It was an awesome experience. Richard was very knowledgeable of the history of the places we visited. He was very attentive and kind. Even though it is a fast pacing tour, we got to do a lot and Richard had everything planned to the small detail to ensure a we had smooth transition and a memorable experience! Thank you to Evan Evans Tours, to Richard and our phenomenal driver!

We spent a wonderful day on this tour. Each place visited was so enjoyed and our tour guide Robert was exceptional. He was full of knowledge and gave us a great understanding of each place with history and his stories. Oxford was our favourite. We learned a lot, the weather was perfect, and we just loved our day and this tour. Highly recommend this tour and if you can get him, Robert as your guide.

Great tour

Stephen_Z, Jul 2026
Our guide Peter was fantastic. We saw so many amazing sites. We had to use our time wisely but I knew going in we would only be getting a small taste of these sites.

Dont take this tour, not worth it

JeanManuel_A, Jul 2026
Did not have enough time to see half of the Windstor and Stonehenge museum. Did not understand half of what the tour guide was saying in spanish nor english

Great tour to stuff a bunch of England into a single day

Marissa_M, Jul 2026
We went on the Evans Evans tour to Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, and Oxford. Our excellent driver was Alex and our super tour guide was Cameron. Cameron was a font of information, history, and anecdotes balanced with some quiet time for us to doze off to the steady rocking of Alex's driving between stops. It was an ambitious tour day with three stops. Cameron did a great job of prepping us for a realistic expectation of how much time we should allow for poking around at each stop, and when to head back to the bus. Even when my travel partner and I got separated, Cameron was offering backup plans in case one of us did not make the scheduled departure. Luckily, those instructions were not needed. At each stop we had enough time to grab some knick knacks for the folks at home or grab a fruity drink, given the heat of the day. Overall, it was a lovely day, with Cameron providing engaging commentary, and Alex displaying brilliant and safe driving expertise. Would definitely recommend!!

Trip was overbooked -the bus was packed not one free seat had to sit away from family. Hot and not very clean. This would all be fine if this excursion did not have 6 hours of bus travel in one day. Would not recommend.

Jennifer_R, Jul 2026
Buses were very nice, but a bit strict on rules. No hot drinks even with kids, and not hot foods. However, minimal time to eat throughout the day. Every stop was rushed and not relaxing. Would have preferred only 2 sites to slow more time in each. Tour team seemed more interested in beating other groups to entrances, and at times seemed aggressive. Windsor should have been later so time was not wasted waiting for it to open. No real time in either Windsor or Oxford because limited time at each. Spent more time on buses than sight seeing. Overall, while guide was pleasant, the day felt rushed and more time on road than seeing things. No time worked in for food and for a full day outing that was not great, especially with bus rules on food and drinks. Also not clear instructions on meeting place in morning.

Great tour but for how much driving we did our tour guide did not talk or educate us along the way while we passed many cities. I wish I would have learned more.

Windsor, Stonehenge and Oxford tour but Windsor closed

Edward_W, Jun 2026
As soon as bus left station, guide stated Windsor castle closed Tuesday and Wednesday and always has been so that stop we will have free time. This was Wednesday. I checked the Viator site where booked and description didn't say anything about that. Additional details didn't state it. A button for more details stated Windsor closed days midway down list. A detail that important should be right in the description of tour. If considered a "detail", should be the 1st! Due to hot weather, decision had been to go Stonehenge 1st. It was fine and met expecting which weren't high. Just a nice to see in person. Then Oxford. Our guide walked us couple blocks and stopped in front of oldest archeological museum. Impressive building but closed due to the heat?? Guide, Andy, then told us what we could expect to see each direction and left the group there. We wandered off separately to look at shops and get lunch. Did find a traditional English pub with great AC and food. I'd read great reviews of visiting Oxford. It is beautiful historic town but didn't seem to get much out of this visit. Last stop Windsor which was my primary interest in the tour. Andy stated several times on bus that castle closed Tuesday Wednesday. Nobody ever questioned him on it so dont know why he kept repeating it. Also like to say no such thing as Oxford university.... Andy walked us to the Castle walls, told us where we could see a good view of entry and what we could expect to see in different directions from where we were. Said when to be at bus and left us. Majority of group walked to entry gate of castle. Could see gate, castle in distance and the long straight road leading to it. Then walked around Windsor town. Very nice historic town. Visited 350 yearbold pub for a pint and very friendly bartenders. Went back to bus on time. Whole group on time but Andy was a few minutes late. Didn't matter but he like all guides had emphasized importance of being on time.

