout the day about tour logistics.
Definitely a long day, almost 10 hours, but it was nice to have plenty of time at both locations to fully enjoy them.

It is an excellent adventure. Bring water and be ready to do some walking too.

Last minute we were shifted to a new experience where we spent about an hour visiting three different sites instead of the original option we chose which was supposed to be just two sites (Windsor and Stonehenge). This was a big disappointment as the whole experience felt rushed. I would not book with Viator again considering the money we spent and the overall experience being vastly different than what we signed up for with 5 days notice of the cancellation. Our guide was funny and he did a good job explaining the history.

Lesley was a very knowledgeable tour guide about both Stonehenge and Windsor. She explained the logistics of the day in great detail numerous times so everyone would stay on schedule. However, the heat on the bus was an issue. Despite the tour guide mentioning to the bus driver (Tony) numerous times after stops that the bus was extrmely hot, he absolutely refused to start it up even a few minutes early to allow it to cool off slightly before we reboarded. Anyone that arrived and boarded the bus 10 or so minutes prior to each departure ended up having to get off the bus and stand outside as it was sweltering onboard. When the guide mentioned to him that it was too hot asking to start it up a few minutes early, he would ignore her completely and go off to talk on his phone and smoke.

Tour guide Simon was great! He was funny and kept the riding on the bus interesting with giving some history of London, as well as the locations we were going to. Bus has air condition and phone charging available. It would be good to learn in advance of booking, the amount of time getting to spend in each location, for those who may want to spend longer amount of time.

I loved this. My favorite London site this trip. Perfect amount of time. Lesder was excellent. Windsor was also very good. For US viyizens make sure uou meet ar Victoria COACh station not Victoria train statiion

Our guide was absolutely spectacular. She was professional friendly extremely knowledgeable and kept the entire bus ride lively both going and the return. Be prepared for the 1.5hr bus ride both ways. Our tour guide James was amazing and kept the bus ride fun and entertaining. We did this tour before our cruise and it was great because we had the best weather, not too hot.

Buyer beware. This trip touted to be 9 hrs ended up being longer but with less time spent on the premier destination which was Stonehenge. Stonehenge, which we were so excited about, was so chaotic. We spent longer in line to get a shuttle to get up there and shuttle to get back down to our tour than we did at the actual historic site. When all was said and done, we spent 10 mins at the actual site and 90 mins in a line. When we lamented about this to our tour guide, she condescendingly stated “well this is the experience Stonehenge wanted to give you”. When we all got back on the bus, she then said there used to be arrival times for tours, but now it’s as free for all. She then also acknowledged that these are the longest lines she’s seen. Our question is why not warn us of that then? Why not set expectations. Then we went to Windsor, and our guide spent more time giving us directions places and how to get back to bus then actually guiding us thru the sites. We saw plenty of other guides giving tours in/around the sites.
Overall expectations were not set, in fact, they were conflated. We were told we’d have plenty of time at Stonehenge and the shuttle line moves so quickly. It did not.
It was also very hot adding to the dismal experience we had, including poor circulation in the tour bus. This is not necessarily anyone’s fault given the unusual heat wave.
Would not recommend. Find a smaller tour company who actually sets, manages and guides expectations. Find a tour guide who doesn’t dismiss you and provide you with condescending answers/responses.

The guide was good. Explain a lot in 2 sites that we visit. At Windsor the experience was independly without guide.
The Bus AC problem was a big issue.

This was a lovely day today with Lesley and Jerry who guided us to Stonehenge and Windsor Castle on a comfortable coach bus. It was so nice to hear the background of both spots and Lesley’s details were educational and gave us great insight when we actually toured the spots. The day was nice and not too taxing. We had plenty of time at both spots and got back at a reasonable time. The only thing we felt bad about was we didn’t see the gratuity when we signed up on Viator so we didn’t have a lot of cash on us. We did tip, but not as we would have liked or would have if we had known they weren’t included. We highly recommend this tour.

My booking was cancelled last minute and I was told it was because of lack of interest. This was on the Summer Solstice going to Stonehenge and I learned more than 25,000 people went on the day I had booked. Clearly the tour operator lied. I had booked my tour a year in advance and scrambled to change everything just days before. Absolutely terrible!
