What To Expect
Meet your tour leader in the center of Florence. One of the advantages of this tour is that it begins in the late afternoon, leaving you time to explore Florence during the day.
Board your coach or minivan and head out to the Chianti countryside. Arriving at a small-scale, local wine estate, you’re handed a glass to use for wine tastings during the evening.
Tour the wine estate, visit the onsite chapel, and taste wines along the way. The highlight of this trip is a 4-course dinner under the stars in a courtyard decorated with candles and torches.
Sit down for a welcome aperitif with bruschetta and Tuscan cured meats. Move onto the “pappa al pomodoro,” a Tuscan bread soup. The rest of your outdoor dinner includes a meat dish, dessert, and water and wine.
Your night ends with drop-off at your original departure point.

We were very disappointed with the experience.
The advertising is not at all what we experienced, the location and set up wasn’t at all what you see on advertising.
Dinner wasn’t in the vines with lights as shown on picture.
Actually We didn’t see any vines on the property.
Supper was very ordinary, left hungry.

Dear Customer,
Thank you for sharing your feedback!
We're really sorry to hear that the tour didn’t match what you expected, especially the setting and the dinner. It truly disappoints us to know you didn’t have a good impression.
We appreciate your honesty, and we’ll use your feedback to improve the quality of our service and ensure everything reflects what we advertise.

My Tour In Italy
Nothing was mentioned in tour description that we would all be dropped off on our own for an hour in a touristy town while they went to pick up other people for the tour. The bus didn't have wifi as was advertised and you are on it for over 2 hours.
Dinner in the vineyard was in a beautiful setting but it felt like we were being forced to listen to a very long sales pitch on the wine (which they ship to the us "for free" but prices start at 50eu per bottle).
The food served at dinner was the only bad food we've eaten in Italy. The lasagna tasted like it was cooked hours before and served as a vehicle for tasting for their truffle oil and chilli pepper oil (which they also ship for exorbitant prices) and some of the meats were too tough to cut with a knife. IF you have never been to a wine tasting and don't know how to taste wine, and want to be instructed on everything from how to hold the glass, how to swirl the wine, how big of a sip to take and for how long, and how to recognize the flavors, and don't care about having conversation with your dinner companions, then this may be the right tour for you. Unfortunately we didn't appreciate the constant chatter about the tasting or the sales pitch that endured throughout the entire dinner. It felt like a time share pitch. This was not a relaxing or enjoyable dinner. But the setting was gorgeous and we got to see some beautiful scenery on the way to dinner!

Make sure you know exactly where to meet up for meeting place. Viator sent me 2 places and we missed our ride nd they said driver would not wait for us so weended up paying for a taxi $$$$$ to get to the winery.

All the time they try to sell us wine.
The tour guide was a mess.
The van was so noisy that we couldn’t listen the tour guide and the microphone was a disaster too.
Response from Host, Sep 2024
Dear Customer,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations.
We want to clarify that our focus during the tour is not solely on selling wine.
The wineries do offer wines for purchase so that guests can enjoy the selections they liked at home, but there is absolutely no pressure to buy.
Regarding your comments about our guide, we pride ourselves on having experienced professionals, and this tour's guide has been with us for many years, consistently providing valuable insights and knowledge to our guests.
As for the noise in the van, we understand that it can be challenging, especially with multiple customers on board.
We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
We value your feedback and will take it into consideration as we strive to improve our tours. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts.

Fantastic experience despite the fact it rained and we were forced indoors. The winery and host were amazing and the food and wines were simply delicious. Would have been five star but the bus driver and host on the bus trip from Florence had zero personality simply ticked off the fact that you were there and told us what was fir dinner nothing like hosts on other wine tours we gave done that were informative and fun.

This was a great night! Great food and great wines. Simone, our tour guide was great!
Bugs outside were a little annoying.
Response from Host, Aug 2024
Dear Customer,
Thank you for your feedback.
We're glad to know that you enjoyed the food, wine, and Simone's guidance.
As the dinner is held outside in nature, occasional bugs are unfortunately a part of the experience.
We appreciate your understanding and hope it didn't detract too much from your evening.
We look forward to welcoming you again soon.

My Tour in Italy team.
Giovanni the driver was on time and very pleasant. Unfortunately, somewhere in the booking aviator/tour co they made a mistake with a reservation. After driving 45 min past the vineyard to the next pick up station which was supposed to be another couple and it was actually a family of 7. Only 5 available seats in the van. Gio took us and 5 then went back for the other two. To end the evening we had to stay at the vineyard past closing to allow him to take them back to there place and then turn around and get us. He took us directly to our hotel which was nice. However, from the time dinner ended until will got back to our hotel was 2 hours. It was 12 am.
The vineyard was lovely and the staff amazing. But again they weren’t prepared for this many so the graciously scrambled to fulfill the evening. The wines and balsamic were wonderful. We bought some and they will ship it to the states for us. Appetizer antipasto and first course lasagna were delicious. Second course was average chicken and sausage.