My first Viator trip

Eugine has shown his passion to his profession. Has expressed his knowledge and has lot of patience to walk us thru prominent things along the tour. If you are open for a suggestion - try to have a cooler in the bus and provide complimentary or for a fee water bottle and basic snacks to the guests. This care will take your business to the next level. -

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Dear Guest, Thank you for your wonderful review and valuable suggestion. We’re delighted to hear Eugene’s passion, knowledge and patience made such a positive impact on your day. We also appreciate your feedback regarding offering chilled drinks and snacks on board. Suggestions like yours are incredibly helpful, and we’ll be sure to share them with the relevant team as we continue to improve our guest experience. We hope to welcome you back on another Evan Evans tour soon. Kind regards, Evan Evans

Jennifer_H, Jun 2026
The coach we rode in was excellent. Very clean and comfortable. We had a very good driver who got us there safely and was good at driving in lots of traffic. Our tour guide so knowledgeable about the history of England and all of the places we visited. She really made the tour great by sharing all of her vast knowledge about the places we went. You can tell she really loves her job. We enjoyed the tour immensely but wished we had more time at Windsor Castle and Oxford.

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your wonderful feedback. We're delighted to hear you found the coach clean, comfortable, and enjoyable, and that your driver ensured a safe and pleasant journey throughout the day. It's especially lovely to know that your tour guide's passion, knowledge, and enthusiasm for England's history helped make your experience so memorable. We'll be sure to pass on your kind words to the team. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the time at Windsor Castle and Oxford. Great trip but feeling rushed at each stop

Stephen_A, Jun 2026
Kevin and driver Menitor were quite great. Kevin was the energizer’s bunny, with Red Bull on steroids. He kept us hoping. Unfortunately there is so little free time at any of our 3 stops (Stonehenge, Windsor Castle or Oxford) to do anything after the tour part before rushing to find the bus. There were only a few minutes to find a toilet and no time to souvenir shop. There is far too much time waiting in line to get in or simply getting to the point we were to see. For example we waited in line to get a shuttle to stonehedge and waited in line again for a shuttle bus to get back to the tour bus. We spent more time waiting than seeing the stones (almost running around it to get back on time). It was a full 12 hour day from check in to returning and felt exhausted. Probably seeing 2 things in one day would be better with more free time to enjoy the stop rather than stressing if we would be late. Kevin was wonderful and told many excellent stories on the way and back but the tour is not really a relaxing event, but rather the opposite. Our younger kids were just tired and the heat did not help, but it was a bit too long for them. Overall a good experience but too little time to explore (souvenir shop and take pictures) at each spot and feeling too rushed, which is why I gave it a 4 and not a 5.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We're delighted to hear Kevin's enthusiasm, storytelling and energy made such a positive impression and that Mentor provided a safe and comfortable journey throughout the day. We also appreciate your honest comments regarding the pace of the itinerary. Our three-stop tours are designed to give guests a taste of several iconic destinations in a single day, but we understand this can mean limited free time, particularly during busy periods when queues are unavoidable. Your feedback regarding time for sightseeing, shopping and refreshments is greatly appreciated and will be shared with our team as we continue to review our tours. Thank you again for travelling with us, and we hope to welcome you back on a future tour that allows you to explore at a more relaxed pace. Kind regards, Evan Evans

Highlight tour of Windsor Stonehenge & Oxford

Dulce_L, Jun 2026
This was a great sampling of bucket list places to see Windsor Stonehenge, and Oxford in one day was remarkable. This is a highlight tour. Oxford and Windsor can easily be spent a whole day dedicated to each. But with our limited time schedule, this was perfect. Eileen with her cat umbrella was easy to spot. She was delightful and informative.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Dear Guests, Thank you for your wonderful review. We’re delighted to hear that this tour was the perfect way to experience Windsor, Stonehenge and Oxford during your limited time in England. It’s great to know that Eileen’s informative commentary and easily recognisable umbrella helped make your day both enjoyable and stress-free. Kind regards, Evan Evans

Tour Yes, Guide No

PBurm, Jun 2026
A very full, busy day - just time for an overview at each stop, but if you only have one day, at least you get an overview of these three iconic sites. Our guide was the one downside - her comments were inconsistent and jumped around randomly, her humor was cringeworthy and overly dependent on jokes about getting stoned and eating magic mushrooms, and we only needed to hear about her disdain for the current king and queen once, not repeatedly.

