Highly recommend the small group tour as the museum is very crowded and being in a small group allows for you to be a little bit more nimble and get closer to the paintings while also receiving very detailed information about them. Our guide, Gianna, was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much information with us. Loved the combination of Ufizzi and Accademia with a walking tour past Il Duomo. Beautiful day of art!

We enjoyed visiting each of the museums and seeing the signature works of art. The problem came in with the transaction time in waiting to get into the museums and waiting for other guests to join the 2d half of the tour as well the inadequacy of the walking tour - not much to it. And, finally, the guide was difficult to understand. If we had to do it over again, we would book small group tours *separately* to each museum.

Did a half day tour of Uffizi museum, and Academy to view David. The small tour group leader Leo was nice, personable, and informative and very educated around the art we viewed. It’s obvious he had deep knowledge of art, and the artists, plus the historical facts on each period. he went above and beyond to answer my frequent questions. His experience in managing the tour successfully around all of the many crowded rooms, allowed us to maximize the time spent viewing the art.

Our Uffizi and Accademia Museums tour with Alessandra (if I remember her name correctly) was fantastic. She was extremely knowledgeable being a professor at a local university with a PhD. Looking back, I can't imagine trying to navigate all of the amazing artwork in the two galleries without her expertise. We would have missed out on so much!

Our flight was canceled twice and we could not make it for our tour. I tried multiple times to get in touch with Viator to let them know we wanted to cancel or reschedule. They never picked up the phone line and did not answer any of my emails. They charged me for the tour.

Shortened but excellent tour

During the week that we visited Florence the Accademia was free to the public but closed to tour guides. As a result, our combined Uffizi and Accademia Walking Tour had to be limited to the Uffizi. Fortunately our tour guide did such an excellent job that our disappointment was minimal. His history training was apparent as he responded early on to a question from a member of our group and seeing our response, he decided to orient the tour accordingly. The examples he showed us in numerous paintings and the historical connections clearly demonstrated for us the transitions from medieval to Renaissance art. His explanations of the original building added to our enjoyment. All in all, it was a wonderful morning.

Our small group tour of the Uffizi and Accademia was exactly what we had hoped for. Our tour guide, Francesca, was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about Florence, the two museums we visited and the art we viewed there. We had 9 people in our group which helped to move through the very crowded museums. Having skip the line access was absolutely essential to avoid a very long wait in the lines that formed outside the museums. It was also very helpful to have earphones to hear our tour guide so that while she was telling us about a particular painting, we could walk around the room and look at other pieces of art but still hear what she had to say. It was also crucial to have a well informed guide who could point out the most prominent pieces at the museum as there is a lot to see. Francesca also provided us with the history and other information about Florence as we walked between the museums. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you are lucky and get Francesca as your tour guide!
