Climb on your own

A_M, Jun 2023
Do it on your own. The guide adds little value. Lots of steps but view from the top is good. Around the dome you are rushed. - can’t stop to look at the art.

Perfecto

Our guide was excellent. She knew the history of the Doumo cold. Very responsive to all of our questions about the history and architecture.

Fun climb but not enough time at top

Patty_W, Jun 2023
Easy meeting place and wonderful guide, we had a very small group. We had some trouble hearing her sometimes with climbers inside the Duomo but she gave us great information along the climb. Only complaint is once we reached top of Duomo they were closing. Guide asked them to allow us ten minutes to take some pictures, they agreed and she said goodbye. Soon as she left they made us leave. Hardly worth the climb if you can’t take pictures. Recommend an earlier tour time.

Martina was very friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging (steep stairs, lots of them and limited time).

Wonderful guide, beautiful view

Faith_R, Jan 2023
This was a wonderful experience. The tour guide was so knowledgeable and interesting. There was a mix up and a couple who spoke only French also booked the tour and the guide switched languages back and forth to provide everyone with the information. It was wonderfully impressive. The view from the top is breathtaking.

Lots of stairs - bring water lol.

Ivano was fantastic. He explained to us where everything was in Firenze and was very knowledgeable. The climb is quite steep and the hallways are definitely not for those who are claustrophobic. Would 100% recommend if you love the Duomo!

We Loved It!

My lady friend and I (both age 64) did the climb. It was strenuous, but we made it. The climb gives you the chance to get up close and personal with the frescoes on the inside of the dome, which are beautiful. It also gives a spectacular view of the city. Recommendation: Do this on Day 1 so you can see where the attractions are in the city, in relation to one another.I do not recommend trying this with kids under age 10. I do not recommend it for tired guests, or guests with back, knee, or ankle problems. If I bring my kids (ages 10 and 16) to Florence I would do this with them.