Good trip, long drive

LisaG_G, Jun 2026
We enjoyed our experience, but feel this tour would be better if you could eliminate one of the site visits. It is a very long day of driving. Despite the long day, our guide Omar and driver Brandon were great.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We appreciate your feedback regarding the length of the tour and understand your perspective about the long day of travel. Your comments are valuable and will be taken into consideration as we continue to review and improve our itineraries. We’re glad you still enjoyed the experience overall and hope to see you again on another tour.

Oxford/Windsor/Stonehenge

David_W, Jun 2026
We enjoyed the different locations we went to, and the guide was very knowledgeable, but was in a no-win situation given the itinerary. The tour felt very rushed, especially with the Windsor Castle portion. I would recommend breaking this up, and doing Stonehenge and Oxford as one tour, and do a separate tour for Windsor Castle. Whereas the guide actually guided us through Oxford, there was no such guidance at Windsor Castle. We were left to our own devices there and would’ve benefited from more personal attention at Windsor Castle. We were not really able to see anything of note at Windsor Castle because the tour was so rushed. Furthermore, there needs to be a lunch plan in place for a full day tour like this. Participants were forced just to grab and go items wherever they were and eat them on the bus.

We had a fantastic day visiting Stonehenge, Windsor, and Oxford with Rita as our guide. It was a long day with plenty to see, but Rita kept everything running smoothly and made the journey enjoyable with lots of interesting information and stories along the way. She was friendly, organised, and clearly passionate about the places we visited. We learned a lot and never felt rushed despite covering so much in one day. A great way to see some of England’s most iconic sights, and we’d happily recommend this tour to others.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Dear Guests, Thank you for your wonderful review. We’re delighted to hear that you had a fantastic day visiting Stonehenge, Windsor and Oxford with Rita. It’s wonderful to know that she kept the long day running smoothly while sharing interesting stories and information along the way. We truly appreciate your recommendation. Kind regards, Evan Evans

Too many sites, not enough time.

Harold_M, Jun 2026
The only drawback for me was that visiting three locations in a single day didn’t leave enough time to fully enjoy each stop. With roughly six 1/2 hours spent on the bus, the travel time really added up. I’d recommend choosing a tour that focuses on one or two locations instead of three so you can get more out of the experience.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Dear Harold, We thank you for your feedback and are sorry that you did not get to enjoy each location to your satisfaction we will aim to make travel more engaging and entertaining, a message that will be passed on to all guides and hosts - Even Evens team

Good trip!

Faiza_K, Jun 2026
We were taken to oxford- then Windsor- then Stonehenge. All places roughly 2 hours stop. The guide was excellent! She did a commentary through walkie talkie and then we had an hour or more to walk about ourselves. Of course ideally each location needs more time but we knew we would be getting less time since we are covering 3 places. It was raining in Oxford so we didn’t get to see much, cute town and I can see myself wandering around for 3-4 hours. Windsor was great! Must see to enjoy the history. Stonehenge was good- kids were unimpressed- also it was raining and very cold when we went. Overall the company did a great job and I would recommend them if you’re planning a day trip covering 3 locations. Plus- bus has charging ports!

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Dear Guests, Thank you for your detailed review. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed your day visiting Oxford, Windsor and Stonehenge, and that your guide provided excellent commentary while still allowing time to explore independently. We’re glad the company, coach and charging ports helped make the trip comfortable. We understand that each location could easily be explored for longer, especially with the weather affecting parts of the day, and we appreciate your recommendation for guests planning a three-location day trip. Kind regards, Evan Evans