Marco, our tour guide to the winery, was so informative!
Simone was a WONDERFUL tour guide at the winery! We got to taste as well as smell balsamic and cannot go back to store bought. We got to try truffle olive oil and homemade lasagna. The meal was wonderful and we tried 4 types of wine. I don't like wine and I found a white I really enjoy.

I was very disappointed that it was not held outside! Said it had rained and it hadn’t and not did it. Our host was nice but it was all very rushed and at the end of the evening we were rushed out! It included no outdoor even photo opportunity!
Response from Host, Jun 2024

We deeply apologize for any disappointment caused by the change in the dinner location.
Our team always aims to provide the best possible experience for our customers, and in this case, due to unforeseen circumstances, we made the decision to hold the dinner indoors.
While we understand your desire for an outdoor setting, please know that our decision was based on considerations for the weather conditions and ensuring your comfort during the meal.
Regarding the perceived rush towards the end of the evening, we apologize if it felt hurried.
We strive to maintain a balanced pace throughout our tours, allowing guests to enjoy each aspect fully.
We regret any missed opportunities for outdoor photos and understand the value of capturing such moments.

Thank you for choosing us, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with an improved experience in the future.

Aweful. The tour bus took us to a castle and we were late. Arriving after sunset, raining so dinner was inside and crowded with about 45 people. The court and cellar were too dark to see anything. The food was just ok, wine was sparse. DO MOT DO GHIS TOUR!
The setting was beautiful The wine flowed the hosts were knowledge and fun ! Amazing tour I would do it again

Service was excellent, wine was incredible. Food was not great. The table needed to be up higher on solid ground.
Better vineyards in area.

The tour began with us meeting our tour guide at a local train station which was located outside of the city center. This was concerning as we knew we were going to be arriving home late and everything would be shut down but fortunately the young lady and the bus driver said they would take us into the city at the conclusion of the tour. We then boarded a comfortable bus and we were off! We were driven into the hills surrounding Florence to the Poggio Ai Laghi vineyard. When we arrived we were greeted by a member of the family who shared with us the history of their wine while he poured generous portions of their local products which they paired nicely with bread, cheese, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. After the presentation we were led to a long table in the vineyard where we were served generous portions of wine a wonderful home cooked meal. The only thing missing was music. Thanks again for a wonderful night!
This was amazing! We had a beautiful night with an amazing host. You literally have someone cooking in the vineyard separate from the others.
Awesome! Got to meet really nice people. The staff and owners were amazing. They even offer meals for people with allergies. I highly recommend it.
The coach transport was comfortable. The commentary during the transport was challenging to understand and not particularly engaging. The arrival at the vineyard was lackluster and awkward. We got off the coach and walked to a fenced in area where we were served a glass of white wine and directed to sit in a variety of chairs around a budget hotel-esq pool. It was hot and shade was minimal. No one really knew what we were supposed to be doing. During this awkward time, our group was discussing whether there was a way to get back to town rather than stay for the being. On the upside, they kept the white wine coming. Eventually we walked to the cellar, which was also lackluster. From there we went to picnic tables set up between rows of grape vines. Again, it was very hot and there was no shade. We were offered two different wines during the dinner. Both were fine, and we were given enough for our end of the table. Dinner was fine. Charcuterie to start then a meat course that included grilled sausages, chicken, and porch chops. We were offered the traditional biscuits and after dinner cordial to dip the biscuits in. The location was not particularly picturesque. There were two portable toilets for guest use, which was less than ideal. Overall, we were disappointed. The best part was conversation at dinner with table mates.
I’m left speechless and feel like this was a scam. We were expecting a beautiful winery experience . I think the phots of the winery restrooms says it all. (If you saw the inside, it was even worse -it’s been a long time since they had been emptied). The meal was supposed to include bbq meats, potatoes, lasagna, salami and cheese.ms. The meat was dried and overcooked and of poor quality and served on a patter of browned lettuce leaf. This platter was shared with the people around us. We also shared a small plated of cheese and salami and a bag of biscotti. THAT WAS IT. When asked about the rest of the meal that was in the event description, they plead ignorance. Ambiance was not as shown. No white table cloth, only pink paper napkins. Sat on long wooden bench not individual chairs. Minimal amounts of was served. On our end of the table 7 people to one bottle. The tour was a joke. I don’t know what to say other than we were so very disappointed with this experience and will be sharing this story with all family and friends . The only positive is we met some very lovely people.
This is one of the best memories I will take with me from Italy. Be prepared to take a Tram to the Villa Costanza tram stop to meet your tour guides. Then Expect a bit of a ride on a tour bus to the vineyard. You arrive at the vineyard which is a modest farm. There’s a brief tour of the barns where the wine is made. Then everyone sits on long benches where you are served cold meats and a peasant dish as an appetizer which is then followed by unlimited fresh hot chicken, sausages and pork straight from the grill. The wine was delightful but the conversation and friendships formed over dinner from people from all parts of the world was the highlight. The ride back was filled with singing and laughter. Our guide was an extraordinary young woman who endured lots of singing on the bus back to Florence. She went above and beyond to make sure the group returned safely to Florence.

