Very informative. Extremely knowledgeable. Was obvious Timothy is a true historian and loves studying the history of Amelia Island.
Last part of tour focused on the historical homes in Fernadina. Really enjoyed that and would have liked more of that.

The history of Amelia Island is dense, complicated, and shocking. I highly recommend the tour to anybody who is interested in the history of this place. Our tour guide Tim was extremely knowledgeable. He took time to go into any amount of detail in answers to my questions on any particular piece of the history. Add to that he is a nice friendly guy, and that Ferdinanda Beach is a really nice place to stroll around anyhow, and you have a 5 star tour.

Our tour guide was quite knowledgeable about Fernandina history. We walked around and he pointed out many areas of interest and he was generous with historical facts time offering to go a bit beyond the scheduled tour if we had the time. Fernandina is charming but has a complicated multinational history. We were a group of 5 and enjoyed this tour!

We have been to Fernandina Beach many times and admired the town and historic homes, but the opportunity to know some of the history behind the town helps to understand the importance of certain buildings and houses as well as the military and pirate activity in the area. All very interesting, the tour is well worth it.
Excellent information obtained in the walking tour. Engaging conversation, pace was leisurely. Downtown Fernandina was unique, quaint and pretty.

Loved the tour and the history. The tour guide was awesome as well. He was friendly and passionate about history and his jokes were pretty good too. The flow of the tour was great. The walking distance was just right, not too long or too short. The early morning tour was completed before the massive heat.

You are right, our history is unique in that it had more military campaigns than any other place in the United States for strategic reasons.

Timothy was amazing. We didn’t even realize the tour lasted a little longer than 1.5 hours. The amount of information he has on this Island is extraordinary. This is an absolute must if you want to know everything about how Amelia Island came to be and the incredible history of the eight flags.

Your entire family put a smile on my face.
We throughly enjoyed our walking tour with Timothy! We spent 3 days on Amelia Island and this activity really set the tone for our whole trip! Timothy was very knowledgeable about Amelia Island and his delivery was fun and interesting! It’s obvious he knows a lot of locals on the island and stays current! Our tour was in the middle of the afternoon! We appreciated Timothy accommodating us so we could stand in the shade to keep cool! He even stopped at a local restaurant so we could get a water! Timothy was prompt and friendly! We will definitely schedule another tour when we return to Amelia Island!
