I was not able to find the tour guide at the meeting location. I showed up 15 minutes before the start time and waited there for up to an hour hoping to catch the next tour. I requested a refund and was told I either went to the wrong location, or showed up at the wrong time. I took pictures to show as proof and have emails to confirm info. Customer service was rude and kept making finding excuses to blame me for not finding the tour guide on a large crowd. I even went inside the Lindt store to ask for help/ guidance. Will not recommend this service.

Based on the information available, it appears you arrived at the wrong meeting location and also later than the required check-in time. For this reason, you were unfortunately unable to locate the group.

Waste of money. This is not a skip the line tour. You will wait in the extremely long line for 2 hours.

I believe that it is important to see the Florence Doumo Cathedral for its age, size and significance. It is decorated in much of a different style, which appeared to be a disappointment to some, however, consider it was built in the 13th century. The fresco on the ceiling of the dome is magnificent. You will not regret going to see it.

"Small Group Tour Skip-the-Line".
Probably our worst experience in florence. You mislead readers with these headlines to book tours and take money without offering anything. What else could "skip the line" mean. We paid you, to tell us come from 09.30 stand in line and when the cathedral opens you will enter (for everyone the entrance is free). what should anyone think that is? Also the small groups cannot be 25 people. that is not a small group.

1. About “Skip-the-Line”
At the Florence Cathedral (Duomo), all visitors must go through the mandatory security line controlled by Opera del Duomo. This security line cannot be skipped by any tour operator.
What the “skip-the-line / hosted entry” includes is the reserved entry slot and our host assisting you through the correct line, avoiding the general queue for visitors without reservations. Unfortunately, on some mornings the security check can move slower than usual, which affects all groups.
2. Entrance Fee
The cathedral itself is free to enter, but our product includes:
A host to manage the reserved entry process
Organization, instructions, and assistance at the meeting point
Audio guide in multiple languages
These are the services included in the price.
3. Group Size
We are sorry if the group felt larger than expected. During high season, authorized hosts assist several guests per time slot, but everyone is still managed in small sub-groups during the entry procedure. We will review your comment to ensure clearer communication.

I do not recommend this service. The tour guides were not friendly and borderline rude. The tour guide provided nonstop talking, but not information that was easy to understand. The tour group started 15 min late. Although this gets you into the dome, you will need to go in line. I was very disappointed in this tour.

Well worth the wait in the long lines.
Try not to do a Tuesday, as most places are closed on a Monday, and so Tuesday is chaos. We were the first tour of miss the queue, however we waited for over an hour, as mass only finished at 10 15.
Was very pleased to have visited the Duomo.

We had a very fun, informative & interactive tour with Patricia. She was extremely knowledgeable, not just on the Duomo & its history but with various topics of Italian & European heritage. I am a very big history buff, and Patricia really impressed me. She spoke excellent English, and was always cracking jokes. I HIGHLY recommend requesting Patricia for your tour. Be sure to book skip the line tours only. Stood in line for hr and a half. Tour person spoke rapid, heavily accented English...we could not understand her...gave up...gave her back the microphone and did a self toyr...total waste of money.

Skip-the-line: At the Cathedral there is no possibility to bypass the mandatory security check. All visitors, regardless of ticket or tour, are subject to the same process. Our product is advertised clearly, and entry was provided as per the booking.
Guide quality: Our licensed guides are selected for their professionalism and language skills. We do not accept the claim that the tour was “a waste of money,” as the service was delivered exactly as described.
For these reasons, we fully reject the content of this review as inaccurate.

Was advertised as "skip the line" but we waited in line with everyone else for 40 mins in the Craig. And paid $20AUD for the privilege. The tour guide was very informative...which was great. But the start was disappointing. Another couple couldn't get on the tour despite paying. We were all annoyed. Disappointed!

We asked for English guided tour and he started to speak Italian
Then he makes us do a long line when we were told there won’t be a line and when my wife asked the tour guide what’s the name of the entrance he started yelling the entrance door had no name which is not truth. And also there mislead us

Wonderful tour. Did not have to queue for long and the guide made the waiting time pass quickly by providing a comprehensive history and background to the building, it's construction and the politics of the time. Guide was very informed and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend!

We booked a 9.25am tour so we could then get to our next tour at 11am which was very nearby. The tour does NOT start as that time. You line up and the Duomo does but open until 10.15am. This meant that by the time we got thru security and actually inside it was 10.30. We had 10 mins to look and could not listen to the guide or the information. Very disappointing.
The guide was amazing and had outs of knowledge.
Just beware that this tour does not start as indicated.

Off day for the tour group. They were having trouble supplying enough radios and did not have enough tour guides. We were in a large group of about 30 people and it was difficult to follow. The tour guide was also very flustered by the situation.

They sell tickets for 9:30 AM but the Duomo opens at 10:15 AM, so you stand in line for 45 minutes listening to the tourist guide talking to people and goofing off. Don’t arrive before 10:15 AM to waste precious time in Florence.

We thought it was ‘skip the line’ and it was not. We waited for more then an hour. The church interior is quite bare, the outside is more beautiful. I didn’t find it worth the wait and the cost.

We booked this tour because the description claimed we would skip the line. Instead we stood in line outside for 30 minutes. The guide was difficult to understand as the equipment cut in and out, and the English too was difficult to understand.