This was such an amazing time! Met great people, the winery was beautiful, the setting was romantic and personable and the winery family made sure to give you enough wine and delicious food to keep everyone happy and full!

Dear customers, thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that you spent such a lovely time with our staff. Thank you so much, have a nice trip here in Italy!
The coach was very nice. The tour guide arranged a Taxi after the evening for our large group of 5 since we stayed outside the city. The host was charming. We appreciated that we could order products and have them shipped home.

Dear customer, thank you for your feedback! we are glad to hear you enjoyed this experience. Have a nice trip in Italy!
It was incredible! Me and my boyfriend had a blast. Amazing wines, olive oils and vinegars. Good food, but a bit too much in quantity, we thought it was a bit of a waste. Maybe ask about it before serving this huge amount of food would be more sustainable. The place is beautiful, I'd love to visit the old vineyard, but we went to the newest one.
Easily one of the surprise highlights of our honeymoon! We sipped Chianti while watching the sunset. We ate a beautiful meal amongst the vines and met some great people at the table. A little further out from town but well worth the ride. Bring a snack for the bus or just grab a late lunch that day that is what we did... No worries on the way back though! We were full!
I was really looking forward to this this trip and thought it was going to be the highlight of our vacation. I really wanted to see the Tuscan countryside and experience eating outside in the vineyards. However, it was raining and we had to wait for the bus in the rain for an hour because the bus was late. By the time we got out of the city, it was too dark to see any scenery. We arrived at the location, which was very nice, but again, too dark to appreciate it. We ate inside and for the most part, the people we were seated with were nice. The tour guide explained about the wines which were pretty good. The food was marginal which included some kind of dish which was bread crumbs mixed with tomato sauce, and dried out BBQ meat. The bruschetta, meat and cheeses were all very good. On the bus ride home, a woman who had too much wine and was sitting in the seat across the aisle from us, was throwing up. All in all, this trip was extremely disappointing. However it was mainly due to the weather and other circumstances. If I were to make suggestions to the tour company they would be: Start this trip earlier in the day so people can enjoy the scenery and give a tour of the vineyards and wine making process. Make sure you use a reliable bus company that will be on time. Don't make everyone wait in the rain. Change the menu by dropping the tomato mush dish and including pasta, and change the dried out BBQ meat to something else.
The tour bus was a little late be we all still had an amazing time with great company! Dinner was ok, but the aperitifs and wine were the best!
This tour did not suck, seriously. Our group size was small, I believe we had less than 20 people...which made for an intimate setting. The drive out was a bit long, but it was nice to see a bit of the countryside. The vineyard itself was absolutely beautiful. Also, the wine was plentiful, and the food delicious and portions generous. Our tour guide, Adrianna which I may have absolutely got her name wrong/misspelled was a terrific guide and host. My partner and I had a great time talking with her throughout the evening.
Overall, this was a great experience. I would definitely recommend it.
Amazing!!!!! This was by far the best tour we did on our trip. We went to Chianti and had wine and appetizers at a beautiful winery. We walked to where we saw such a beautiful sunset before heading down to the vineyard where they had lights and tables in the vineyard. We were seated between the vines. We had as much wine as you cared for and ate BBQ with grilled veggies and we started with a tomato and bread soup. The desert was panacotta and it was the best. They took us back to Florence on the bus and dropped us at the train station. Our hotel was close by but if you needed there were plenty of taxi's at the train station. It was such a beautiful place to have dinner and the wine was so very good.
Overall a nice tour. Leaves late in the afternoon so you have all day in Florence. The drive is fairly long but with some great views of the mountains and the area. When you arrive they serve appetizers with a tasting of three wines. The two better ones are served last, and are not part of the dinner. The terrace has a nice view of the vineyards below. Afterwards you walk down to the dinner tables set in between the rows of vines with a bbq pit right there. Food is abundant but not spectacular.
This tour was amazing! It was a beautiful evening and a picturesque setting. The people in our group were a lot of fun. The food was amazing! So m much food we could not eat it al!
